Good video Melissa. I am so glad to see videos that introduce women to wet shaving. After 30 years of shaving with an electric razor, I switched to a double edge about 3 years ago. I look forward to shaving every day. So many wonderful soaps out there. My favorites are Tiki Bar and Soap Commander.

Ladies, here is some advise from a man who has been using straight razors for many years. First, just don't dip the razor in water, it is better to wipe it off with a tissue or toilet paper. Once finished rinse it off with cold water and wipe with cloth but do not touch the edge. I ususally dip it in alcohol (rubbing alcohol and wipe off again and then let the blade rest for at least 24-48 hours to allow it to relax.
Ha! Like we're allowed to go without a shave for 48 hours.

Gnorts Mr Alien This video might not be explicitly about sex, but shaved legs are attractive to most men. That's just a fact. And like I said, saying "wow you have gorgeous legs" isn't gross. But going "damn I'd like to have those legs wrapped around me" *is* gross. Get what I'm saying?

I tried this today and was so excited but am not impressed. I had to finish with a disposable razor because the straight razor didn't get all the hair. Suggestions?
Straight razor shaving is a learning process. Be sure you have a super sharp straight razor, hit that perfect audible angle, and do skin stretching. Stretching the skin will get you a closer shave and you won't skip over hairs. Leg hair tends to not be as coarse (for me personally) and I find if the angle or skin isn't stretched it tends to split hairs razor then shave them. :)
It just takes practice an patients to learn the blade an how it works best on your skin go slow an enjoy it like meditation of shorts
Which one is better and which one would I be least likely to be cut with a lot? Because I'm loving the idea of shaving with a straight razor
Say you’re a cyclist and you shave your legs only in the summer and just started using a de safety razor... should you start with an electric trimmer with say a 1 guard on to clear it down before razoring? That is what I’ve done in the past prior to using a disposable multi blade. Thanks.
You can if you want to but might not be entirely necessary if you have a very sharp blade in the razor. Really just comes to whatever you feel is more comfortable.

You can but cream works best and depending on the type of straight razor you can either use by replaceable blades or you sharpen it using it a leather strop

Melissa, my sister is interested in trying a DE safety razor. Which brand and model would you recommend? I have several I use for my face, but wonder if women would prefer something different with perhaps a long handle or some other features?
Long handles help for sure. Something that is a mild to medium aggressive razor is great.

@@darrengilbert7438 I purchased a razor from another shave company and it was good. It shaved good. Then I got the Bambaw DE safety razor on Amazon and I found it was much easier to get and keep the razor on the correct angle. It has long enough handle for shaving legs. It's around $20-25 depending if you get the stand with razor or just the razor. They have many colors to choose from. Some say "women", some say "men", but they're all the same. She'll have to experiment with blades until she finds what works for her. If she wants more feminine scent shave soaps stirling soap company has some. They also have gender neutral scents. Plus they have matching scent aftershave, body butter and body (bar) soap. Great for men and women. How this helps.

So I noticed you shaved against the hair, when using a straight blade are you not supposed to shave in the direction of the hair?

I love my Safety Razor! I use it as an opportunity to relax and take some time for myself.. It is very relaxing sitting on the edge of the bathtub & sparkin a fat joint 🌬 More Female's need to get on this new safety razor routine it's way more logical to have one in your life & you save way more money and trips to the store, wet shaving has changed my life indeed I really enjoy the Traditional way of shaving. Wish there was more cute items for women to buy for WetShaving not alot of pink bowls and brushes or vanilla scented soap lathers lol .
Stirling Soap Co has women scented shave soaps. Plus matching soap, body butter and aftershave. The shave soap lathers good and smells really good.
