    I usually use black poster board for my base since its heavier,but what cardstock you use for your black and color pieces?

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  5 лет назад +1

      Angela, I use Close To My Heart black cardstock but poster board would be a much sturdier base for the larger images. I also put use cardboard to create a stand, which adds to the structure. This can be a stick style form attached to the back ao the project may be inserted into a pot or stand or a V style cut so the image may stand alone.

    also if i do this with transfer paper instead of vinyl would i have to print the image out first with the design space and then when i go to cut it itll cut the image out peice by peice off the one big image? or will it just cut it all out at once?

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  6 лет назад

      charito garcia I have never done it with vinyl or transfer paper. Will have to experiment with other materials

    How do you do you do the black background? you are clicking on the pieces but when I do it it doesn't turn black

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  5 лет назад

      Tammy, I am deleting each of the pieces so that only the black background piece remains on the duplicate image.

  • @Christine-rx8di

    ok this may be a stupid question but can you explain to me the positioning of the mats? i don't understand when your putting in the numbers

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  4 года назад

      Hi Christine, I am positioning the white square shapes next to each other so that as I slice the Mickey image, the sliced piece will be under the 11 1/2 required size to cut. Does that make sense?

    Am I able to do this on the cricut app on my phone?

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  4 года назад

      Yes you may size in the app. You will have to play with selecting each set of images for the slicing

    I’m doing this on a iPad. I got to the part right before you slice. I did everything but it’s not allowing me to pick slice. Help please

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  Год назад

      Slice only works when two images are chosen, usually when the tool is nor selectable, you either have only one image or multiple images chosen. I hope this helps

      Same here. It doesnt give me the option to ungroup or to even slice when I select a box and my image

  • @theresalatimore7055

    Went side by side with your video but the slice action won't work. Only Dup, Del, and contour are lite up. Any suggestions

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  5 лет назад +1

      Be sure you are only selecting one background square and the Mickey. Slice only works with two images selected

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  5 лет назад +1

      The way I select is to click on one image, hold down the shift key and click.on the second image

    Could you have ungroup the white parts? Instead?

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  5 лет назад

      The white parts were not grouped but instead a single image

    Everything is good until its time to slice. I can't click on it.

    • @rockinheARTist
      @rockinheARTist  5 лет назад +1

      Tim, you have to be sure you only have two items selected. When looking at the Layer section on the right side, if you see more than two items selected, it will not let you slice. Be sure you are ungrouping the Mickey figure so you are working with only the background of Mickey and one of the 12"x12" sections. hope this helps
