Thanks for sharing you have some beautiful 🌶️ peppers❣️ I have found Pure-horseradish at “fresh market” a store here in SC Don’t forget rosemary and thyme! For your breathing as well ❤
Just made my first batch! Excited to try it in 4-6 weeks. You explained everything perfectly especially the details which I needed 😊Thank you! Do you have an elderberry syrup recipe?
Thank you for all the great information on Fire Cider. I have been researching a lot but you gave me the best information. I am going to try to make some. I wanted to reach through my computer & get some snuggles from those precious children. Thank you again for sharing.
Thank you so much for that kind feedback. It means a lot. I know I said some things several times after rewatching it and seeing the video myself and I was like 🤦🏻♀️ but I had some pretty cute distractions. 🥰🥰
I have found that rubbing alcohol will remove tumeric “stains” 😊. One question do you have to peel the ginger and turmeric? Can it just be washed well and then chopped to add to the cider?
Wonderful recipe. Can't wait to make this! Do you need to store the liquid in the refrigerator once it is steeped or can it be left at room temperature?
Indefinitely!!! I’ve never known it to go bad. It’s vinegar based so that preserves it. Basically it just matures, gets a bit stronger as it ages. But not bad.
After 6 weeks strain and use it when you start feeling poorly. About a tablespoon at a time. Or less if it’s too strong. You can also mix with honey if it’s too stout for you to take straight. If your tonsils are inflamed, gargle with it.
I think I have tried the honey but my problem has been getting nauseous right after I take it and I’m not a wimp😂I really would love to find a way to take it because I have used it with great success before. It really works!! Glad that you made the video❤️
Thank you! Sweet helpers too. 🤗🥰

Yes! If I had some they would have made it into the jar too. I was just out. 😉
Can you use dried herbs.?

Just subbed and will be making this for this year. Thanks for the info. 😊
Thank you so much!! So happy that you’re here. 💛
Thank you 🙏
you’ve mentioned fermented garlic how do you make that?
I have a tutorial on my instagram. But I’ll try and get a video made soon too! 💛

I’ve done it both ways. Peeled and not. I prefer the final product peeled best. But it works either way.
Thanks for the tip by the way!!
Thank you for the video. I am new to fire cider and am wondering if I drink this or gargle with it? Thanks for any insight you may have.
Both! If you know your tonsils are inflamed then definitely gargle too!
Wonderful recipe. Can't wait to make this! Do you need to store the liquid in the refrigerator once it is steeped or can it be left at room temperature?
You can either store in the fridge or in a cabinet at room temp, although it will get stronger or more potent the longer it sets at room temp.
@@heritageacreshomestead Thank you so much!
About how long will the Fire Cider be good after fermenting and straining? Thanks!!
Indefinitely! It’s vinegar based so it really just grows in intensity. It will get more potent the longer it sets.
I made this fire cider and am wondering how long it’s good for on the shelf or in the fridge. Thank you.
Indefinitely!!! I’ve never known it to go bad. It’s vinegar based so that preserves it. Basically it just matures, gets a bit stronger as it ages. But not bad.
Thank you. Thats what I thought also.
Would it work to use some sweet peppers in place of the hot?
No, it wouldn’t be nearly as good. You really need the hot for this concoction.
Can you use dried herbs?
You can! Now if you do, it may become a little cloudier in the final product. But it will be fine if you use dry. 😊
So now what? When is it ready and how do you use it?
After 6 weeks strain and use it when you start feeling poorly. About a tablespoon at a time. Or less if it’s too strong. You can also mix with honey if it’s too stout for you to take straight. If your tonsils are inflamed, gargle with it.
I like fire cider but it makes me really sick on my stomach. I wonder if I could cut the vinegar with plain apple cider.
Many take it with honey. So it’s not so hard or heavy on the stomach. Have you tried that?
I think I have tried the honey but my problem has been getting nauseous right after I take it and I’m not a wimp😂I really would love to find a way to take it because I have used it with great success before. It really works!! Glad that you made the video❤️
