    Literally had no idea what was going on, watched your video, walked straight out to the car and looked at the hose and there she was a crack the same size as yours in EXACTLY the same spot. Thank you man. We purchased the same hose 30 minutes later.

    SAVED MY BACON! I took the bloody truck to the mechanic 3 times. All 3 times was told "cleared the computer, should fix itself" - they didn't even try to identify the code. After Googling like a maniac, I found this video. Groped under the hood & wouldn't ya know, bloody split in the hose! Ordered a part & fixed it for less than $50. Huge kudos, Mate! B #agirlcalledB

    Wow, talk about great timing. My Ranger's been running sluggish, blowing smoke, chewing more fuel. Not limp mode but not its usual self. Scangauge showed the same code as "pending", googled it. Bingo! Found your video, just now checked the utes hose & a sure enough its got a split. New hose will go on tomorrow. thanks for putting this out there. saved me a, no doubt, expensive visit to a dealer.

    Legend. Intercooler hose had a split on my 2012 BT-50. SOS tape applied and waiting for part from Plazmaman. Much appreciated.

    Thank you for this video, I spent a stupid amount of money at a Ford mechanic who couldn't fix this problem. It turns out my ford had a cracked intercooler which i replaced (quite easy to do) but this video sent me in the right direction. this is also a very common problme with these model fords.

    Awesome mate . Thx for that . 2012 ranger , done 200k, gone to limp mode every time driving over 85 with the orange cog wheel light on the dash , sprayed water over the hose and straight away I saw the water was bursting beneath the hose indicating a hair line cracks. Bought the same silicon hose recommended on the video, used Toledo hook tool to release the old hose that was stucked, 15 minutes later I drove the ranger in a freeway for 100k/h and problems sorted, Thank heaps !!

    Wow, this is interesting. You'd think with all the Rangers/bt50s we service at the workshop we would of seen this problem but that's the first time I've heard of it. Sweet that's something I'll keep my eye on when we check them over.
    Man that data scanner has been a life saver for you a few times now!!! And good choice in replacement pipe too. Plasmaman are an epic product. That's what I got on the nav 👍😎

    Been there done that. My Ranger had done about 135,000 K when the hose went. Couldn't sort it out until I bought an OBD2 anyliser. Replaced with a silicon hose and all good. Also MAF replaced at same time. All parts purchased on Ebay and all going well now. One word of advice is to use super clamps on silicon hose as it is not as grippy as rubber. Ordinary clamps can slip off if not done up super tight.

    I have had P00BD code for 4 months I’ve got 3” exhaust, upgraded intercooler and dynotune on my first ranger, no splits in hose (smoke tested) and no idea what issue is. Only happens 3/4 throttle uphills at 80kmph+ (eg heavy torque load) otherwise it’s fine. Tuner has changed tune to allow higher torque threshold but still happens. I’ve changed MAF sensor still does it. Stumped.

    • @OlsenH6
      @OlsenH6 10 месяцев назад

      Has the issue been resolved? I'm having the same issue right now. I've changed the intercooler hose to a stainless steel piping yet the P00BD code still appears but simply turning it off then turning it back on will make the check engine light disappear and the car becomes normal again. This issue would randomly appear when it's cold outside.

    • @chimeranzl9147
      @chimeranzl9147 10 месяцев назад

      @@OlsenH6 yeah, turned out to be the K&N filter I put in, I oiled it as you are supposed to do, the oil residue under heavy acceleration must have got onto the MAF sensor causing the code to get thrown, changing back to standard filter and cleaning MAF sensor with MAF cleaner several times ultimately sorted it

    Well I have Ford Everest 2.5L BT50 engine
    So the problem is black smoke (more than yours)
    No power/acceleration...after 2000 RPM I can feel the turbo boost and then it accelerates but puffs a lot of black smoke
    Ford Guys are not being able to diagnose the problem I’ve already spent a lot of money to them but found no solution yet
    All I know is there’s no boost leak and no engine code
    Cleaned all the intake manifold and replaced the EGR valve
    Now I’m frustrated with it the problem is still there and I can’t drive on hills due to slow acceleration
    It’s been 2 years I’ve not found the solution yet
