I have a large collection. I collect anything. All scales. All makes. All brands. I even collect vintage Tonka Toys. I display them like, I keep the Porsche together. Camaros together. Military, Volkswagens, Corvettes, tractor trailers, tractors, Dukes of Hazzard, etc. I have at last count over 4000.
Thank you Sir for sharing your awesome collection and excellent ideas for my sons and I to start putting our collections into instead of packing them into Tupperware bins. Again, thank you.
I have found that building shelves that allows the cars to be displayed at a 3/4 front angle, increases the amount to make it my default build technique.
That's how I display some of mine... I have 8ft long shelves that are 1x4's. They cover the entire wall end to end. I like seeing the front end of the cars and I paint in details on all of them. 3/4 front angle is my fav way of parking/displaying them everywhere. Being able to park more cars is a plus but I just love parking them like that.
Hey HW. I missed this video….but Holy Wow! What a great collection. Love how you display them, fantastic cabinets and I know what you mean when you said you had to build some. Awesome my friend. 👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful upload & collection. Relative new to HW; over 40yrs collecting palmsize motorbikes fabricated between WW1 til now(3500+), started when couldn't find parts for my 1:1 prewar/classic cars&bikes. Display has been my target, as my den was my destress area, now its my private toy museum. The first floor has no vertical walls, all(2000+)HW are carded&suspended with unobtrusive wires. All bikes are in cabinets, prewar in victorian, modern in all glass, slowly turning. You are doing a nice job, are you constantly changing? I am a hoarder, never sold anything as I like buying but hate selling. Even our wedding car is in the 1:1 room, an air one of which you have an emblem hanging. Basicly my HW started with only P's, but they hard to get when you live rural and in a country not really a market for HW. Anyway enjoyed your upload! Tks
Thanks for your comment. The Orange Porsche? it’s a glass print. not sure what they call them, but picked it up a couple summers ago at a local art dealer.
So I’m sitting on over 2000 unopened cars trying to figure out how to display them. I’m thinking of putting up peg boards and just hanging them like a store display.
I almost did the same thing, but the more I looked at it, the more I worried it would look messy. I have almost 1500 cars on display, carded and opened, and still have about 3000 carded and opened cars in my storage room. It’s not an easy fix, that’s for sure. Good luck in what you do decide to do.
I stopped too. In Sweden they are 3$ and we are constantly 6 months behind. No headlights, no taillights, ugly rims, too many fantasy castings. I prefer Matchbox and Majorette for basic mainlines. Better details and less fantasy crap.
Nice collection, love the wild blue Gasser, one of my favorites. 👍✌😁
Thanks James, high praise, and I appreciate every word✌🏻

Hi Richard. You sound like me man... All scales, makes, models, military, police cars, etc. I don't discriminate!
Nice
Even more than the cars, I really like how it's all dispalyed.
Thanks

Good stuff ! I really like how you make your foamboard displays, I've seen it done other ways and made one but I prefer your style
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Epic👍👍❤️
It’s coming along, but it’s never done. There’s always room for another car
Where u get the glass cabinet
They came from IKEA.
Nice collection and set up. New subscriber. Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks collectorholic (great channel name) I appreciate the sub
Where did you get the carbon fiber case from ?
The first one from eBay, and the second from Etsy. Both come from the same dealer in California.
Where did you find the 50th anniversary favorite display case?
My daughter bought it for me from an Etsy vendor out of Texas. It’s really well made. Thanks for watching
Where did you buy the mirror backed loose car display?
From an Amazon vendor called JackCube Design.

Thanks for your comment. I enjoy your enthusiasm. As the collection grows, so does the way we display them.
Very nice New Subscriber for you 👍
Thanks and welcome
A great collection! Can I have a question, Where I can find the Flexi Glass Display to buy it?
Thanks a lot. The mirror backed display is from JackCubeDesign on Amazon. The HotWheels ones are from Hotwheelscollectors.com
I love the 1/8 scale cars!!!!! Where can you get those for cheap with good details?
These are 1/18 scale. I bought almost all of these 20 to 25 years ago. I haven’t really bought this scale for years.
@@HotWheeler whoops. But that’s awesome! Love your collection!
Nice collection! May i ask how do you deal with the dust that eventually settles on the cars that are exposed and not covered up in a cabinet?
Thanks, I have a medium size soft brush that I use, and I use a vacuum every now and again. keeping a clean filter in the furnace helps a lot.
MAMMA MIA THE CAVE OF ALLADIN
Stunning display, the poster with 356 Porsche is Super, where did you get it...? thank you for sharing all your gems...🤙🤙🤙
Thanks for your comment. The Orange Porsche? it’s a glass print. not sure what they call them, but picked it up a couple summers ago at a local art dealer.
So you’re showcasing your showcase?
Love it❗️thanks 👊🏻

@@HotWheeler 95% of my collection is still carded so I guess I have options…
My collection got destroyed
That’s a shame, but on the positive side, you get to start all over again
@HotWheeler hi yes hopefully next month i cant wait used to spend hours in that room

Haha, I’m going to need more money!
Earthquake?
Not sure what you mean? No earthquake here
