Kaido house is what hotwheels RLC should be. 30-40-50$ isnt worth the average RLC. Woo hoo, STH wheels on an unchanged chassis and different paint.. Kaido house and mini GT put hotwheels to shame in EVERY way.
Since the JDM themed HW card price especially Nissan whether mainline, silver series, premium series or RLC is getting ridiculous in Malaysia, it's far far better to buy Kaido House which is way more beautiful than HW premium or RLC. Now, I'm shifting my purchase towards Kaido House.
I think no one can beat hotwheels as a brand. For collector's who seek details of course there are better brands then hotwheels.. But hotwheels cars are available for all kinds of consumers.. Kids, collector's etc.
This. Hot Wheels has the broadest appeal and works in the most “environments.” Kaido House is diecast artwork. The cars and details are fantastic and have a different purpose.
Imo, Basic, Silver and Gold Label is where Hot Wheels excells. Same of Basic, Moving Parts and Collectors for Matchbox. Above those is where it falls apart in cost to value for both brands. This market is also where many of their competitors excel.
2024 is my 1st yr as an RLC member. It's also my 1st yr buying Kaido. The brands are considerably different in concept, imo. That said, I'll not be renewing my RLC membership due to a low value to cost ratio and serious quality control issues that are not being addressed. Conversely, I will be buying more Kaido (and Mini Gt, Tarmac Works, Pop Race, etc)

Awesome video can't wait to get the Kaido House Civic . What a killer casting specially the colors coming out down the road. As far as HW VS KH ? The issue with Mini GT/Kaido House is they just fall apart lol.. My Top Secret S15, Tommy Kaira R34, and Kaido House Greddy R33 fell apart despite chilling on my display for a few months while my loose RLCs still look perfect.

@9:07 I'll just straight up say it in a way John probably can't: I don't like the racing/Pro Street/Kaido GT stylings on the 510, Fairlady Z, and even the R34. However, I believe I do have them all (minus BLKLTDs and event exclusives), simply out of a "gotta catch em all" mentality as I have been collecting KHxMGT from the start. Looking back, I really wish they hadn't released so many 510's, as they seem to take up half of my KHxMGT collection, but I reckon they had to build the line up from somewhere (similarly, half my MGT collection is R35s). I like to think fan support is why we now have the NSX, the Civic, and the upcoming M3 (OMG!). Can't wait for what else Jun has in store. (Jun did the RWB930 at Hot Wheels, maybe with Glen's licensing expertise an RWB KHxMGT might be in the future??) The Silverado is the only exclusive/BLKTD I have. Rather costly, but GORGEOUS. I told myself no more limited pieces, but that green NSX has me green with envy.
At the end of the day, it’s hard to pay 25-30-40-50-60$ for a 1/64 scale stagnant piece of metal. I get much more joy out of building / modding / driving RC vehicles than I do looking at my piles of stacked hot wheels.
Wow ! I did a video with the same question yesterday . Not with you knowledge of course cause I'm new to collecting . But kaido house is fire 🔥 . But hotwheels is a pedigree. Just my simple opinion .
Funny you made this video now. I was just thinking of making the switch away from HW to the higher grade cars. I collect the 240z and was checking the Kaidos prior to today.
MiniGT/Kaido House has really been grabbing my attention lately, and conversely, I am now going to be focusing more attention on getting less Hotwheels and saving money up for the more premium stuff from both Mini GT and Kaido House.
@@bearabletable7527 Yes. I think they're licensed too, but there's no indication on the boxes other than those for Toyotas. At the same time, they don't bother to shy away from public eyes, like having a website and social media pages, unlike Time Micro, TPC, etc.

There's collector's editions and theirs Those that sell in department stores And collector's customized them themselves. Everyone has their flavor of collecting what they love No matter what the brand but Hot Wheels has been here And going nowhere

Hmmmmm. I want to start collecting other brands but the storage space is always in the back of my head , but over all they are amazing I'll think about it. Because giving up hotwheels he'll no specially since hotwheels is releasing alot of new bad ass Japanese castings
For me i choose hot wheels and mini gt but not mini gt x kaido house. For me because the kaido house all the rim and tyre look the same, and the wide body kit really looks ridiculous to me. The only kaido I'm into is datsun 510, datsun wagon and this honda civic EF! The rest I'm not really into that design. And the kaido chase car looks nothing special to me. I'm sorry to say but this is my opinion.
I like Kaido House for the detail. But do they go beyond JDM? JDM here, JDM there, JDM in your underwear! LOL 😆 Now I like JDM to a point, I played Gran Turismo games to death, and they remind me of the cars I would see in those games. But my primary interest is American cars. Muscle cars/muscle car era cars, and drag racing cars of all types. Let's see Kaido House do that. Then I might be in the Poor House!
I got some Dtsuns for $12.50 the only ones that skyrocket prices are the r34 went from $20 to $60-$80 but not all the police car i paid $15 KAIDO is cool for core collectors HW is still for normie boomer collector who like the same model repainted, also a lot of hotwheels even basics are badly expensive the r34 orange f&f deco is 25, r33 nismo premium is 20 and the eclipse is 35 in my country like wtf RLC are 40 to 60 so for me other brands are better for the price qualitty, i know this videos are pro hotwheels but come on guys improve your product

(Jun did the RWB930 at Hot Wheels, maybe with Glen's licensing expertise an RWB KHxMGT might be in the future??)
The Silverado is the only exclusive/BLKTD I have. Rather costly, but GORGEOUS. I told myself no more limited pieces, but that green NSX has me green with envy.
Yes RWB x Kaido House would be dream come true. I asked Jun several times on live streams but he seems not to answer to it
John, I’m kind of shocked you actually didn’t use the Hotwheels Kaido House Livery Custom Datsun 240 for that comparison.
Kaido FTW ! i just pulled a Chase Nismo R34 😊❤
Funny you made this video now. I was just thinking of making the switch away from HW to the higher grade cars. I collect the 240z and was checking the Kaidos prior to today.
You ought to take a peek at Aoshima's Grachan 240s, might be of interest to you.
@@possibly8180 They seem to vary in quality. The factory looking ones seem better than custom looking ones. Kaidos seem better for the money.
Kaido House for me
I'm excited for that BMW coming out too tho
Mini GT and KH are worlds better than hot wheels and you don't have to fight f scalpers to get them 😅😅😅
👏😁👏😁
mini gt not so much but kaido house for sure
wierdly enough i love theat there's seats in the back of the civic with the roll cage show's that it's been modified from a stock one
MiniGT/Kaido House has really been grabbing my attention lately, and conversely, I am now going to be focusing more attention on getting less Hotwheels and saving money up for the more premium stuff from both Mini GT and Kaido House.
Check out Tarmac Works (the GLOBAL64 lineup is the equivalent of Mini GT), Pop Race and CM Model too.
@@yongling9825 POP RACE IS EXCELLENT and is competing with MINI GT but with Opening parts! Competition is GOOD
@@bearabletable7527 Yes. I think they're licensed too, but there's no indication on the boxes other than those for Toyotas. At the same time, they don't bother to shy away from public eyes, like having a website and social media pages, unlike Time Micro, TPC, etc.
Hot wheel brain is massive and caters to all types of collectors and fans of the brand. Some Hot Wheels or more detail than others depending on What type of Hot Wheels you want to collect? There's collector's editions and theirs Those that sell in department stores And collector's customized them themselves. Everyone has their flavor of collecting what they love No matter what the brand but Hot Wheels has been here And going nowhere
I love your videos but I don't think you can compare dollar Hot Wheels to $20+ Kaido House.
Unless you mention dollar mainlines need wheel swapping, you should only compare premium vs Kaido.
But still thanks for your vids!
Kaido house blows away any Hotwheels crap
Got my preorder for the civic can't wait to get it
Hot wheels are bought by kids. Kaido house are bought by fans.
I love Hot Wheels 300+ car collection. I don't own any Kaido House. Although I would like to start buying some. The details on Kiado House looks way better then Hot Wheels imo.
Do it man they're awesome. Metal on metal with alloy wheels and good finish to them
Hmmmmm. I want to start collecting other brands but the storage space is always in the back of my head , but over all they are amazing I'll think about it. Because giving up hotwheels he'll no specially since hotwheels is releasing alot of new bad ass Japanese castings
KH for the money is better , cheaper & 100% a better buy to an equivalent RLC or STH model.....PERIOD
Wheel reuse practically applies to Hot Wheels as well.
Of course HW can be better and more details but they would like to keep it at $1 price 😅😅
