    If there's still water coming out of the faucet spout when you press the trigger on the sink sprayer then this video will show you the part you need to replace. Your faucet may be different but it will have a similar part that operates the same way.

    Thanks for the video, I'd forgotten where the diverter is on these. Nowadays it seems everyone has a pull down system... To help out the next guy (ask not who the next guy is, he may be you) I always use key grease on all the threads and o-rings while I have it open.

    I wish the diverter on ours faced forward like that. We have Cornerstone faucets by Cleveland Faucet Group and they all face backwards towards the backsplash on the counter. I normally have to use the tip sticking out on a 5-in-1 tool to pop them free. I also occasionally use my iPhone camera in selfie mode like a mirror, sitting behind the faucet, to see what I’m doing as I work.

    • @ApartmentMaintenance

      I had the CFG faucets at my old property. They were made by moen. My rep brought me a faucet repair kit which was a little black tool box that had every part for their faucets with faucet tools & silicone grease. I believe the repair kit has a part # on the box cuz it was something they would sell. I still have the kit in my garage. Thanks for watching Duane 👍

    Awesome! That’s exactly how my sink and sprayer look! Not only does water come out of the faucet when using the sprayer, but it’s almost full force.
    No wonder my sprayer is weak.
    I might just fix this myself! Is that the worst kind of tenant or the best kind?
    A new diverter won’t effect the dishwasher will it?
    Maybe they made it operate like this on purpose for a dishwasher issue..
    Great tutorial, I’ll subscribe for sure!

    Just stumbled on your channel and binge watched a few. Nice stuff. Very few things make we wince, but at 1:15? I've sliced my thumbnail down past the white part (Lunula) almost to the first knuckle using a box cutter, enough for 12 stitches.

    Thank you I have the same issue. Also my faucet leaks between the sink and the base of the faucet? Any suggestions?

    • @ApartmentMaintenance
      @ApartmentMaintenance  7 месяцев назад

      It also needs a seal kit. While it's apart to replace the diverter it's a perfect time to replace the o-rings & seals which will prevent it from leaking at the base & dripping while it's off. So it will be completely rebuilt for a couple bucks. Thanks for watching Sidney & subscribe to the channel 👍

    Excellent video. I was able to follow everything and replace the diver in about 20 minutes.
    However, when I turned the water back on, a little water leaked under the cap. I've tightened it a little, and the leak is smaller, but I'm reluctant to tighten it too much.
    Any suggestions?

    • @ApartmentMaintenance

      I'm not sure what the model number is, but try searching "delta single handle faucet" & scroll through the options until you find the one that looks like yours cuz the single handle faucet parts are all the same whether it's a repair kit with new seats, springs, o-rings, ball, or the diverter, they all use the same parts. Get the rebuild kit for the faucet. It will come with new seats & springs, 2 sets of o-rings, an allen key to remove the set screw on the handle & a square looking tool to tighten or loosen the plastic ring on the brass cap.

    The sprayer on my faucet is stuck on. I removed the sprayer from the hose, turned the water on, and water came out of the hose instead of the faucet spout. Does that mean the diverter is defective?

    • @ApartmentMaintenance
      @ApartmentMaintenance  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yep, it means it's stuck in the position that it would be in as if you are using the sprayer. The possibility of some debris just being stuck in the diverter is highly likely since they don't normally get stuck in that position. Typical apartment maintenance... don't wipe any of the parts off to clean them up... just slap it all back together with no silicone grease/lube on the o-rings or ball and seats, etc. No wonder apartments are like they are. :(
