Thanks for putting this out! I got my AWS SAA certification in September 2022 and was immediately able to get a role within 2 months. But sadly that did not last long, the client that I was working for laid us all off within 5 months citing the reason as 'restructuring of resources'. So here I am again, starting everything from scratch. But Thanks for putting such content out, it helps me in keeping up the positivity and getting back up. It was great listening to other people's stories. Wishing everyone good luck!
Thanks so much for sharing your story! Best of luck on your journey, keep putting in the hard work, I'm sure it will pay off (again!) sometime soon! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. 🙏
Your content is very unique I gotta say. I am in the middle of transferring from retail to cloud. Still got some hands on labs I want to do before I try to start applying

38:45 can you make a full video regarding this subject here. So after you applied for a job for lets say cloud engineer etc on linkedin, then you go to the company page > employee section (all on linkedin/+ any other possible ways) and message 2-5 employees with the job title you applied for. And what is a good copy and paste message you can possibly send to start of the conversation with plus to also see who responds back. Shittt maybe you can also try messaging the hiring manager too. This would be awesome if you can do a step by step video like once a week. I wouldn't mind being part of it soon, as the guinea pig of attempt to transfer from retail to Cloud.
They talked about joining discords and forums. Does anyone know any good ones for cloud enthusiasts and people trying to break into the industry? I’ll appreciate the recommendations 🙏🏾
Just some that I know of: cloudresumechallenge.dev/ learntocloud.guide/ techstudyslack.com/ linktr.ee/cloudstudynet awsnewbies.com/cloud-newbies-society/ You can then ask in those, also and I'm sure they'l let you know of others, I'm sure! There are also quite a few regional ones, especially for AWS user groups, try googling "AWS user group [your location]"
Thank you so much Lou and other folks.
This could very well be a case study template for the way this video was meticulously thought out! I love it! 🙌🏾

Very informative as a new person looking to get into cloud environments
Stephen is absolutely right, I used to use just one generic resume. That one 🤔 thing.
For sure ! You've gotta fish with the right bait ! Either you'll get no bites, or the wrong type of fish !
