The Laughing Place drop never fails to drench the front seat rider.
Yesterday I went front seat and I LITERALLY GOT SOAKED HEAD TO TOE. LEGIT A WHOLE WAVE LIKE WASHED OVER ME HHHHH
Matt Carr agreed
That's why I make it a priority to sit in the far back as possible.
I did it at night. regret sitting front seat.
@@Kenziepiper it sucks because Splash Mountain is so fun at night but the absolute worst time ro ride it.
Is any one else binging these vids because they are going to Disney this year ... cos I am
Yes lol. I did this last year when I went to Disneyland.
my next trip isn’t until may and i’m going through such bad disneyland withdraws right
now i’m watching everything! 😂
Yes! I’m going in a few weeks. I’ve watched so many videos. The more I watch, the more excited I get. Can’t wait!
Keeleigh B yes this is what I did before my trip last week lol. Now I’m doing it to remind myself how much I miss it and how I need to make sure to go back this year lol
Matthew Higinbotham yes I am so excited for my trip to Disney but I have to wait till September

Missing Disneyland so much rn! We went 4 days last week and I went on this a total of 13 times. It was cold but worth it!!
I only like to ride splash mountain at night, like if you're with me.
👍
Hell yea, you can ride it infinitely because it's so empty
Better at night but I always like it
I prefer sunset, that's a great time to ride, with the orangy sky.
Finn Flix stop, you making me want to go rn, I’m having flashbacks
I love Disney. Splash mountain, the hunted mansion, pirates, and space mountain are my favorite rides!
My favorite Disney ride ever!!! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will never come close as this
I think this was one of the last perfect POVs taken of this ride before everything went down hill. Everything was perfect. I had just gone to Disneyland a few months before this video dropped. I was livin' a mighty satis factual life. Splash was one of my favorite rides. I loved and cherished it. Life was amazing at this time! I was happy and just enjoyed every moment of life. But just when I thought everything was perfect and nothing could go wrong, Covid swept the world! Closed Disneyland down and gave me stress of being trapped in home. Made my own happy home feel like prison. And on top of that, Disney announced they would be retheming my all time favorite attraction! Yes it did stick around for a little while after Covid and I did get the chance to experience it just a few more times before Disney made it bs. We are now almost Three years out of lockdown and nothing is the same. Not just Splash becoming nothing but a memory, but it changed my love for Disneyland. I still love Disneyland to death! I practically worship Mickey Mouse and Brer Rabbit! 😂😂 Jk. But it changed my love for Disneyland. I loved it to death! But since after Covid with the company literally ruining it, Disney trips have never been the same. They basically ruined the park! Not just Splash, but Toontown, Pacific Wharf, and Winnie the Pooh and Critter Country are probably next on the list to get messed up. It is not just lands and rides though. Genie plus made everything bad too! They dropped out perfect Fast Pass for a piece of crap! And I'm not gonna mention price increase. But Disneyland used to be perfect! But the company has just been practically destroying it these past couple of years. It all started with the plan's of the Splash retheme. This whole mess was made in just 4 years. Disneyland is in the worst condition it's ever been in. And it's only going to get worse. Everything used to be perfect, but then life just took a Splashdown! 😂😂 let this message be a lesson for you guys. Enjoy the present and make the most memories out of it before it becomes a memory. I sure hope one day we will get Justice and Disney will actually start paying attention to what we want and not just what they want
YES!!! THE BEST RIDE OF ALL TIME!
ghost rider is the best
Yes Splash Mountain is my all time favorite I still have the movie. I also have some of the exclusive stuff of the ride
@E.T. Studios743 I have seen Song of the South over 30 times! It is my favorite movie!
@E.T. Studios743 well ghost rider is more for the airtime than themeing
Man I miss Disney I went there last year for Spring break for all the people going this year it really is the happiest place on earth. I hope you have a lot of fun but you are gonna miss it a lot when you get home.
Disney depression is kicking in oh no
Broken animatronics or not, the ride is still fun! I love your videos LMG Vids! One question though, with how often you are at the parks do you ever get bored?
Unfortunately it is now closed for a dumb retheming into Princess and the Frog 😢
I remember riding this ride for the first time when I was 3 years old it will forever be in my memory
Good thing I rode that in September of 2019 on Monday Night after I landed from Airport.
I love it at night, feels like a different ride.
Keep this ride the way it is. Do not ever change it.
I'm shivering just watching this
I was there when he made this video
Sick
I got to go twice to Disneyland last year with my spouse and I’m not even a local anymore (from SoCal but live in Idaho now). Took a LOT of planning and hands down the best year ever!
What happened to the geese scenes audio?
Alex Dionisos probably cut it out in case of being copyrighted but I don’t know why the rest wasn’t cut out tho
@@Little_Dumpy : the video is amazing i watch in 2021
The one thing I’m always gonna remember about this ride when we were on it is when my sister yelled “THESE ANIMATRONICS ARE SCARY!” And I died of laughter.
@2:25 kinda looks like the backdrop of the Barbossa v Spanish soldiers scene in the POC ride.
The sky at Disneyland is so beautiful at night 🌌😍
yeh, i was thinking how great that looked when i was watching, but yes that is awesome how it does look from there!
The lighting looks a hell of a lot better than it usually does. I still feel like the ride needs a good year long refurbishment to bring it up to snuff.
That might be the camera.

I miss the strobe effect that used to be behind the vultures right before the final lift. I'll always cherish my memories of riding this with my Dad on our DLand trips. Thanks for posting.
Who else wants to join me in line, when the re theme happens, and chant zip-a-dee-do-dah with me.
Please sign the petition on change. Org to save splash mountain. We have over 83,000 signatures! Thanks
I’ll do that with you if come with me on pirates of the Caribbean and when we get to the auction part have to chant “we wants da Redhead!”
I've determined that if I ride this after the retheme, I will be singing the How Do You Do song while in line at the very least, and see if others will join in like a flash mob.
I remember when the vulture said how come you arent laughing my whole group started laughing and insulting it
Actually, I've noticed over the past year that a lot of the animatronics go down during the night time, when it gets cold and the lines die down. I'm assuming they do it on purpose to save power. Because during the day they work fine.
This has happened without fail for the past year.
it’s rare for all animatronics on the ride to be working at the same time so i doubt its only at night but who knows
Hopefully I can see most of them working cause I’m doing that as my last ride so I’m not waking around the park all day drenched
Yeah, there is a lot of "broken" things but when you see an animatronic either missing or stuck, that means that they are working on it to fix it or it's going to be fixed.
Or it broke, and they don't have the budget to fix it currently (likely because of SW:GE), so they just took it off-show completely, especially since so many of DL's Splash AAs are re-used from America Sings (and so, pretty old in the first place.)
@@chicagocarless Zip-loc is helping them though because of the sponsor
6:42: "So many broken things!" I haven't ridden DL's Splash since 2014, and this was already a constant problem back then. SIX years ago. Meanwhile, every time I ride WDW's version, all the AAs are fully or nearly fully operational. Why can't they ever get DL's AA's to work? Or even (as you can see in this video) not working but at least, you know, there and not completely absent, making a scene look ridiculous? DL's is the original. It deserves the attention.
You make a good point. But Disneyland's Splash has literally 3 times the amount of animatronics than the one at Walt Disney World, and the Disneyland Animatronics are 18 years older than the ones at WDW.
When an animatronic isn't there, it's being fixed
Excellent video! Splash Mountain is fantastic, my favorite ride at DL, but I love it even more at night! I usually make it my last ride of the night just before park closing, sometimes twice in a row 😄
12 times in a row is my personal best XD I might need help
I have never seen such a short (as in non existent) line for Splash. It must have been cold that night.
oh how i remember and miss the days of me youth where i would walk around the park with amazement, wonder and inspiration aaahh now crap i'm getting all teary eyed thinking about it (i'm 21 at the time of posting)
This ride never fails to make me smile. Favorite ride in the park (haven’t ridden rise of the resistance yet tho). But from this POV, so many of the animatronics don’t seem to even be working and I feel like Disney should def fix them
Nothing better than spash at night when the fireworks are on
10:15 - perhaps no better log ride on earth than that one right there. ( : Thanks.
I'm hoping once haunted Mansion gets its refurb done, they will come over here and bring this ride into the century visually/mechanically. This and Indiana Jones both desperately need big time face lifts.
just curious, what do you think they should change?
Iris Vargas well, I heard people say the animatronic movements need updating.
@@irisv6786 I definitely think all the animatronics need face lifts. Like Brer Rabbit at the end looks like a child's teddy bear that has been around for years. The just look and move like antiques. A little fine tuning and it could really change the ride.
So I went on this in real life SO EPICCC
I got a better one! Is any one binging due to shelter in place from Covid -19, but was planning to go to Disney World this summer! And still find it entertaining! I’m still a dreamer 💫
That dog has been broken for Like a year and a half now at 6:27
Noah Monteiro huh it was working completely fine when we went in August.

I want them to add lap bars. LIKE BABY JESUS, PLEASE.
No that would take away the fun!
Lap bars are not necessary on a flume ride since your'e not being thrown out of your seats you don't need any restraints and installing lap bars wouldn't work on the single file seating arrangements on the logs.
Jack Hammer cool, nice.
One of these visits, I’ll ride this at night, as this vid makes the ride look a bit more interesting. Normally I ride this during the day to help cool off when it gets hot in the summertime.
Did anyone else hear that lady yelling in the background right when their log was about to move? Lol😂😂
Wdw splash mountain is miles better for soooo many reasons....
Why's that? I heard something about it having 5 drops instead of 3 but I'm not sure if that's accurate.
@@Carr80 It is, and it has better animatronics, and a better ride itself. This version moves too fast to understand the story, and everything seems out of place. But that's because this version was built in a rush because this version uses reused animatronics, but the wdw versions story's flows better because animatronics aren't just put any where. Oh and wdw version has more scenes....
@@djmiles5998 I hope to ride it one day. I love the DL version but I have nothing to compare it to.
DJ Miles exactly
E.T. Studios743 wdw has better moving animatronics and are almost never broken. While Disneyland’s animatronics are a mess. If people have not seen the movie song of the south (which splash mountain is based off) Disneyland explains the story in a rush and is hard to understand. Disney world’s version is also longer and goes much slower through the dark ride portions.
how weird that we will never experience this ride again.
if u live in california and get tickets on the 15th it opens the 30th and splash mountain will still be open!! i’ve never riden this ride before bc ive always been so afraid of the drop but im definitely getting tickets so i can expirence this
Last few times I went on this ride, i nearly drowned during the laughing place drops because of how much water was going up my nose
Oh my gosh a good majority of the animatronics are all broken. 0.o
I didn't see any broken in the video I don't know what everyone us talking about
Your low light footage always looks so good! What camera did you use?
Something is missing from the opening portion. Just music on this version. Then, the interior part of the ride is way too fast to follow the story narrative.
DL's original version has always been fast through the interior, with less apparent narrative. It's not a mistake. They just altered those elements for WDW's and later versions. The music is also scored differently (DL's uses a New Orleans jazz band while WDW uses a Frontierland-inspired banjo score.)
One time at night the of us in my family were the only ones in line and so they kept letting us go through a restricted area to get back in line
I saved another copy of a video from when you shot this ride, but I am going to have to save this one too because I just loved some of the reactions that you gave during the ride. It was just like having dad with me along with me again🤣

let's save this ride guys it doesn't deserve the retheme

Waite a min if this video was made in 2020 was this made before the virus great video by the way good job wow no one in line love walk on’s what day did you go?
Dear Disney,
Please refurb your animatronics :(
Alec Parker I vaguely remember seeing Brer Rabbit at the end of the ride being fixed. At the Zip a Dee doo Dah part.
He had a derpy eye for a good year and a half, last time I went in may of last year it was fixed. I didn’t see many broken animatronics elsewise.
Its weird that a bunch of animatronics are broken now.
its better broken and creepy
They do. That's why a few are missing.
@@Claytona500 Was there last week. The brown bird on the steamboat wasn't moving. And we got stuck at 5:18. Otherwise this is one of my top 5 favorites.
Disney does a pretty good job of refurbishing, and updating their rides. There may be times where things aren’t 100%, but they rarely let things go long like that, or deteriorate like other parks. There’s a great documentary on Disney and how they constantly improve/update (or as Disney calls it “plus-ing”) their rides on the Disney + channel.
Wow what a beautiful rid.i love it's theme so magical it takes you to another land 🇵🇰🇵🇰🍇🍇
Cast member: rows 2, 3, and 4
**sits in the front**
They mean which “dock” to go to I believe
So relaxing!
Still thinking why they don’t have any seat protection other than that black thing you can hold on to
I got soaked tonight and I sat in the front
What are you fliming with.Very good low light
THATS A SCARIEST DROP THEN I EVER SEEN.
I got a panic attack going through this queue at night, it was like 10pm but there was barely anyone in this part of the park. Then when I got to the actual ride itself there was only two people operating it and there was absolutely no on the ride boats before us or after us. Super weird feeling.
0:09 Looks like you got a fan!
I’m here because I don’t live in California, and I’ll never get to see this before the Tiana Retheme. Still a good thing though. I heard aren’t changing the track.
did anyone else notice that the Br'er rabbit animatronic is COMPLETELY missing at 6:37?
Yeah, every time I’ve ridden there is at least one missing. Most of these characters are 47 years old now. They break a lot.
when are they going to fix that fox?
I can easily tell this was recorded during Christmas time
What do you record with?
My favorite parts were the 3 times this video was interrupted by commercials. Go RUclips! (insert eyeroll)
aha i remember i rode this with my friend when i was in 5th grade. She told me the drop wasnt bad and she lied. Ive been to disneyland 8 times this year with my family and they never want to ride on this ride lmao. But, we're still gonna ride it in the summer. Kinda scareddd. The drop of this ride is soo badddd
Water current is so fast you cant even enjoy the animatronics or scenery of the ride.
5:57 Funny that you get soaked at this one, at WDW’s version, I didn’t get as much wet at the laughing place drop.
I got on at night and the little animals creeped me out-
Watching this and seeing how empty the boat scene and how some of the animals on it didn’t even move really made me want to see a refurb. Like they should take a good year and a half to update all the animatronics one the ride instead of just working with these old ones.
tryna feel sumn. been in quarantine too damn long
Anyone else ride at 11:45 pm? Just me? Ok then
Does anyone know how big is the drop? Pls. We are going to Disneyland this coming May and looking to see which ride we can do.
Who is here after Disney announced the removal of Splash Mountain.
Jake Rice they aren’t removing it
Just re-theming it. The ride and thrill will be the same
@@AvionJordan That's what I meant.

進む速度めっちゃはやくない??w日本がゆっくりなの?
7:46 what happened right there?😱
The lift hills act like safety stop zones. If the log ahead hasn't gained enough distance from the bottom of the drop, then the log at the top will halt until it has.
Alex the Historian that log didn’t stop. What are you talking about
@@joerepoman1 it stopped. It teetered at the top, but it's forward motion was stopped.
Alex the Historian ok troll. 😂😂
@@joerepoman1 lol
wouldnt it be great to actually see the movie that song is from?
They wont release it bc supposedly its racist
It’s from the song of the south I believe. It’s not really been released cuz it involves a plantation worker telling stories and the depiction is pretty stereotyped
Yes it’s banned they’re never gonna release 😂
delcodave I’ve seen it, pretty boring movie
You can download it from archive.org.
Wow. Could there be more broken animatronics? Standards have noticeably slipped.
I was there a week ago and all of them were working great.(except brer rabbit in the honey,) I think animatronics can only handle being active for a while.
@@RakoonCD Definitely. It's just that they used to get them repaired faster. Last three visits spanning 2 years I saw animatronics down every time. On multiple rides.
Imagine at 5:15 trying to turn ur head trying to see what's on the right.... and just look away from the screen.
I latterly just did this 5 mins ago and I was in the front seat, but I got way more drenched than that, I’m so cunfused
The level of wet you get depends on how upset the water at the bottom is, if several boats were bunched up and went right before you, the water will be choppy and if you hit it right (or wrong depending on how you look at it) you can get very very wet
