The drop in the dark feels so high but looks so short!

I went when I was six I sat in front it was fun but scary it was my choice to go on it I had lots fun but scary my dad held on to me like very hard when I went and I got super soaked but I got a stuffed animal from going on it
These night vision videos are pretty cool! Thanks for taking the time to make them. It was cool seeing what is actually there in the dark part of the ride - especially that drop that takes place in the dark.
Many kudos to Tony Baxter. Not one inch of this ride exposed non-theming even under the scrutiny of night-vision taping. Excellent job Tony. Sad to see it all being changed.

yes, my first time too got me pretty good lol. for some strange reason I think that little drop is the best part of the ride. Perhaps because its unique for flume rides
I absolutely love this ride so much and miss Disneyland sooooooo much. Im glad you did night vision cuz now we get to see what the drop in the dark looks like when the bunny is laughing at you! I thought it felt like you when over too bump type things and now i was right! I went on this ride 3 times in the 4 days we had in the parks and all times I sat in the 4th seat. Maybe when me and my family go again in 2016, i can try the front haha

It seems like the Disneyland version is more intense than the WDW one :O

Yeah it is but the splash mountain at magic kingdom is better
The one at Disneyland is more intense, and the drop is bigger, while WDWs version is much more detailed and longer
Nintendo Gaming Master they both have the same drop height. 52 feet.
i think the other drops are bigger but the main drop is the same
I just LOVE this ride! :) Same vision as in the vid of the Disneyland Haunted Mansion!! I have to watch the Pirates one-and it's in my results!

The drop in the dark scared me the first few times because it’s pitch black, and, prior to that, the boat kept going down small rapids but didn’t drop. I was expecting another one of these but it actually dropped.

The 2nd drop when I was riding really got me since I didn’t expected since it was so dark

Being that this vid was posted in 2013 I'm guessing it's not. But I'm unsure of when the drop was added or if it has always been there
The darkness makes it hard to remember all of the drops for me. I am glad we get to see what they look like
It was my favorite drop when I was a kid feeling that always made me scream with excitement.

It’s interesting how the night vision picks up the work lighting in some areas, so it’s almost like riding the ride with the work lights on

well yes, my bf encouraged me to go on it and it wasn't as bad as i expected it to be, i just didn't like how we get soaked

Every time I go on Splash Mountain, my shoes get so wet, they’re basically a sponge, they soak up all the wetness and they stay like that for at least 5 hours💧💧
Some of the rides at the Original Disneyland Park are under construction, instead, my family would like to go on either Saturday, July 12 or Sunday, July 20, 2014.

can i tell you all a story
So i was in Florida with my Family and i saw splash mountain and i was so damn excited then i got on the ride. the ride went and it got to 4:31 in normal vision it was dark i did not know what was happening then when i went down and back up i was screaming my head off and now i know the reality of what really happened and Oh my god. Also im going to Florida again this year and my Family is forcing me to go back on it and im like NOPE!
Floridas is still better since it’s a 2 seater and has a lap bar, unlike Disneylands which basically only has you grab onto the side bars

I wish someone would tell me if that last big drop really all that, then I just might get on it after all. Rollercoasters I can ride all day, even if the drops are over 200 feet down it doesn't bother me. But at splash mountain, drop only 50 foot down you would think that's nothing compared to Rollercoasters.
I mean it’s 50 ft with no seat belts, you see a beautiful sight of the park it’s a thrill honestly

HEY, CAN I TELL A STORY: D OKAY HAH HAH, SO ON THAT DROP AT 4: 34, I LEANED FOWARD AND HIT MY HEAD ON MY DAD S SEAT.
Was that last drop that big of a deal. Cause I can ride any Rollercoasters with over a 200 feet drop down and doesn't bother me what's so ever. And this ride is just about a 50 foot drop. If Rollercoasters don't get to me, I wonder if this ride with the last huge drop will.
The animals are just a cover up for the splashing and stomach hurting drops
