This was something I did for myself - a challenge, like I stated at the very beginning of the video. I just happened to record it. I don't expect other people to do follow suit with their own $25 gaming PCs. Rather, I hope this encourages you guys to start making the most of your money (and perhaps engross yourself in the beauty of the PC world a little bit more). Yes, the power supply was pretty lucky, but companies throw out 10 year old PCs all the time. It's not uncommon to pick one up for $10, $5, or even for free. So, yes, I got lucky to a certain extent. I suppose you can say it's unfair that I didn't 'pay' for all the parts, but it's not like they were handed to me. Hours of research and time went into this video and I did not have any of these parts when I first started. Regardless, all the parts I got for 'free' (w/ maybe the exception of the power supply which was uber lucky) are very plausible for giving away. I won't call free parts on a GTX 1070. That's just absurd To end this comment, I will be video taping future super budget build videos (or atleast completely video tape one) to display my process when buying parts. Following that logic, I made a 3$ gaming pc, I got an old pc on craigslist for free with 2 gtx 1080s, an intel core i7 6900k 64g of ram a tera bite ssd and 6gb of hdd. I had to buy the power cable though. That was an ok deal i guess.
Can you really say it was a $25 PC? Using your logic: If I got most of my parts for free and bought a $1 hard drive I can conclude and say it was a $1 PC.
It's not too complicated, nvm it'll take weeks for you to understand these Computer terms. But you can always keep watching videos like this to kinda understand them.
Does this help? Graphics Card: -Integrated = Burn it with fire. Nvidia 300-700 = Decent. -Nvidia700-800 = Good enough. -Nvidia900+ = Very good. Ram: 2-4GB = Scraping the barrel. 6-8GB = Decent/good. 16GB+ = Amazing. CPU: Harder to tell, but Nvidia i5 or i7 is generally good. Motherboard: Make sure it's good enough for everything to hook up to. Monitor: Get at least 60hz. Power Supply: Enough to run the PC, generally 600+ needed for gaming PCs.

The 560 TI even refurbished/used is still usually $60 at least, and the fact that you got almost everything else FREE kinda devalues the '$25 PC' claim. You got lucky. Anyone else would be hard pressed to make this for even $100

iroslayer -_- Becacuse I needed it to travel, and I got Lied to, I strictly ordered the same model with a 960 gt but they fucked up and sent me the model with intel hd, by the time it arrived, it was too late to return it.
I know this is an older video but it's still a great one, if you shop for SFF or older Commercial hardware (Dell Precision rather than Dell Inspiron or Alienware Aurora) you can find some incredibly cheap but incredibly powerful stuff just sitting around.

Download Splinter Cell Double Agent on your laptop, if it's the same as mine you should be able to run on Next gen graphics settings.
Also about Minecraft it's coded in Java, which is jack shit to make a game with, that's another reason for your fps.
