Admit it, we all came here for Jason’s energy. Update: It’s two years later and I had this live version in my gym playlist the entire time. I get instantly pumped anytime Jason’s, “Die! Motherfucker! Die!” comes up. Ended up losing just over 130 pounds. Proof that this song gives energy. 💪🏽
Agreed cliff is my biggest inspiration as a bassist and jason newsted is my biggest inspiration on how to put on a memorable show. I like to think that cliff was the brain and heart of metallica and jason is the soul.
man, that Jason's chorus is sorely missed. Jason's backing vocals + Robert's versatility + Cliff's songwriting talents would be the greatest bass playaer in metal, EVER, next to Steve Harris,
James & Jason's vocals just fucking DESTROY the crowd here. Jason singing part is awesome. I think Cliff and rob are very awesome bassist,of course I love them, but Jason is the best metallica’s bassist as a thrash metal.Jason is a very great thrash metal bassist.

Jason will always be my favorite Metallica member. I like to think that even if he wasn’t in the band, he would have still been there in the front row head banging with all those fans. He genuinely seemed like he loved the music he played.
I remember being a kid and absolutely loving Jasons vocals on this song. 20+ years later, i still get goosebumps listening to him sing it, he fkn killed it
jason newsted was the best in metallica in my opinion maybe not anyone elses i like his style of bass playing he uses a pick that gives a more solid tone and his voice more backing vocals in some songs like harvester of sorrow live in moscow 1991 i think he is better than rob trujillo in my opinion although cliff burton is my favorite bass player but jason was the better replacement for cliff burton
Dakotah Red I was listening to that everyday untill I found this :D Im watching creeping death for jason and this one is far better :D with better quality of course
+Eduardo Dantas Actually, Jason is a fuckin' machine! I like Robert since Suicidal, but I miss the presence of Jason with them. On the other hand, Metallica can be proud of having three amazing bass players in its history!

I deeply miss Jason MF Satans father in the line up. I hate that he is not in Metallica anymore... I can bet James got sick again because of it... fokin broath the fokin dancer on bass in biggest metal bend ever... stoopid fok!
I was at the second San Diego show. Best concert ever! They were at the top of their game then. No alcohol was being sold because the venue was afraid things would get out of control and you couldn't leave to parking lot party and come back in (thus I was stone sober - turned out to be a good thing since I remember it to this day). Only thing that sucks is the editing for the San Diego show videos. There are so many quick cuts, you feel like you are going to have a seizure. I wish they had just left it normal so you could feel like you are there and not blinking your eyes 100 times a minute. Either way, nice to have a reminder of the good old days. Metallica fan for life.
Do you remember that party in honor of Lemmy when he celebrated fifty years of age? So, I think Jason could be in charge of all vocals, because, in my opinion, James voice is "clean" to sing Motorhead songs. And I miss Jason with them, although I also like Robert. In fact, I think Robert is awesome since Suicidal Tendencies.
It has been 20 years since I first had the pleasure of listening to this monster. And still- this guitar sound at 0:31 with James strumming the main riff... it still is my wet dream of a guitar sound.

Jason really was invaluable to this band incredible musician.
La furia que le mete Jason Newsted es la que extraño en Metallica, un grande Jason!
Esa furia/ira con que toda la banda tocaba es la chispa que le falta ahora... Y Jason, ponía más que todo de su parte!...
