I Always used an esp32 without any level shifter to control my led Stripes. It always did work just fine, only the esp shouldnt have an long cable run to the first led. 50cm for me did work fine , more can be lead dto some Problems if using an resistor on the datapin. I use 150Ohms to protect the pin and also i use an old ir reciver to concol it via the common rgb remotes.

Happily nerds like us like to stay inside. So it‘s no problem the door is blocked by the desk.

🤣 If you're a short nerd then just raise the desk and you're still good. 👍🏼😁

Nice! Mind me asking which hex storage system you used, I think there’s a few now but not sure which is best, also love the instructions always clear and no steps skipped (hate that!) thanks

Thanks. Sure, I used this one: www.printables.com/model/152592-honeycomb-storage-wall
I agree, I started the channel after I tried to follow another makers project and realised how much they didn't bother to include in the video - skipping parts which were needed to succeed.

@@DIYMachines your doing really well, 96k subs on only 43 vids that's phenomenal you must be doing something right (if anyone suggests changes - don't!) - keep it up!

Can the standing desk get a little lower for sitting at a normal level? It seems like its pretty high, more for a stool seat at its lowest pont. I really love the style of this desk, i hope it gets lower

Now I am wondering if the desk can be moved up all the way so it forms a tunnel to your garden. :-)

I can confirm yes it does with a slight ducking, and thankfully that door opens outwards. 😊

Doesn't really work when you have 10 3d printers though!

No, you would struggle! I can just about fit three along the fixed desk on the right. I guess there's always more space on the Z-axis! 🙂
