Well done! I like your design process.
Thanks so much, I hope it helps you or inspires with any builds you do.
That's an envious bench indeed.
Everyone loves sanding! At least that music makes it exciting to watch.... :) Super nice addition and build.
12.07.2022 sweet! You inspired me! .. to get off my butt and clean up!
This is giving me a lot of ideas for my basement printing workshop. Thank you!
awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I hope it would inspire and help give some ideas to others. Good luck with the build. If you need any help and advice with it feel free to reach back out.
Amazing looking build im just wondering if anyone has built a desk like this into thier wall but also bought glass sliding doors to try and build thier own temperature controlled 3d printing area that will also keep dust and other things off of your builds i feel its something i moght need to try out for myself someday as im pretty good with installing glass sliding doors for bathrooms and even for backdoors that lead outside only tricky part will be trying to make it as airtight as possible
This is perfect! Finally a project that I won’t need to be a master craftsman to complete. 😂
The black Craftsman toolbox that you have looks to be the style that requires the top to be flipped up before the drawers slide out. Hopefully that’s not the case, though... Or you disabled that. Great job!!
Yep it’s the same style box. All you have to do to disable it is open the lid open all the drawers close the lid then close the drawers. So they are not locked into position. They all still close fully just not locked. Good luck with your build.
3d printing and French cleats. I love it! Great makeover!!
Awesome video Dave! Thanks for sharing it with us 👍
Thanks Pete
Damn really nice work man keep it up!😃
Nice Job! That looks great!
I love the final product. Well executed. I didn't know about the cut list optimizer. Thanks for the tip! Keep it up.
Glad you were able to get something out of the video. Thanks for checking it out.
Nice job Dave!!! Very organized and functional. I’m fixing to build a 3d printer rack to have all my printers in one area. This video gave me some great ideas!!! Thanks
Thanks for the comment. I'm happy I could have helped you in some ideas for your own. If your on IG DM me your workbench when its done. Love to see what you end up making.
man, thanks you so much, you inspired me to create somo forniture with 3D print and plywood. i order 2 prusa mini+ to start my farm and my first proyect would be the connectors you post some videos ago!!. sorry for my english
That’s awesome! I’m really excited for you. The mini is perfect for that project. Reach out if you have questions. I’m quicker to respond on Instagram. Follow me there and DM
Wow! That was surprisingly fine to watch. I have one idea though and that would be for the printer lower down to have some kind of screen in-front so you can print with toxic filaments.
Looking for inspiration for my home office, printing and crafting space. This is great. Thank you for a full build idea!
Great video Dave. Keep them up!
Thanks for watching and commenting appreciate it.
Great film, well done. Love the workbench. All the lighting installed is a very useful detail. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Nice project. Inspired me for my own printers workbench. Thanks!
Also, excellent choice of power tools, if I may say so.
Thanks so much for the comment. It means a lot. It really helps with the support. Good luck with your workbench. And if you ever need any advice or help feel free to reach out.
Nice work Dave! It came out great, very organized and functional. My current 3D printer setup is an Ikea Lack table with some storage underneath. I definitely need to upgrade at some point.
The lack is a great option always loved the way those look.
Nice build. Could you talk about the lighting? It’s a nice finishing touch.
Yea you can check it out here on etsy. the maker gives you all components for you to source your self. But its cheaper to buy from him and 3d print the parts. www.etsy.com/shop/In3DSpace?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=883553120
Awesome upgrade man!
Thanks ADJ
This build and addition to your shop is so sweet man. I’m all about some good shop optimization and organization!
That looks so good! Nice clean setup! good work mate!
Butt crack in T- (Brilliant). Thanks for the warning!!! 😂
I felt it was fair to worn people. Haha
@@3ddiy also. It turned out amazing. Some nice hints and tips in there. The French cleat wall with the printed holders are 👌.
Great video. Really enjoyed it.
Also, the sanding montages, 🤘
Very nice workplace remodel! Looks to be very practical. But please fill in the gap in the top French cleat 😅...
I really like this one. The butt crack had me cracking up
Haha thanks Luke
Excellent built in mad scientist lab. I’m wondering a few things. No lock bar on the toolbox so you can open the drawers? Do you have any cleat fixtures in mind already? Could french cleat a light. I’ve surmised you are good with keeping it there and didn’t have any need to make it in pieces to move later. After all it’s built-in. Lastly and most curious, do you have a list of tools/materials used to send to people who ask about everything? I’m wondering what filaments you prefer, where you got the models for your four amazing little trash bins, and the plywood looking desk sorting board. Looks so nice all together too.
Love the use of the heavy duty crate on the bottom and the recessed filament shelves.
The tool box does have the lock bar in the lid. But you can by pass it. Just close the lid with all the drawers open. Then the drawers can all be closed with out being locked. They still detent close. So its not just loose but it doesn't lock. Since the video I have made some holders and hooks for the cleat wall. Fall along my IG (same Name) to see updates on things. I'm more active there day to day. As for models there's too many to share. But mostly everything is on Thingiverse. If its my design I Share it there as well. For the trashcans I think you just search dumpster. The build plate holders were from the Prusa hub.
Hi Dave, I would like to ask you how I can get the plan of this workbench that you made for your 3D printers, excuse my English, I am using Google Translate 😅
Nice video! Thanks. Next time, please normalize the volume; I hate the sanding part too, cuz of the volume Lol
I definitely need to work on figuring that out. Still learning editing. Thanks for telling me.
Great makeover 👍 What is this thing 18:45? Is it something 3D printed?
yep you can find it here. www.printables.com/model/51462-expandable-steel-sheet-holder-mk-mini
Is that Baltic Birch or a domestic equivalent? I just checked the price of Baltic Birch and it's through the roof. So, I'm looking for a comparable product.
Yea its Baltic Birch, Prices have come down a bit but its still high for the good stuff. You can get some lower quality stuff but the layers don't look as nice and some of the back sides might be a bit rough. you could also do any top surface with baltic and do the sides as Painted MDF or even OSB. Sanded OSB and finished over can have a really cool texture. I prefer it unpainted for OBS. Google OSB tool walls and you can see the look. Materials in general now are just expensive for a big build. But from what I heard its going to be a couple of years before prices normalize.
How much did this cost to make?
Probably around $200 in materials. Three sheets of plywood and the slides for the drawers. Tools I had but if you would need those I assume you would need to spend a bit more.
