This really helped me with understanding jet thrusters! ty

How does the xfer to jet ski impellers? I just ordered a solas 14/21. As a guess. I don’t like having unregulated guesses.

I'm guessing that 14/21 is some sort of physical dimensions, rather than power absorption. What's needed is either power versus RPM curves, or power at one RPM combined with the cubic assumption. Also, the method here is assisted by the relatively flat torque of a large V8. Assuming your jet ski is 2-stroke, then the torque is very peaky, so an accurate guesstimate will require a power versus RPM curve for your engine. So in summary, more information is needed.

@@idahoviking yeah. This won’t apply to my needs. The jet skis 14/22 is the leading edge pitch vs the trailing edge pitch. Thanks for the info tho.

I came across this vid. accidentally. I was looking for hot animal acts I heard about . Seems like this is a different kind of "horse power " film.

The question is, how many horse power in one elephant power?

nice video sir, may I know the specs of your Hamilton 212, like size of impeller and length and depth of the fins to the shafting, size of shafting. the length of the stator part and the length of the nozzle from the end of stator , how much horse power are you running your 212? I ask this because I intend to fabricate one. thank you so much sir.
