Your not compressing it in your just scratching the joint trowel on the slabs. YOU NEED TO USE A SMALLER TROWEL THAT FITS BETWEEN THE JOINTS TO COMPRESS IT. WATER IS A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS DO IT DRY AND TROWEL IT INTO YES INTO THE JOINTS. YOU REALLY MADE A PISS POOR JOB OF A SIMPLE TASK.
I use the same method, have done for about 9-10 years now and it’s never failed me. The bloke I work always says don’t do it like that I don’t work!! Well I’ve never listened to him because I know it’s the most effective way of doing it.

I have been a professional landscape gardener for more than thirty years and easy joint is easily the worst way of pointing your paving a proper sand and cement lime mix with added toner is the best way and a tenth of the cost much easier to clean ( soduium hydrachloride) swimming pool cleaner brings joints and paving back to brand new i have jobs i did 25 years ago and the pointing still looks great..Easy joint is a short term expensive waist of money that is porous so takes in dirt which moss will grow in will get damaged if power washed do not waist your money make up a proper pointing mix. mind you though the re pointing business is booming so keep believing youtube vids and buy this product.!!!!!!
You should wet the easy joint as you pour it out the bag too, makes it a lot easier to move and makes it stain less, shouldnt apply it dry like you are showing what so ever, wet the surface and wet the easy joint compound also everytime. When its wet the compound sinks more and you get a much more full bed of it between the joints, dont know why youd make a tutorial doing it wrong honestly, but each to their own
Whilst your suggestion is more sound, he is simply just following the instructions in the manual. Thanks for the comment though, will remember this when I do it next week!
Why won’t it go off? You do realise this is a air curing product, the water is only to stop staining which he states in the video also for ease installing it but he’s already soaked the flags with a pressure washer that he also stated in the video. You need to get your facts right before criticising other people’s videos
@AllowRS. It is unfortunate that you feel the need for 'one up man ship'. However, as you say "to each their own". One piece of advice, learn to spell. Because, grammar is does not come under an arbitrary edict of "to each their own"
🌻after filling the gaps should we spray everything with water? Or the mixture doesn't need water to set?
Thank you!
you wet the product before pushing into the gaps

Its like 35 quid a tub...why not just mix sand and cement at like a tenth of the price and do it that way?
Yeh and about triple if not more the amount of labour time so works out no cheaper
@Shifty761989 yes but it won't last long
Get the select stuff same price as old formula where im at jet black best as only colour it goes long run lol
thanks for the recommendation
@@MarkMarshall_LSH used some in my garden that had been in tub with water on top around 6 months seems to have cured nicely will see how it holds up
Use Flow point m8, loads quicker & 10x’s better👌
I’ve got 160 smtrs of Indian sandstone paving at home, looks amazing & so easy to do.👌
Thanks for the tip

@@dooglemasin the manual it says to wet it up like a slurry and brush it in
You can see that the slabs are wet.
@@Dontbesilly83your supposed to wet the grout aswell as the slabs , says on the tub to wet it up lime a slurry
Thing is don’t need water on porcelain tiles..
Only add water to help oil residue on natural stone
Should soak it. Won’t go off properly like this. You lot are good but this is wrong.
They're not good to be honest

‘Because grammar is does not come’… yes my friend learn to spell, fucking clown🤣
your making a right mess of that patio. use a tube to guide it in mate. up to you. less staining if it does that. use ya nogging lol.
Not really but thanks for ya input
I do jobs of 30 up to 200 sq meters this would take us a month.
Many better options than this.
