@markbucsenac5835 Are hi Mark Nigel a very good trade and a good friend to me so yes I'll look forward to receiving your price and if it's acceptable we will be working together hopefully that work out mark mate . Appreciate your comments 👍💯
With all due respect, Justin and Fraser, looks lovely, but........SOD THAT!😂 I'm doing Porcelain jointing tomorrow morning. Ill be sticking to the brush in compound, thanks!
@Jim_Newlands 🤣🤣 I no its hard work Jim but worth it over time do it once and it's good for years .I personally found the brush in stuff doesn't last very long. They definitely need a jointing compound that works and easy to install. Good luck tomorrow Jim 👍
Ive used easy joint select on a random offcuts of porcelain yorkstone granite clay sandstone patio in my garden seems allright gotta clean it with my 4000 psi pressure washer to test it and see how it fares over a winter or two, got it all dirty digging my pond lol, did a porcelain with grout and made a bollock of it too scared to do on a big scale again
@mdmconstruction My personal opinion is my experience with the brush in grout is that it never lasts .Goes to like a soft sand after 2 years so I try and stay away from it.Never used easy grout so can't really comment on it. Glad it works for you appreciate your post . Justin 👍
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping true that's why I did the experiment at home the slabs are all laid on about 300mm+ of recycled crush and stuff that came off demolition jobs and then beds 50mm+ slurried everything even used thin porcelain and flat brick tiles driven a micro digger over so far no issues, the select stugg does say suitable for porcelain but wanna give it a few years before I can guarantee lasting results, the brother and sister in law were asking me to do same thing at there's and had a family friend looking at it other day asking what I could lay was like well anything basically
@mdmconstruction I've had nothing but bad results off all the brush in grouts .Everyone and every product is different and if it works for you perfect 👌. Good luck and thanks for sharing the info 👍
Great vids! Really enjoyable & informative Given me the confidence to have a go. The grouting is the only part i’m pondering over. Not got the balls for the flow stuff so looking for something easier. Any experience of the ‘Tuff joint’ brush in dry type stuff?
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Have ordered the Larsen stuff mentioned. As you say, i can take my time, control the mess better & it’s more like what i’ve done many times before but inside. It’s a 1/3rd the price of the other types too! So all good. Many thanks, feel like i’ve done an apprenticeship with you as i’ve watched (& rewatched) that many vids 🤣👍
Justin, finally finished my patio (wet weather problems!) used the Larson and made up! Looks great, yes, hard on your knees but have more control over the finish and less risk of a balls up. Thanks for all the videos (i watched that many, i now have a Welsh accent)😂 all the best 👍
@nigewhitt5901 😂😂😂 you sound like gavin and Stacey now do you Nig 😂😂. Glad the videos have helped you mate .you'll have to send me a what's app photo of it all finshed. Bet it all looks lush 👍😂

@@brickrightbuildinglandscapingOur landscapers did the brushing method and in a week, you could see in between the porcelain slabs 😢
Have you tried using a large capacity pointing gun with a 5mm nozzle? Takes longer to apply but saves all the clean up time after.

No I Haven't good idea thanks
that is fabulous boys xx

Looks fantastic. What overhang is good for paving slabs on steps Justin if you don’t mind my asking? Cheers
@Flat-Five
We go for between 20 and 30mm 👍
Did you install the ACO drain? Looks nice & thin.
Yes we did 👍
