One correction: It's actually quite possible for a human to dodge or catch an arrow, it has happened. Arrows are not nearly as fast as things like bullets, it's something around 200-350 feet per second depending on the draw weight and distance, with 350 being for a 100 lb bow which would be on the heavy side of war bows. 300 feet per second is about 200 miles per hour at release. That's perfectly within human eyesight and can be reacted to given a little distance.

God that's so weird. I get that Snapdragon is supposed to just be friends with Amaryllis (and that's fine), but why give him a romantic interest in Sage? Also, isn't there supposed to be an implied thing between her and Rose? Honestly, this show would probably be better off just not bothering with romantic interests. They've already got too much on their plate with plotting, characterization, worldbuilding, and the magic system.
eh, imo the snapdragon and sage moments did have some cute moments, but I didnt really think it was anything special overall. i do appreciate how they showed that just cuz snapdragon that likes to dress or act feminine, doesn't mean he's immediately gay though. ive seen so many people do that and as someone in the community, its really tiring to see the same thing over and over again, so it was somewhat refreshing. i guess the fact that snapdragon was also very understanding of sage and rosemary's possible relationship and even asked if sage had feelings for rosemary respectfully is also pretty nice. i'm glad they didn't make it super creepy overall. it couldve been worse. but most of the show? a dumpsterfire.
@@AlphaOmega1237 "Isn't there supposed to be an implied thing between [Sage] and Rose?" Nothing gets the shippers a-swarmin' like a good old-fashioned love triangle. If the show were any good (not _too_ good, just _any_ good; enough to at least keep the wheels from falling off the metaphorical wagon like they did), I could see them stretching the question of Sage's ultimate love interest for a season or three.
For the 69,420'th time, Amaryllis McMoneyBags (And snapdragon) CARRIED the show. Someone made a 6 minute compilation of the only good parts of this show, it's almost entirely those two.
I think she could easily turn people into lizards considering what new magic is capable of and the fact that in one of the episodes demon teacher transformed pair of lizards not only physically but also mentally
Hey Guardian HQ. Did you notice that aparently as Rosemary is reading the book to make the potion for Neppycat, she mentions something about either a spell or potion for eternal life? Yeah, that's a bit overpowered as hell.
You know, Redbud's explanation of New Magic basically being "you can do anything" is a problem. When you started listing spells that other people used as spells that Amaryllis could also use, I was inclined to argue that, just because one magic user is seen doing something, it doesn't mean that all magic users can do the same things. But the (lack of) rules in the magic system don't support neither debunk that assumption, so we can only guess at that point. So the possibility that anyone can just pick up a Terrashpere and use any spell in existence is real, and it's scary. It makes you wonder why are there Guardians like Rosemary's mom, who use regular weapons when Terraspheres exist? And why are untrained children being given that sort of power in the first place? Yeah, children in Harry Potter are given wands, but at least in that universe you must practice a spell for a certain amount of time before you can master it. And it's not like first-years are being taught to cast explosions or laser beams like Amaryllis and Sage can do. If I were to fix High Guardian Spice's magic system, I would limit New Magic so that it is simply an automatic version of Old Magic. That means you still need to learn and practice spells the old fashioned way, and Terraspheres simply allow you to cast those spells instantly, instead of having to go through the entire ritual. Because being able to "do anything", as Redbud puts it is just stupid and broken.
As any good fantasy writer or hardcore fantasy fan will tell you, Magic is the MOTHER of all "Deus Ex Machina". You have to put strict limitations on what it can and cannot do otherwise all tension in your story goes out the window...but of course the writers of HGS are not GOOD fantasy writers.
New magic while on the surface seeming "superior" to old magic, I think is foreshadowed to have a hidden cost that the teachers are possibly not aware of yet (they don't seem to foreshadow it as much as I feel they should have, but that's one more critique among many this show racks up).
I think the very fact that it's based on having an object, which can be lost or broken, makes it unreliable. It's surprising that the school seems to shun old magic, yet still teaches their mages CQC. You'd think having training in old magic as a backup in case their staff gets broken or whatever would be just as useful as teaching them how to swing an axe.
@@senbontorii2680 That's easily explained (as with most things in this series if the creators made the effort), in that the teachers/"adults" have come to see new magic as this brand new thing that seems way easier and more efficient so their pushing it onto the new generation and very clearly ignoring whatever fundamentals they learned when they were young, basically like most characters in the show...they're idiots. If I had to make a theory about the fundamentals they're ignoring, it would involve how energy/mana works in this world of theirs'. Basically, their mana seems tied to nature, by using new magic which involves storing mana in a container they're taking mana out of the environment but NOT giving it back immediately, in the long term this is depriving nature of more and more mana as they store more and more of it away with this new method preventing it from returning to nature as it would with the old method.
5:22 I dont know if this is neccesarily true because I thought i remember that in harry potter Avada Kedavra is explained as a completly op broken trash that's unblockable and or unreflectable by defense spells.
@Angela Perkins Love magic is even more stupid OP. Methods of Rationality handled the power scaling so much better, even with a Harry who would be a Mary Sue in the original setting.
They should do a back story on how her whole family is corrupt, selfish and power hungry. Then have her be the actually straight forward, selfless and giving. Make if her a hero character, the black sheep of her family that fits the HGS theme, underneath her horrible attitude she built up living with such a toxic family.
So you know the thing that if you put a crazy character in a crazy world they don't seem that strange anymore? Well I think they tried that but everyone is a Mary sue and is fundamentally broken and so is the world, which, surprisingly, DOESNT FIX THE ISSUE. But out of all this insanity, Amaryllis, Slime boy, and Snap dragon are *carrying* this show and don't deserve this dumpster fire. They need their own show that's separate from this world and tweeked so they aren't OP, and boom, great show.
Her wand is really neat looking, and I'm sure that the only design thought that went into it was "rich bully gets a fancy looking wand", but by making it the way they did they gave her one of the best terraspheres for combat in the show. It's small, but doesn't seem to lack any power compared to what others can do. It's hidden from view when not active, and can be activated or deactivated in a moments notice. When activated part of it remains wrapped around her wrist, so it would be difficult to disarm her when compared to other mages. Due to all of this she's the mage who's least likely to lose her terrasphere in a fight, and one of the ones who's best be able to sneak it into an area where terraspheres may not be allowed. She'd also be pretty capable of switching between her wand and another weapon quickly, and would be one of the few mages who could actually make use of the weapons training they had to take.
I also want to add something about Amaryllis: Resourcefulness: In the Halloween episode, she suggested she could gather information about Triumvirate, implying she knows people who know about them directly or undirectly.
I haven't watched the show but even from watching these videos I think Amaryllis is the best character in this show. She is actually entertaining to watch.
Amaryllis is clearly the best character on the show, but I say the show deserves a rewrite, or failing that, save her, Snapdragon, Slime Boy, Astor, Parsley, and that one catgirl, give them all better writers who can and would do them so much better in better stories.
Imagine having a talent that you possess but cannot use at will. That's exactly what's going on with the writers. Their talent is writing bad characters ._.
3:07 - One issue I have with vswiki (and there are many....) is that they equate movement speed with combat speed. There should be three speeds to differentiate on character sheets and those are combat speed (how quickly a character can actually move functionally in a fight), movement speed (a character's maximum speed in travel) and reaction speed (self-explanatory). People love to conflate these for whatever reason when they really shouldn't. Let me provide a few examples. Omni-man and Captain Marvel have FTL travel speed, but they're combat speed is....nowhere near that. They get tagged by attacks that are frankly, pedestrian all the time. Likewise, many anime characters have insane combat speed but relatively slow travel speed and then even faster reaction time (like One Piece and haki). As for lighting and speed of light scaling, people really need to drop that shit except in really explicit high tier verses and just...use your common sense. Lighting/thunder spells almost certainly don't scale to real lighting, and even actual lightning doesn't always reach triple mach (hypersonic speeds). They really shouldn't be used for speed calcs unless its explicitly stated they mimic the high end of natural lightning speeds. That's why there's so much stupid wank on that site, like Avatar characters in the high hypersonic range because they dodged Azula's lightning bending...yet being threatened by bow users and other peak human speed attacks (speaking of bows, I'm not sure why you assume dodging one necessarily puts one at subsonic). Same with Demon Slayer which probably struggles to break transonic speeds (except maybe Muzan, who still isn't hypersonic, maybe not even supersonic), and stands in JoJo's supposedly being lightspeed (they're not). Stop taking everything so literally. I also don't know about the building level calc you mentioned for characters. That's a lot of joules of energy; you do realize that's in the range of people like Homelander right? Yes, I realize sci-fi and fiction writers often have no sense of scale, but we should still be conservative. Just adding some perspective.
I agree with your point - anyone who's ever tried to squash a fly can see that a creature's reaction time is not the same as it's movement speed, and you are never going to go top speed in a combat scenario unless you're running away - but try to break up your comment with more line breaks and paragraphs so it's easier to read.
You like amaryllis because she has power scaling, character development, good writing, and fun dialogue. I like her cause she bullies the self inserts. We are not the same.
3:07 "Sage can fly at supersonic speeds for long distances, so Amaryllis can too" Sage has a broomstick sized terrasphere. How's Amaryllis going to sit on a wand? Levitation is an option but that would be slower. A terrastaff appears to propel itself by blasting out energy in the opposite direction. That wouldn't work with a wand. There's no stable platform.
I know this show from these critic videos. I am playing Fallout 4 and paying half attention at best, and my blood pressure is building listening to how insane this show is. I want Rey Rodriguez's next show(Reclaiming Gloria or something) to be approved for streaming so we can watch it crash and burn worse than this.
My favourite thing about the portal problem is there are two games that have portals and have solved the problem easily. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of them since they’re not that popular, yknow, only ever seen 1 or 2 people talk about it, but they’re called PORTAL AND PORTAL 2. And they instantly, straight away, solve the portal problem by having portals a) only be able to be used on a white surface b) only able to be placed if you’re in line with said white surface. This solves the problem so unbelievable fast it would have taken literally a single line of dialogue to tell us the limitations of portals.
5:10 About Avada Kedavra. I think that might be a bad example as it can not be blocked, reflectex or deflected using magic, with only one very specific exception which requires someone else sacrificing themself. Otherwise you need to dodge or hide behind a sturdy physical object.
Nitpick, Avada Kedavra specifically can not be blocked or deflected. You can either physically avoid it or throw a creature in front of yourself to block it, but it can't be blocked by magical barriers.
Probably the worst thing to come from this show (besides literally everything) is that it did make a few interesting characters, but didn't understand who they were or why they were interesting. Amaryllis and Snapdragon, the two "jerk characters" were perhaps the best characters in the show, enough that they should have been the leads instead of Rosemary and Sage. They did seem to what to do something with Snapdragon with the transgender aspect of there character, which unlike the teacher character, was done in a more acceptable way than "trans people exist, here is a exposition dump on that fact", but it is clear the writers didn't have the ability to do anything with that in a concise amount of time. This is why you write as if each season is your last season, cause now we'll never get a resolution to this character arc, save for the assumption that "They probably just changed into a girl".
I don't think the ball of light is literally a ball of light since Sage can hold onto it, that's probably a description of the object so it's probably not going to move at the speed if light either. One point of evidence to this is that it is affected by gravity as any normal object is whereas actual light exceeds the escape velocity of all bodies other than black holes.
Im suprised the high guardian spice world hasn't combusted already because any psychopath or idiot can get a hold of any spell imaginable and use it with ease. I would think there would be something exploding every second and everyone would be a danger to themselves and society just by him describing the things a normal school girl can get their hands on.
Wait, aren't terror-spheres the wish eggs from made in abyss. So training is giving the sphere a clear strong wish or a focus headband. Untrained users will make nightmare situations with the mixture of multiple wishes.
I’d prefer to avoid the physics side of things here, since the cartoon aspect of the show means that there is guaranteed to be physics inconsistencies.
Teleportation is low key dangerous in the same way Hank Pym or Ant man is dangerous. You might think 'getting small' is kinda lame until the dude's in your sinuses threatening to punch your brain
wow there is so much things wrong with this scalling so let's make it bit by bit first 1:29 no it's not because a character show a capacity relative to a certain scale that ALL of their attribute relate to said scale, the same goes for their ennemys if a warrior defeat a mage capable of summoning meteor in a sword fight that doesn't mean they are both on a meteor tier of resistance, speed or brute strenght, just that one of the character has a meteor tier capacity in his arsenal, a good example of this is madara in naruto shippuden the guy litterally say that if he pulled the shibaku tensei meteors when he was alive it would have straight up killed him, and that's in a shonen mind you, where it's too much easy for the viewer and sometimes authors to scale all the attributes and capacity of a character in the same tier of power considering mandrake just made a spell at building level ( and not even an offensive one mind you ) it does nothing to indicate that his or rosemary physical states are on the same levels without more clear evidences so already the scalling is wrong second 1:59 this is anime lightning i.e it goes far, far more slowly than true lightning, most of the time thoses kind of attack are put for the rule of cool without any logical following of how beings that are capable of feats such as effortlessly evading it would interact with the world or each other and considering that the show make a point to have very slow combat ( that and just being consistantly inconsistant too ) it safe to assume it's just a rule of cool based spell and not the real deal now to be fair this show is not the only one to have a serious, and I mean serious, problem with consistant feats of speed so the question to ask yourself when you see thoses kind of action in anime should normally be " does that fuck up the consistancy of the character actions in regard to their previous feat ? " if the answer is yes then it's probably just rule of cool and it's safe to assume the stuff isn't on the tier it should probably be if taken straight, that or the author litterally state that x actions is that fast/powerful in that case it could evolve into a plothole for 2:46 again it's magic light not the real deal and it's more like it falled directly into her hand instead of her catching it, not a feat of speed by any stretch of imagination with 3:13 we have another false power scalling here, it's like if I said that human in our reality are massively supersonic because we can use military aircraft technically I wouldn't be wrong, unless the tool are part of her being or soul or that she can summon it in a flash should she want to I don't think it count in measuring he physical abilities for 3:37 it's made for the " joke " theses guys are absolute wimps and because it allow the animator to go straight to the point to conveye what's happening, if they were obsessed perfectionist ( and had SuFficIeNT BUdGet ) we would see a more detailed, and unnecessary, animation showing how she push them aside, but then if we had that the review on this dumbster fire would be far different now would they ? for 4:40 wrong she is blasting a pitiful light show who uterly fail at even scratching it's victims, but hey it blast them away ! and if by explosion you mean a bit of dust flying around in a smoke shape then sure, but I'm affraide repulso in the harry potter series are far more effective at what they do for 4:56 I would say that in fiction there are force fields and Force Fields, to give an example if I wanted to survive an attack from Ea I would rather count on Avalon the Ever Distant Utopia than this discount magical shield coming from generic magic world, for all I know it would break at the slightest show of super human scale of strenght, like a club swing from a troll or something, so knowing she can make them doesn't say much unless we can see her tank some seriously impressive shit with this capacity for 5:22 I wouldn't count on that, from what little is known about avada kedavra it's a very high end curse, that may or may not directly target the soul, that is told to us in the story as capable of bypassing any kind of magical shield that would try to stop it no matter how complex, sure if high guardian spice magic system was shown to be more complex and powerfull in it's conceptual effect than the harry potter one it would be reasonable to think it able to ovepower it but as far as I am concerned magical system with far more in depth explanation and impressive feats beat generic one for 6:01 it's the typical fairy tale ability " the wizard will curse you into a frog ! " I don't think it should be taken as anything but a neat trick, unless the story make a point in explaining how broken the ability is, then it can ( and even should ) be taken seriously by the reader for 8:15 not gonna lie the ability to teleport, if not regulated, is pretty broken and having an inventory system can be beyond useful if one know what they are doing, lucky then that the characters in this show don't because then they could be fairly dangerous although the fact that a character has access to a magic system doesn't mean they can do every single things said system could allow them to do, last time I checked Edward Elric from fullmetal alchemist had access to alchemy since being a child yet never pulled out what Father the main antagonist was capable of with a philosopher stone, let alone after having fused with the Truth, so again wrong power scalling for 13:45 this girl need a therapist, ho wait they are in medieval fantasy land so they don't even exist get fucked to resume this character is far from able enough to be considered powerful ( or even ressourceful for that matter ) and I wouldn't bet on her in a death battle even against street tier opponents withtout the narrative to bail her out of practically certain death, the most impressive feats attributed to her such as super sonic speed for example are based on wrong power scalling coming from battle shonen logic and speculation that give far too much benefit of the doubt into the generic magic system while her so called " hax abilities " are useful situational tools at best overestimated trick with no practical power at worst ( if you want true hax abilities then look at All Fiction from medaka box, that shit is beyond broken or even the hakai from dragon ball super thoses are worthy to be called hax, could also put the death note and geass in that category as well ) all to say a generic system with generic character just cannot hope to hold up seriously in term of power scalling the video is still more entertaining than the show funnily enough

eh, imo the snapdragon and sage moments did have some cute moments, but I didnt really think it was anything special overall. i do appreciate how they showed that just cuz snapdragon that likes to dress or act feminine, doesn't mean he's immediately gay though. ive seen so many people do that and as someone in the community, its really tiring to see the same thing over and over again, so it was somewhat refreshing. i guess the fact that snapdragon was also very understanding of sage and rosemary's possible relationship and even asked if sage had feelings for rosemary respectfully is also pretty nice. i'm glad they didn't make it super creepy overall. it couldve been worse.
but most of the show? a dumpsterfire.
@@ryeyumi I like that Sage doesn't take interest in Snap at all until he dresses like a girl
@@AlphaOmega1237 "Isn't there supposed to be an implied thing between [Sage] and Rose?"
Nothing gets the shippers a-swarmin' like a good old-fashioned love triangle. If the show were any good (not _too_ good, just _any_ good; enough to at least keep the wheels from falling off the metaphorical wagon like they did), I could see them stretching the question of Sage's ultimate love interest for a season or three.
Amaryllis is what you would get if you gave Dan from Dan Vs. close to unlimited access to magic.
I like the sound of that
Amaryllis is the only character I like because she bullies the main characters.
HGS is dead? Aww man I wanted to see it get shit on more.
don't worry we'll keep the dumpster fire going as long as we're able
@@guardianHQ YAY! Honestly though part of me wishes there will be a second season just for the sole purpose to crap on it.
I, for one, will never tire of watching people dunk on this show. It is my go-to entertainment these days.
Thats why shes the best character. Shes in a world filled with mostly unlikable and uninteresting characters
When Redbird's Terrasphere ran out of magic I expected Sage to fall to the floor laughing hysterically.
Hey Guardian HQ. Did you notice that aparently as Rosemary is reading the book to make the potion for Neppycat, she mentions something about either a spell or potion for eternal life? Yeah, that's a bit overpowered as hell.
probablysomething that should be a bit bigger than something rushed past in brief dialogue, like that;s "main villain mcguffin" material
I just realized Leland is neither an herb nor spice
they couldn't even keep up their own stupid naming scheme
Thats a fair point didn’t consider that
Doesn't Harry block it with the disarming spell? The magic beam blocked it or whatever.
@@BalrogQuote That's because he was protected by his parents' love magic or something.
@Angela Perkins Love magic is even more stupid OP.
Methods of Rationality handled the power scaling so much better, even with a Harry who would be a Mary Sue in the original setting.
@@Angela.Perkins and he was the true owner of the elder wand or something
Her terrasphere is so cool, I absolutely love the design!!
Her last name is McMoneyBags........
Subtlety, thy name is not Raye Rodriguez.
I also want to add something about Amaryllis:
Resourcefulness: In the Halloween episode, she suggested she could gather information about Triumvirate, implying she knows people who know about them directly or undirectly.
Also do a power scaling video on slime

@@senbontorii2680 I typed from my phone that day and it was more of a rant. You're right, definitely needed line breaks; fixed now.

There's no stable platform.
generally speaking, a ball of light is a ball that emits light, otherwise it would be a ball of light for less than a fraction of a second
And they instantly, straight away, solve the portal problem by having portals
a) only be able to be used on a white surface
b) only able to be placed if you’re in line with said white surface.
This solves the problem so unbelievable fast it would have taken literally a single line of dialogue to tell us the limitations of portals.
Amaryllis:I will turn you into a lizard
Parnel:Jokes on you,i'm into that shit!
5:10 About Avada Kedavra. I think that might be a bad example as it can not be blocked, reflectex or deflected using magic, with only one very specific exception which requires someone else sacrificing themself.
Otherwise you need to dodge or hide behind a sturdy physical object.
That's why she's the best charecter in the series
Yesss ✨my girl is best girl ✨
She is going to kill snapdragon and obtain the eternal mangekyo
Nitpick, Avada Kedavra specifically can not be blocked or deflected. You can either physically avoid it or throw a creature in front of yourself to block it, but it can't be blocked by magical barriers.
1:51 "All of them being able to dodge arrows"
Sans be like:
I love the last name mcmoneybags. It's so goofy and over the top. Shame it was wasted on this show.
Im suprised the high guardian spice world hasn't combusted already because any psychopath or idiot can get a hold of any spell imaginable and use it with ease. I would think there would be something exploding every second and everyone would be a danger to themselves and society just by him describing the things a normal school girl can get their hands on.
They tried to make her unlikeable as much as possible BAM best character in the show..
I swear to god how does this show accomplish shit like this.
Imagine Amaryllis learning old magic, especially old magic retrieving spell. She can just call the Terrace Sphere to her if it ever falls.

These characters are actually able to move mach 12.
But can she take the blonde chick from "Little Witch Academia" (forgot her name, need to finish the show).
wow there is so much things wrong with this scalling so let's make it bit by bit
first 1:29
no it's not because a character show a capacity relative to a certain scale that ALL of their attribute relate to said scale, the same goes for their ennemys if a warrior defeat a mage capable of summoning meteor in a sword fight that doesn't mean they are both on a meteor tier of resistance, speed or brute strenght, just that one of the character has a meteor tier capacity in his arsenal, a good example of this is madara in naruto shippuden the guy litterally say that if he pulled the shibaku tensei meteors when he was alive it would have straight up killed him, and that's in a shonen mind you, where it's too much easy for the viewer and sometimes authors to scale all the attributes and capacity of a character in the same tier of power
considering mandrake just made a spell at building level ( and not even an offensive one mind you ) it does nothing to indicate that his or rosemary physical states are on the same levels without more clear evidences
so already the scalling is wrong
second 1:59
this is anime lightning i.e it goes far, far more slowly than true lightning, most of the time thoses kind of attack are put for the rule of cool without any logical following of how beings that are capable of feats such as effortlessly evading it would interact with the world or each other and considering that the show make a point to have very slow combat ( that and just being consistantly inconsistant too ) it safe to assume it's just a rule of cool based spell and not the real deal
now to be fair this show is not the only one to have a serious, and I mean serious, problem with consistant feats of speed so the question to ask yourself when you see thoses kind of action in anime should normally be " does that fuck up the consistancy of the character actions in regard to their previous feat ? "
if the answer is yes then it's probably just rule of cool and it's safe to assume the stuff isn't on the tier it should probably be if taken straight, that or the author litterally state that x actions is that fast/powerful in that case it could evolve into a plothole
for 2:46
again it's magic light not the real deal and it's more like it falled directly into her hand instead of her catching it, not a feat of speed by any stretch of imagination
with 3:13
we have another false power scalling here, it's like if I said that human in our reality are massively supersonic because we can use military aircraft technically I wouldn't be wrong, unless the tool are part of her being or soul or that she can summon it in a flash should she want to I don't think it count in measuring he physical abilities
for 3:37
it's made for the " joke " theses guys are absolute wimps and because it allow the animator to go straight to the point to conveye what's happening, if they were obsessed perfectionist ( and had SuFficIeNT BUdGet ) we would see a more detailed, and unnecessary, animation showing how she push them aside, but then if we had that the review on this dumbster fire would be far different now would they ?
for 4:40
wrong she is blasting a pitiful light show who uterly fail at even scratching it's victims, but hey it blast them away ! and if by explosion you mean a bit of dust flying around in a smoke shape then sure, but I'm affraide repulso in the harry potter series are far more effective at what they do
for 4:56
I would say that in fiction there are force fields and Force Fields, to give an example if I wanted to survive an attack from Ea I would rather count on Avalon the Ever Distant Utopia than this discount magical shield coming from generic magic world, for all I know it would break at the slightest show of super human scale of strenght, like a club swing from a troll or something, so knowing she can make them doesn't say much unless we can see her tank some seriously impressive shit with this capacity
for 5:22
I wouldn't count on that, from what little is known about avada kedavra it's a very high end curse, that may or may not directly target the soul, that is told to us in the story as capable of bypassing any kind of magical shield that would try to stop it no matter how complex, sure if high guardian spice magic system was shown to be more complex and powerfull in it's conceptual effect than the harry potter one it would be reasonable to think it able to ovepower it but as far as I am concerned magical system with far more in depth explanation and impressive feats beat generic one
for 6:01
it's the typical fairy tale ability " the wizard will curse you into a frog ! " I don't think it should be taken as anything but a neat trick, unless the story make a point in explaining how broken the ability is, then it can ( and even should ) be taken seriously by the reader
for 8:15
not gonna lie the ability to teleport, if not regulated, is pretty broken and having an inventory system can be beyond useful if one know what they are doing, lucky then that the characters in this show don't because then they could be fairly dangerous although the fact that a character has access to a magic system doesn't mean they can do every single things said system could allow them to do, last time I checked Edward Elric from fullmetal alchemist had access to alchemy since being a child yet never pulled out what Father the main antagonist was capable of with a philosopher stone, let alone after having fused with the Truth, so again wrong power scalling
for 13:45
this girl need a therapist, ho wait they are in medieval fantasy land so they don't even exist get fucked
to resume this character is far from able enough to be considered powerful ( or even ressourceful for that matter ) and I wouldn't bet on her in a death battle even against street tier opponents withtout the narrative to bail her out of practically certain death, the most impressive feats attributed to her such as super sonic speed for example are based on wrong power scalling coming from battle shonen logic and speculation that give far too much benefit of the doubt into the generic magic system while her so called " hax abilities " are useful situational tools at best overestimated trick with no practical power at worst ( if you want true hax abilities then look at All Fiction from medaka box, that shit is beyond broken or even the hakai from dragon ball super thoses are worthy to be called hax, could also put the death note and geass in that category as well )
all to say a generic system with generic character just cannot hope to hold up seriously in term of power scalling
the video is still more entertaining than the show funnily enough
She doesn’t have super human strength. The creators just have no realistic scale for it
