- Making a Porsche look better is very subjective. We wanted to personalise our 997 without breaking the bank. Some well chosen subtle mods add up to give the car a whole new look.

Those small additions really made a big difference. A subtle front lip would really finish it off though.
The GT3 vent looks like a kid who call the smudge of dirt on his upper lip a 'mustache'
The black trim around the headlights makes it look like the car has eyeliner on
I like it except for the GT3 vent, it doesnt suit the standard front bar, each to their own
There was only one way to find out. The front needed something and a GT3 front bar without full kit looks odd
A black plastic front lip (so scratches arent noticeable) and colour matched front vent would look dope I reackon, i think it looks a little unbalanced the way it is at the moment. Those rims though absolutely make the car though, such a great choice!

I love the ducktail and headlight surrounds. Gotta say that I'm still not a fan of the GT3 vent on anything other than a GT3 but you do you!

Awesome to see a paint shop say we don’t just wanna do insurance jobs, so many places I’ve gone into for my widebody and close door respray have always talked up how difficult it is and after a while of talking they say we really only do insurance jobs... so order panels and paint them in house for heap and charge out the ass for the job. Instead of doing something skillfull and with passion.
Yep I'm liking the style now, I'm thinking the only thing is the tail lights, can they be upgraded or changed
For the money I suspect that’s well done and gets you into the 997 chassis and car (superb) at a good value point.

Did u have to reprogram the electric pop up spoiler to not go up? Or did u need a harness delete?
Love what you’ve done !! With the rear spoiler - did you delete the lift system ? Or just undo the spoiler ? Does it show an error on the dash ? Top video bro !!
Removed it all together the system. Shows a warning on start up but doesn’t effect car so all good.
That lip Wing does wonders

Lucky it's your (YUKK I WROTE YOU'RE!? edit) car and not anyone else's aye Andrew haha, I love it. Super subtle. As you said, less like an accountants car, and more like a tuner car. Without going in the direction of a race car.

What an amazing transformation! Very well executed. I would only suggest a front lip spoiler if you want the finishing touch. Of course, now that it's lowered you will have the possibility of scrapping much more often if you go this route, so I'm assuming that's why it was not added.

One suggestion would be to smoke the tail lights but that 997 looks good

Huh? It never had a front spoiler and wouldn’t get in my driveway if it did as it’s lowered

That’s the beauty of personalising you’re car. Do what you like, not what others say they like. We know 50% will like it and 50% might hate it.

I would put a plastic lip on not color coded. It wouldn't look odd from the side and the front would look 10x better.

Front vent and black around the headlights is very P plate spec. Although the standard rims aren’t very tasteful, I feel the new rims arnt a great improvement either

There's a misalignment at the front left bumper & fender. A gap.
Needs a black splitter/gurney flap on the front bumper to complete the look.
You guys should’ve done a GTS front bar with the Rennline vent. Perhaps RUF-style front indicators would be mint. The rest of the car is killer but yeah, still a bit grandpa in looks.
Not a fan of the black headlight surrounds and that gt3 grille.

No it wouldn’t: rice spec would be fake wheels, cut springs and flames down the side.

A 991 front lip will fit 997 and it will transform the front quite a bit.
Might look abit nicer it the vent is color matcbed ah🤷♂️ the ones I've seen only the center peice is black
now it needs an agressive front lip and rear diffuser

Why is that? The Carrera badge is massive and chrome from factory
I would have left it de badged, looks good enough, sont need badges especially when it's of something its not
The badge was to hide the paint under the old badge

Not a huge fan of the GT3 vent. I get why you'd install it. But I feel aesthetically it doesn't do much to improve the look of the Porsche, but then again I'm not a huge fan of this era of 911.. so my opinion is probably not that valid.
Looks better. I'd love to see a black lip on it. But that 911 badge... They only brought those in for the Chinese market, not even porsche likes them

We have but have to change rear bumper and wiring and it’s actually quite expensive to do.
Im not really a fan of all the mods. Some are ok some not. If I were to buy it the wheels would be the first to thing Id change.

The picture looks like you’re cutting the fender and that horrified me for a few minutes. The bumper mod looks good but purists will think you’re an abomination, so might as well go all out and try to confuse them

And before my comment gets taken the wrong way, I just mean it as yes the 997 is technically speaking a 911, but Holden was technically G.M and G.M is Chevy. Soo yeah, personal taste and truthfully it does look nice and tidy.

911 is not 997. But 997 is 911. So I don't see your logic. But I do agree with you that putting 911 only is not my taste. Badge delete is not mine either. Each to their own dude.
