The Daily Cost Of Eating Thai Food In Thailand

- I eat local Thai food near Pattaya in the Sri Racha, Thailand area. This video shows what it cost to eat out for one day. My monthly expenses are low, living in Thailand. One big reason is the cheap and delicious Thai food. Whether moving to Thailand or just visiting, your dollars go much further if you choose to live and eat among the Thai people.
The cost of food while living in Thailand is very affordable compared to American food prices.

Your Thai are pretty good, Love your videos. Thank you
Thank you, Bakergirl68. 🙏🏼
Nice video hope you enjoy Thailand and great that you’re very open minded👍
Thank You. 🙏🏼
I love your videos. Does the translator still work good? Thank you so much for your content, I love how you travel!
I'm happy you like the content. 👊🏼 The translator still works, but the battery life is terrible after two years. I'm looking to get a different one this year. I'm also trying some of the apps on my iPhone 15 Pro. The phone apps were always so laggy, and I needed cell service. In Thailand, it is okay because I use AIS cell service, but when traveling to other countries for a few days, I prefer a translator, so I don't need to mess with getting a SIM card for that country.
Interesting videos so far. Hope you make more. Would like to see more about life in Thailand. Thinking of retiring there in a year
Thanks, Dean!
The video was great and very informative. Could you maybe show the cost of food in a grocery store?
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.

I cannot wait to love you thailand!!!
Sounds wonderful, Lol.
Eating Thai food, you need to use spoon to pick up the food into your mouth, not by fork. lol Fork only use for arranging the food onto spoon properly before sending into mouth.
I know, all my Thai friends tell me this. Lol
The only reason I continue to eat with a frok is because I eat too much rice when eating with a spoon. I inherently just consume more of the calories that make my belly fat when using a spoon. I know it sounds weird, but eating with a fork is an easy way for me to reduce rice intake.
Unfortunately now it’s all coming out about Thai Food is Not Healthy actually Diabetes is epidemic and all those lovely ingredients that make it taste good are extremely bad for you ? Cheap maybe but Healthy I don’t think so ! Just saying ,as they say in Thailand - Up To You 555555555 !
I agree, most Thai food that people love is not too healthy. I personally avoid the fried food, sugary drinks, alcohol and limit the rice. The stir fried food is some of the most damaging, extremely inflammatory. I can eat healthy in every country I've spent time in, but it does take a little extra effort in Thailand.
You eat a lot and still look good & fit
I take it easy on the rice, sugar, and alcohol. Limiting those 3 things makes it fairly easy to stay fit.
Omg I’m so jealous right now 😋
I love eating all of this different food, so delicious.
translation pocket is a good idea for tourists.👍😁
The pocket translator has been a very handy tool while traveling the world.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple where did you buy it from. Can you add the link
@@Joshua_X12, I purchased the translator through Amazon. Here is the link, and I'll add it to the video description.

@@JakeSnowLiveSimple thank you so much
@@Joshua_X12 you’re welcome 👊🏽
Outstanding advice. Thanks so much.
You're welcome and thank you for watching, Fred. 🙏🏼
Hi Jake, do you pay them cash or some kind of Thai bank card? Is it safe to carry cash on you? What’s your best advice for safety measures and what to use on carrying cash or credit card or some kind of app pay? Thank you for your videos!
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
I rarely use cash. I use the Kasikorn Bank K Plus app with my iPhone to pay for most things. Most vendors have a QR code I scan at checkout. It's much faster and more convenient than using credit cards or cash. I also use the app to withdraw cash, if needed, from a Kasikorn ATM. Cardless ATM withdraw. I used cash and American Express years ago before opening a Thai bank account.
It is safe to carry cash and cards everywhere in Thailand. It's the safest developing country I've been to. I feel just as safe here as I do in the US. However, I don't drink or hang around the tourist go-go bars and nightclub areas. My experience might be different if I did.
Thank you so much for you love thai foods
The people and the food are the things I love most about Thailand.
I spend that much for one small meal at McDonalds in the States. Enjoy your time over there.
Thanks, Dee.
Hi Mr. Snow, what kind of translator or app do you use/recommend? Thank you.
Hello, I use the Pocketalk Model S. I purchashed it on Amazon for about $250 and I've used it for 1 year now. The pocket translator is much faster than translating with my iPhone 12, that's been my experience.

@@JakeSnowLiveSimple translator tip - keep sentences short and use basic simple words. The more complex the sentences or vocabulary, the more likely for errors in the translation. I've found this true across many different Apps or devices.
Good advice, I agree. Attempting technical or deep conversation with a translator can be very frustrating at times.
good information
Thank you 🙏🏼
price of food is about 1/4 of what you would pay in USA That first meal and second meal is damn bargain. For me that would be it for the entire day.
My #1 living expense in the US is food. I love living in Thailand; cheap, delicious food.
Could you do best gym in Pattaya
Yes, I’ll get a gym video out soon.
Hello, I have just subscribed and enjoy your informative videos. Could you please tell me the name of your mobile translator please? Thank you.
Hello, and thank you. 🙏🏼 The translator is the pocket talk S. I will be replacing it soon. I believe there are some better ones on the market now, and they cost less.
Thank you very much for the info. Please keep making your excellent videos.@@JakeSnowLiveSimple
You're welcome. I'll do my best. 👊🏼
I'm not very good social person Where's good in Thailand that's nice n chill
Wanting cheap n chilled out
Jomtien Beach area in Pattaya is far enough away from Pattaya Beach and the clubs/bars I think it's more relaxed and has many cheap apartments. I also liked areas in Phuket near Patong Beach. Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand is also a popular city for people that want to get away and are not into the night clubs.
I also spent time in Udon Thani, which is very cheap to live. However, few people speak English there.

3 times noodles per day total150 bahts so you can show that you save more.
There is another steamed chicken & rice place I go to in Pattaya at a local market. It's delicious and only 80 baht per meal. I could eat 3 meals for $7.17 for the day. However, that's too little food for me and It's rare I eat the same food for every meal in one day.
I need more nutrients to feel good, but somebody could survive on much less food than what I consume.
Awesome video but no blood for this brother! Lol
Thank you! 🙏🏼 😂
Pattaya food cost like $5 for a decent meal and they are stingy with meat. They give u a lot of rice and barely any meat
The places I go to often give me double meat, extra veg, and light on the rice. This last year, I ordered food with no rice. Within a few visits to a new place, they remember me and make my order how I liked it.
What is bleb?
I'm not sure. Where in the video did you hear that?
is this jake gyllenhaal?
😂
what is the pocket translator you are using look simple one push button
It's the Pocketalk Model S. It's very easy to use. I purchased mine from Amazon. amzn.to/3L9cm7c
"In Thailand in the Thai area"...haha
It was the first thing that came to my mind when trying to let the viewer know I wasn't in an ExPat or tourist area.
We know what you meant.......... but it’s funny.
Reminds me of what I had in prison....
Delicious prison food.
You need to eat instead of talking too much. After you eat and then you can talk.
I agree, I need to eat more.
