As someone in the trades, it’s awesome to see how you incorporate a ton of time-saving methods with batch cutting, panelizing, and pre-building. You’ve got it down to a science and I aspire for that same level of execution someday!
@@kenskarpentry Ken, I wish you were here in Georgia ! I sure would have liked you to build one of your Great structures for a home shop. Thank you So much for all your tips, even when you weren’t speaking . I’ve learned So much from you !
I really like seeing a complete build from start to finish. Thanks, I look forward each week to seeing what you and your crew are building. Thanks again.
I was going to have something like this done with a 3 car garage and live above it. With lumber prices, I can be patient and wait till lumber comes down. 38 bucks for 1 piece of OBX board is outrageous when 2 years about it was 13 bucks.
Ken you are so good with concrete! Nice curb effect. I like that. Wow, your buildings go up fast but this is even quicker than usual! Oops, there comes that thunder storm on that other gable end. Rafters up in no time. Knee wals and collar tyes. Stair stringers and stair landing. Thanks for the full tour Ken! It looks wonderful. I loved Chad's construction jokes. Too bad I couldn't think up any.
You make it look very easy! To see just 2 guys doing the slab was inspiring for me. I am wanting to put in a much smaller pad and was worried I need many people. I don’t understand why people don’t install shed roofs more than pitched roofs. With a shed rood that entire upstairs could be used instead of leaving so much dead space.
As an electrician, I really enjoy watching these videos! You seem very down to earth and well rounded. We need more foreman like you in the electrical trade.
When I first saw the video title, I thought that you would be working fast just to keep warm. 🤔 . . . Then I realized that the video was done when the weather was warmer. 😊
Great video! Each one of your videos leaves me wondering how the customer takes your builds to the next stage and this one is no different. Very well done.
Good Wednesday night Kens Karpentry .Very very nice coverage of the build Ken. Those end walls looked very heavy. Smooth sailing in 2022 .... take care Ken, Chad & Dan.😊
Beautiful building. I really enjoy watching your team work and quality build. The property is awesome what a view, I personally would have more windows. Just my opinion, great video.
Reminds me of the house a friend of mine's house that he built in the 1980's. Just had 1 garage door on the right (had basically a 1 1/2 car garage) and the rest of it on the left was a kitchen & small laundry room, bathroom, and utility room (furnace & water heater). Stairs were at the back going left to right. Upstairs front was a living room running full width and bedrooms (can't remember if there were 2 or 3), bathroom, and a study/den. Awesome place. Perfect for a care-free bachelor.
Ken, did you ever think you would have 2500n views i the first hour of postinbg? i loved the video you did on your RUclipsgrowth. You are a great man with a great family and you are making a difference in peoples lives. Thank you for including us on your life journey.
Smiling! Good job guys, always enjoy your craftsmanship. Makes me want to strap my belt on and start a project. Might have to let it out an inch or two. Smile!
Do it yourself. Just take your time. I know what your saying about people today. Alot of so-called contractors up here in the north east will scam you with shoddy work for big money if your not careful imo.
Man Ken beautiful as always that there is my dream home cozy Lil pad upstairs and my hotrod garage down stairs some day I’ll look you up for something like that for sure
Nice work. I wanted to build a home just to see if I could. It was in a city next to Los Angeles harbor area. 650 cu. yds. of dirt remove, down slope lot. 4,000 sq. ft split level. It was a tank, code for earthquake is extreme. 1 year to get plans approved, Was on massive Basalt formation and septic was not going to pass perk test so put in a sewer line to another area below. Had to put in tees for the homes 5 homes, between me and the tie in. Got another home to help in cost. That took a year to get approved and built. Then 2.5 years to build the home. Turn out great. My designer stayed on till the structural was check off by the city. I used his subs. I did the golfering and metal fab stuff and put in the cabinets fixtures, tubs toilets fireplace garage doors railings for stairs and balcony. I learned a lot. I would had been better off buying a fixer. The city came in and told me what its value was. I thought I could show receipts and claim that value. $1.9 million so $23K in property tax a year. I live in it 10 years, til 2020 and sold it just to get out from under the taxes. Close to retirement and no way I was going to be able to pay that on a fixed budget.
Great vidio!! I enjoyed seeing the whole build in high-speed that really showed the whole process. Also, since it's -5 (minus) degrees F here in NH, it was good to see a warm and green Vermont countryside... great looking property.
I’m exhausted I can’t believe we built a garage. In one day day before I even left for work. Wow nice job
Nothing says “DONE” better than a structure built by people who know what they are doing. Beautiful work guys. Thanks for sharing.

I am here because of Al and Gina as well!
@@SpicySteve-tz2so Yay Steve ! Ken is a good guy and seems to have drilled down on and efficient build process.
The nail guns, on time lapse, make me think of “tommy guns”, from gangster movies.
Beautiful building, as usual!

Loved it!!! Excellent job as always!! Stay blessed!!
Time lapse construction projects are pretty cool. A good way to see the how its generally done without going over all the details.
Thanks
In Canadian East coast the city made me place 2" pink foam under slab and pour 8" curb and floor in one piece. It was a 24X32 garage.
