Would this kit allow me to do more than one function at once with a grapple? For example can I lift or lower loader arms while opening or closing or curling a grapple? I have a 3032e and looking at this kit. Does the 3032e have enough hydro flow to allow multiple functions?
Do you know the Kit number for the 3rd function? I am told it is BXX10808 by my local dealer, but Deere's site doesnt give much info about it. Says only SOLENOID HYDRAULIC VALVE.
Great video! I'm running into an issue with my 3-Point lift arms. When the power beyond loop is not connected, the 3-point lift arms do not work. Is that normal, or I'm I missing something on my setup?
that's normal. The power beyond is in the circuit before the rockshaft (3 pt arms), so if it's not connected, then the rockshaft doesn't have a hydraulic supply. On the 2038R (and maybe for the 3E, I just don't have one to confirm), the design is such that it removes the rockshaft from the circuit when the backhoe is connected so that a user doesn't accidentally try to continually lift the backhoe while it's on the machine.
I did not know that Deere had a 3rd function kit available for these tractors? I did a build your own from their website and there is no 3rd function available to choose as an option?? Would this 3rd function also work on a new 3025D tractor? And can this be in combination with the dual rear SCV, part # BLV10901? Thanks .
From what I can tell, this doesn't work with the "D" versions of the 3 series. That said, there is only 1 hard line that would really be applicable because all of the other pieces are on the loader and it's the same 300E loader. I can't speak to the rear SCV part since I don't have a D model, but for the E model, if you have the rear SCV, then the tube that comes from the case to the loader is a tee so that you have supply that goes both back to the rear SCV and forward to the loader. Again, I'm not familiar with the D tractors, but I do know that the hydraulic systems are very different and unfortunately, my 3 series kit doesn't work on the D models because the hydraulic pumps are different and in completely different locations.
@UC8q9_tjgpPipQF_Tk_SbZyw Yes, this is a JD kit. BXX10240. I would find a new dealer, or at least a new rep. Nothing he's told you so far is correct. I haven't had a WR long kit, but it's a true 3rd function and they seem to be good...but they are not as well integrated as the JD version. Go here - techpubs.deere.com/en-US/Search/Instruction - and search for BXX10240 and it will show you the instructions. The BXX10457 kit is the one that works with the rear SCV and the difference in the two kits is that one goes into the transmission and the other connects to a PB from the rear PB loop. While you can put a tee in a high pressure line, I misspoke in the video b/c it's not a tee, but it connects to the power beyond line from the rear. In open center hydraulics, you typically use the power beyond to connect SCVs in serial so that you can use them together, but a tee can also solve for this as long you as you have relief valves in the right places. If the WR long kit has a PB port, that is the best place to pick up the flow and run it back to the rear SCV...or you can send the flow to the rear and pick up the PB from it to feed to loader.

How long did it take you to install the kit?
Honestly, I can't remember, but I think it was a couple of hours total. About 2/3rds of that was trying to decipher the JD instructions.
