- During the Spa-Classic 2017 at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps I filmed this beautiful road legal McLaren F1 GTR Longtail in action on the track. This beauty is powered by a 900 horsepower 6.0 liter V12 from BMW Motorsports, which sounds amazing!
Huge thanks go to my friends and youtubers Italiansupercarvideo ( / italiansupercarvideo ) and 19Bozzy92 ( / 19bozzy92 ) for letting me use some of their footages!

I'm a simple guy. I see McLaren F1, I hit the like button.
i saw it at Daytona International Speedway in 2004 when it was in it's Lark Livery... even sat in it.
alexander1485 I lived in FL for a long time and somehow never went to the tracks yet.... lol
hell yea brother!
After all these years, she still looks fantastic and sounds epic!! Mac Daddy for the win!!
Porque era rapido y gano.(sigue siendo rapido)
I dont care what no one thinks, "McLaren F1 Longtail is the most gorgeous car ever built"💞💕
it doesnt sound super loud or quiet, its the perfect blend of a graceful yet aggressive sound
le mans legend.
Over 120+ wins since 1994
@James Wheeler oh yeah...
La belleza mas grande que ha rodado en circuito, espectacular
The engine sound of GOD....................Music to anyone's ears
Incredible looking car
Excellent video of McLaren F1. I like your videos in 60 FPS!!!!!!! very NICEEEE!!!!
BMW Power!
yurixruz that's what held this car back
Held it back? How do you mean? That it won Le Mans on its debut despite not initially being designed as a racing car or that it is still the fastest production car with a naturally aspirated engine?
@@Big2009Gee excuse me, this didnt hold the car back, if it did then mclaren would go out of their way to make a new engine, but they didnt, so they went to bmw, a good choice since we all know how the reliability is on british engines, and you say the engine held it back, please, this car set and still has the record for fastest N/A production car so i would be complaining
Great footage! Too bad they put on cats which reduce the noise generated from exhaust... Well, it is road legal too. Full race trimmed Longtail sounds a lot louder. Screamer
true, i've heard this car in other videos, it's jesusly loud
BMW V12 😍
BMW Motorsports
What's different from it? That thing is unreal,3 mclaren f1 gt's were made
I wish someone would do a head to head of a F1 GTR vs 918. That would be epic.
Very nice!!
great sound
Wow, 900 hp is super impressive for a N/A engine. Did the unrestricted engine really make 900 hp naturally aspirated?
I’ve been scouring the internet looking for proof of this
did they have to go through a checklist of requirements like the p1 GTR in order to make it road legal?
TheOne AndOnly every car does
900, come on you mean 627hp
Ruud Hobsumaz this spec is the 680 bhp version.
Murtaza Rizvi So why would the uploader write 900
Victor My guess is as good as yours man. Maybe he mistook it for P1 lm.
This car is currently for sale on classic cars I think

Street legal... comes with a truck
Initially this car is GTR longtail prototype (no road car) to develop GTR longtail race car 600HP.
But after, one english owner tuned this prototype to road car but for UK road only l think. But in UK you can drive a formula 1 v10 in the road if you fixe a flashlight with scotch in front of the car ^^ (little exaggeration for understand UK road certification)
+300 HP without FIA restriction is incredible ! Fast S70/3 B60 !
You can drive it in other countries, though the owner chose not to drive it from the UK to Spa instead he decided to transport it and save some miles as well.
I'd take it by truck as well, also removes a lot of risk of unwanted damage as well.
The truck is about 1/200th the price of the car. Safe investment I'd say
2jzandy s exactly
I commented that just as a joke because if i would own a car like that i would deliver it with a truck too
This thing is for sale now
1:36 DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Amazing car, but I have my doubts that the 6.1 liter V12 is putting out 900 hp. Do you have any evidence for this claim?
There isn't any. Even Nascar engines can't do that , they are 5.7 & 725hp with multi-million dollar R&D and engine development. Pro stock dragsters are 8.2L x 1500hp , so it's possible to make 6.1L x 900hp but it's life is measured in seconds.
Nascar engines were making close to 900 hp unrestricted (and they're 358 ci, which rounds up to 5.9 liters) and doing so all weekend at WOT with races up to 600 miles. But yeah, still an engine with a much shorter life span than something designed for a 24 hour race.
Remember the Longtails were destroked to 6.0, but regardless, I think a realistic power number for the 6.0 and 6.1 without restrictors would be something just north of 700 hp on race fuel. 750 tops. Remember the LM made 680 without restrictors on normal fuel.
It doesn't. It makes 600 hp in Lemans restricted form. Even the LM makes 680 completely unrestricted
I was hoping this car to, you know, screaming....
engine of BMW

no one cares
Why would this have 900 hp? The normal McLarens Longtail just had about 600 hp. This seems it has even less than that.
You're completely correct.
The road car, 627hp, the race car,a bit less than that due to air restrictors (around 600hp), the F1 LM road car fully unrestricted, around 680hp, this guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. For this normally aspirated V12 to start producing 150hp/liter would require VERY EXTENSIVE modification. Yet another example of someone with little to no knowledge trying to exaggerate on You Tube to draw in viewership.
I agree with all of this.
noise restrictions this day? seems much more tame in the exhaust note than normal..
This livery F1 GTR is called "squiggles."
It doesn't sound like other F1s - much quieter and not as 'shrill' 👎
Sounds like he's short shifting :(
What's wrong with that height??
Because street legal cars require warm up procedures
Muhannad Aldajan it's just safer that way. besides most cars do my s2000 idles at 1800 rpm till its reached 30 degrees then it lowers to 850 rpm same for my gtr witch won't select a gear until transmission temp is over 18 degrees C. in the UK you can make any car road legal if you meet the minimum requirements look a Caterham's a race car that has just enough parts to make it road legal nothing more....

lap time?
Sounds good. But its not the sound of the real race car. I was hoping for that...
900 hp without the air restrictor
1:34 flames.. but not like the fake ones today..
can see how Mercedes fan boys are biased, always mention that Zondas has AMG engines what so ever, but once others mention that F1s have BMW engines, they will go like "no one cares BMW", shame on those biased people
900 hp? How the hell did BMW even get that sort of power out of a NA V12 6.0 engine? Granted, the F1 V10 makes that much too, but it revs higher than a person on crack. I don't think this V12 even goes to 9k
900PS? No.
looks like a novice behind the wheel
That's not the sound i know!
2021 is the year of the new beginning but it is also a year of the Intriguing and the Halo of Turbo Factory cars and bigotry. rest in peace Ayrton Senna I kind of wish Honda would have built the engine for the McLaren but I understand why they didn't and it was probably for conservative reasons however I think they would have built a better engine than the BMW with all due respect all due respect
that is honestly the slowest 900hp car I have seen
Shady that beast is worth north of 5million$ . the driver is not pushing the car to its limit for a reason
car is worth over $20 million dollars, regardless I call bs on 900 hp, you bring a car to the track and you dont rev out the engine? I get that the person doesn't want to go flying into the corners and give it 10/10ths, but even in a straight line it looks like there is no difference compared to the other GTR's... look at all the other cars behind it they are all keeping up no problem in the straights. More like a ~ 600hp car.
watch the video I posted, hes obviously taking it slow here
i not even saw the brakelights flashing, that mean, that he dont have to brake, cause he already was slow enough ;)
wat are you talking about you don't have any videos lol
And a 1990 Jaguar XJR-12 still laps 10 to 15 seconds quicker over a 27 year period..............go figure.
Why does it sound like a Mazda 2-rotor?
By the time I commented, I hope, this awful livery had been stripped off the car.
