    I've always enjoyed playing basketball but i've never actually watched or game or many highlights. I've seen a little bit from Larry Bird and that's about it. I take a look at Michael Jordan and his Historic bulls mixtape. The Jordan Vault. I can't lie watching this video made me want to watch basketball even more.

    Cannot be Messi of basketball. Messi won just one World championship. MJ won 2 Olympics and 6 NBA titles. MJ was also the best NBA defender in 1988 (and the best scorer in the same year). Messi has a mirror, Cristiano Ronaldo, and MJ was just unique.

    Living in the Chicago suburbs we got to see every one of his games on TV or in person, when we were lucky enough to score tickets. Every game there were at least a couple of these highlights-MJ dunking, or making an insane shot, or a buzzer beater, or blocking a shot with authority. The top 3 players on this time were MJ, Michael Jordan and Air Jordan. There is a video on RUclips comparing Jordan and LeBron James that gives his stats, and it shows how dominant Jordan is compared to the rest of the league. His achievements statistically are head and shoulders above most who have ever played and nobody dominates the stats like he did. He is simply The GOAT…

    He retired the first time after his father was murdered in the car he bought for him.
    He chose rhe new number when he came out of retirement because he didn't feel comfortable wearing his old number without his father to watch. He had seen every game he ever played wearing that number. He eventually made peace with himself and returned to his old number.

    • @PACO0128
      @PACO0128 Год назад

      Bro he was unable to wear 23 because the number was retired. That’s why he initially was 45 for that short season

    • @gk5891
      @gk5891 Год назад +3

      @@PACO0128 That is an oversimplification. He has publicly stated, he could have gotten the number unretired if he insisted, but he didn't feel right about it at the time because of his dad. Gene Jordan told me the same thing.

    11:45 - what happened is that he won 3 straight nba rings and then his father got murdered in a robbery, he got depressed and quit basketball ( in his prime ), he played baseball for almost 2 years, the world was in shock. after that some players taunted him saying things like he just left cause he was not that good anymore. So Mike returned to the nba and won another straight 3 nba rings, thats more or less the story. ( he was never good at baseball, he did it cause his father loved that sport and he was on a mental breakdown, didnt rly know what to do, mike was such a big legend already at that time that a real baseball team gave him the oportunity to play, even knowing he didnt play baseball in his life and he will probably suck, thats how big mj was and still is. )

    LeBron James is the best basketball player of our generation.
    Michael Jordan is the greatest Athlete of all time.
    There is no comparison.
    His statistics are insane, but they don't actually do him justice. His highlight reels are also insane, but they don't do him justice. They aren't highlights, because HE DID THAT EVERY SINGLE GAME. Literally every single game he played like this. Like it was the first and/or last game of his life. He reinvigorated the NBA single-handedly.
    Also the 70something wins - 10 losses is just one season, not his career.
    You're right - he's not that tall, compared to some of the giants in the NBA (especially at that time). He's same height as me (196cm / 6'5'') although his hands are gigantic, but they still couldn't do anything to stop him, even in that era where defenders were allowed way more physical contact and hand-checking.
