Its difficult, sure... but mastering him already gave you the best rushdown in the game that was already basically unreactable, forcing you to guess several times to even stand a chance. Now? He's faster than the fucking netcode. Insane stuff.
It is so tough because it is essentially hard code. If you remove rollback, online is worse. Keep rollback, and Magneto is one of the best characters.

Seeing Justin's team diversity and ability to play them all to a high level is so much more impressive to me than watching Storm, Sent, Magneto at an insane level 300x.
That's the thing. Justin understands this game at a fundamental level to the point where he can just put a team together and figure it out on the fly.

I think Justin was playing on Steam (the button prompts are Xbox, and in the Twitch VOD someone in chat asked Max how the Steam version felt, so Max switched over to the Steam version to play against him. But yeah I hate games that have voice chat turned on by default without push to talk so you don't even know your mic is hot.

I think it’s a regional thing to New York lol. I grew up there and haven’t heard any other state I been to in the west coast say stuff like that.
@@UltimaRedFireEskimo we had this dude at the arcades who dressed up like Clark Steel (his main) and shouted and posed the attacks of the character everytime he connected a hit, in KoF98 and KoF2000. Most of the time released the lever and buttons to say "Hey!", "Hey, come on!" and "Running Three oryaaaa"... only on hit, of course, otherwise was really focused. It was hillarious to watch, but he played really good, too.

Between watching Max and Justin play matches and me revisiting the series with this and MvC3... I've finally accepted that my eyes simply aren't fast enough for MvC. Won't stop me from playing it, I love these games, but goddamn, I truly have no idea what's happening half the time, lmao. Also, I need to rewatch Justin's matches now that I know that his mic was hot the whole time, hahaha.
I know there’s an EX Setting for the lighting that’s supposed to I think turn it down, I dunno if that would help. But I hope you continue to have fun playing anyways 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@KnightOfNewColu Yeah, I might mess with that setting to see if it helps. It's all good, though! I don't play fighting games competitively at all, I play them the way kids play with action figures: "Ooh, it'd be fun to match these guys up and see what happens", lol
Still easier to follow than a Smash match.
Half of it is anticipation. Like Max said, MvC2 is a very assist-heavy game, so you track the enemy character and keep an eye out. If they jump or dash, they'll most likely use an assist too, so you prepare to block or counter. Likewise, when you're coming down from a hyper jump, you use your assist to catch the opponent by surprise.
The hardest part is timing for combos, it's going to take some time in training to figure it out. Learning how to play (not win) against certain teams comes with experience.
Justin going to a platform where people can’t refund is like a reverse of when Piccolo destroyed the door to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so Buu couldn’t get out 👍🏻.
And even if you manage to find a way to refund, Buustin Wong will rip a hole through space and time to find a way to get the game back into your library
I'm pretty sure he plays on Steam. Max has been playing on Playstation. He switched over to the steam version to play with Justin. You can see the xbox button prompts, and when Max is normally playing it's playstation. Max also said to chat "The Steam version feel great too". (watched the twitch VOD) Edit: 13:31

I can’t believe we’re watching MVC2 content in 2024
This was the most confy friendly video to watch of mvc2 and actually make me interested in wanting to learn how to play it. The editting was SO on point to give us viewers a chance to process what is actually going on with the assists and other super fast mechanics that a few characters display. I am always watching all of your fighting videos from time to time and this is probably my favorite of all time from mvc2 that you ever put out. Thanks for that to you both.

Yes Wong from way back in summer 2000 mastered this game. He blocked things that would make ur head scratch. But the best I’ve seen? He was not an infinite guy, no flashy combos etc. Just straight beating using intellect. He is to this day, to me, the best there has ever been at MvC2. Sandford Second. Yipes Third. Desmond XCutioner 4th cause his thrax is crazy. And then the rest.
