Christine McVie - 1943-2022 - A Video Tribute - Fleetwood Mac “Why” (1973)

Hearing the news today (November 30, 2022) of Christine McVie’s passing was a real shock. She, as part of Fleetwood Mac, have contributed to the soundtrack of my life for the past 25 years, since discovering the album “Rumours,” and their reunion concert “The Dance.”
Christine was a beautiful songsmith, a talented keyboardist schooled in the blues and invigorated by rock, and was always the epitome of class. I feel so fortunate to have been able to see her live three times; Twice with the Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac in 2014 and 2015, and once during the Buckingham McVie tour in 2017. Her music will live on in eternity, as will her memory.
I wanted to leave you with one of my favourite Christine songs, “Why,” from the (highly underrated) 1973 Fleetwood Mac album “Mystery to Me.”
Fly to the heavens now, Songbird. You’re free! ❤️
