Been a KISS fan since 76, I was 9 yrs. old. Ace was always my favorite. Met him at a book signing in Jersey about 10 yrs. ago. Me and my 3 sisters dressed up as Kiss for Halloween back in 78, Good times. great guy ! Ace is the best!!!

Tell me about it! Ace has put out at least four albums since he quit KISS the second time. KISS only two. And that's in a twenty year span of time. Just to add, if you ever heard Sonic Boom, it's a Sonic Dud. In so many songs it's got main riffs by songs from other bands. At least Ace is still original.
That "Piss" comment by Paul. Sounded like a high school bully trying to sound cool. It was really sad and disappointing. Paul is a 70 year old man and can't sing like used to do. Uses backing tracks just to get through the shows. While Ace has put out 4 solo records and still plays live and sounds great. Lifelong Kiss fan (53) I just rolled my eyes when I heard the comment.

Does it really matter what any of these guys says about one another at this point. They are already rich and probably dont care what anyone thinks at this age. If anything this might help their publicity some.

The people who are still going to Scab Kiss concerts and buying Scab Kiss music are the ones who missed the first second and third boat of Kiss. I saw every show from Crazy Knights tour through The 2000 Farewell tour and have had no interest in seeing the Shrine Circus with a pre recorded musical background just to say I saw Kiss live.
Thanks Ace and Ed, great interview! So cool Ace to have the balls to admit your past mistakes, and that your a Christian , and found the way out through God! There definitely is evil as well, and you were on his doorstep and survived to tell about it. You've lived the Rockstar life with all its glory and pitfalls. And your right , we all will answer. So true. Some others can't admit their problems and blame others. We all screw up. I can still remember opening that kiss alive double album as a young teen! Wthell ! It blew me away. ! Still does! Fact: Ace sounds more like Kiss today than Kiss does when playing Kiss songs.
I guess that's why he plays so many vintage KISS songs in his set.And NOT just the songs he wrote.He plays a LOT of classics.

When the fallout from a 'Trunk' interview trickles down to local FM radio in the wastelands of southwest Ontario, Canada and KISS become 'news' again here. The bottom-line to this sad and pathetic dance is Ace is disgruntled towards the Gene and Paul show for not meeting his conditions to return for appearances in the final EOTR tour dates later this year. The local radio DJ's here look upon this situation as a joke, albeit they don't realize Ace had first-hand experience of Gene and Paul's unscrupulous greed and selfishness for years. I say, "Bring on the dirt Ace, we're waiting".
Everyone loves to talk about Gene and Paul’s greed and say they are money hungry etc., it’s kind of old. Gene and Paul put the work in, started the band and kept it going long after Ace and Peter left. Ace and Peter chose to play rockstar and get into drugs and alcohol, etc. and ruin their lives. Gene and Paul didn’t Gene and Paul kept working. Let’s not forget that Gene and Paul also made Ace and Peter millionaires again. They both chose their path and it’s kind of pathetic that people blame Gene and Paul, for wanting to keep their careers and their livelihood afloat. Every single person on this planet would have done the same thing.
I will go along with Ace on the fact that he was the better musician! I will also go along with the fact Stanley and Simmons were/are greedier than he probably is! The only added thing is that people that listen to some of the old Kiss music don't really give a shit about what the 3 of them spew out about each other!

Ace continues to put out good, solid albums since Anomaly, and Kiss haven't made a good album since 1985 asylum imo ('revenge' is waaay overrated. I think it sucks). Ace is getting the last laugh and putting P n G to shame as far as albums go.. And also, the sound quality of Ace's albums are fucking incredible! That's all Ace.. The last several Kiss albums sound like shit by comparison
I've never gotten the hype for "Revenge." I liked "Unholy," but that's about it. It's absolutely way overrated. For me, and I'm 52, "Lick It Up" was the last album they did that I liked, so I was 12 or 13 when I bought that record.

That is the question of the day. I would love to hear what the fans want from kiss. Because if you look how Wicked Lester ended. It ended with Gene and Paul leaving the band and forming kiss. kiss was equally distributed through four members. Peter Chris, Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Original sound is kiss. sure the new members that were brought in definitely laid the grounds for a different sounding kiss. Not bad, good. But good enough to take the original two members out and replace them? My vote is, the four original members. is it possible for the four members to work together under the conditions Gene and Paul are putting them under? I think not. But I still say, I go with the four original members and it’s sound. So let’s hear what the fans think. Leave a comment saying original four or original two.
I too would rather see the four original members of kiss. I don't care about Tommy Thayer and their new drummer whoever he is....

It really doesn't matter now, Gene and Paul have completely destroyed their own legacy, Ace wanted to play on the end of the road tour .. same old crap different decade..
Ace is a musician and can really belt out his vocals no background tracks. Paul is an embrassment of a front man but gene can still sign. Gene and paul are not very mice people at all ask most fans who have met them. Very rude and greedy people. Then ask fans about ace n peter....there down to earth very nice people...and who is always talking trash its gene and paul..I'm 57 years old and proud to say gene n Paul's kiss have not recieved a penny of my money since the 1996 reunion tour. People need to understand they are wasting money on a tribute band.....thats all gene Paul and Eric singer and Tommy Thayer have been and still are.....if you want to see a killer tribute band its mr speed look them up on you tube. And if you want an album klassik 78 has 3 albums like kiss would have put out before the solo albums.....they are awesome....and the ace guy is very talented see his solo live concert on you tube doing all ace material in costume....he's great

Paul said that because they can't sing anymore. So he blamed Ace.
Ace has survived on covers since his solo album in 1978...and not one hit of his own since the KISS days. KISS would not have made it without Ace and Peter...but they were destroying the band. They had many warnings and they thought they were bigger than the band. so LOL ! that was not true. Ace plays shows to small audiences ( most less than 1500 people ) and they are nothing special in these shows.
Ace and Peter were always my favorite members of Kiss when I first got interested in the band in 1976 as a kid . I wrote off the band when they left . Having said that , I did find Vinny Vincent to be a talented guitarist in the line up that followed , but he aint Ace . I always thought Gene was a mediocre bassist and still do .
He's got some game, but he's no Geddy Lee or Les Claypool.
