J Kidd is my favorite PG of all time too. He was just amazing on both sides of the court. He could pass, shoot (he got better later on in his career), rebound, play defense and most importantly, he could lead any team and change the dynamics of a team. Amazing HoF career!
Kidd was robbed of the 2001-02 MVP award. He took a dormant franchise in the New Jersey Nets and led them to two straight Finals appearances. His career will forever be defined by his work in New Jersey because he changed the fortunes of Nets within one day of training camp.
Same thing when he showed up for the Mavs. Day 1 they got better. Monumental mistake to trade him. If he'd spent his career playing with Dirk there is no telling how many rings they would have won.
Crypto Hoop if you got manu and ginobili and all those great role players then i think you would rethink how great jkidd carried the nets. Kmart against who? Kittles vs ginobili? Lolol a bit unfair right?
Kidd's greatest talents weren't dunking, passing or shooting. It was IQ and leadership. Great player from college to retirement and a great elder statesman for the sport.
I don't think I've ever seen player with better spatial awareness. Ever. I loved him as a youngling watching him live, but could never articulate why. Now I can. Imagine him with A.I. & Jordan? Untouchable.
Jason Kidd will forever be a legend in the NBA and he was my favorite player coming out of college and the impact he made in the league was amazing. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
I remember reading an article about Kidd in Sports Illustrated, while he was in high school. It had a photo of him surrounded by letters, which were representative of the many offers he received to play college basketball. More often than not, kids (no pun intended) don't live up to the hype, but this kid surpassed all expectations. He was a great point guard, who elevated the play of his teammates.
I was so happy when he won the championship with Dallas. Truly one of the greatest PG to ever play, with magical passing skills on top of being a great all around player.
remember all the hype of him coming to college. I was like this guy doesn't really Score but he changes the Whole dynamic of the Game with how he plays. Not many can do That.
The best combo of finesse and efficiency of all times, Mr. Jason Kidd. He dragged a so so team, with not outside shooters to the finals TWICE, he was that great This i why some idiots just bring the rings card when comparing genius like Kidd or Nash, i do know Kidd had one with the mavericks, but, he in my eyes was just amazing to watch.
As great as so many of these new point guards are I wish we could see J-Kidd, GP, Tim Hardaway and even Rod Strickland play with these new guard friendly rules.

Best ever🔥Love the way Brooklyn Nets are playing under the offense by Steve Nash that’s genius how they have Aldridge & Griffin implemented around the scoring too!
He was amazing! Highlights are sweet, but it was all the little things he did to impact winning. When I watched a game with Kidd, I always watched him first and the ball second. He could dominate the game and barely crack double-digits in points.
I still remember watching him in college, and it was easy to see that he was going to have a nice career. He should have definitely been an MVP once or twice during his run. Of all of the great point guards in league history, he may be in my top 10. The league has been blessed with some insane talent at the position, top 5 would be pushing it in my eyes.
I thought about him as a top 5, but could not go there. I have Magic, Isiah, Stockton, Oscar, and 5 is loaded with players, but it may be Curry' spot to lose, as he has redefined the position. I think that Paul needs to be in there before Kidd is considered. But there are also some old school gods, like Cousy and Frazier who need to be in the running. The thing is that the game has evolved so much, that comparing point guards is extremely difficult, as the position is unrecognizable today when comparing it to back in the day.
I would definitely put him in the conversation, but I am not putting all my chips towards that argument. I think that Kidd was fantastic, and an easy choice for the hall, but I like Stockton better, and I would put Iverson (which is a name that I originally missed in my comment) there as well. I definitely agree that Kidd is in the conversation though, and it would be doing the game a disservice otherwise. I am definitely not hating on the man.
Kidd was a very humble pg. Dog on defense and one of the most timely passers. Loved his game.
He used to give people the blues with his defense. What a nightmare matchup to have to prepare for.
Jason Kidd was a straight baller. Comparing him to Lonzo Ball is just straight disrespectful.
Yep Jason Kidd is a legend should have more respect than that.
Kidd and Lonzo are very similar players. Lonzo has the potential to be what kids was back in the day
You do realize they have practically exactly the same stats in their rookie years, right?
They both true point guards why not
I’m a Laker fan and you’re absolutely right.
that lob with Yao ming guarding is just crazy
Even Yao is smiling and laughing after, it looks like he says "My god..."
You can't fool Jason Kidd. The guy is a basketball genius.
Vince Carter and Jason Kidd was one of the greatest duos to watch
Too bad the FO couldn't get them the big man they needed
They should have done better, considering they played in the East.

No, Duncan deserved it more than Kidd.

He was never overly flashy. Just out there making play after play. Always respected this cat.
