Two of my favorite PGs of all time playing each other. Who cares about choosing between them, they inspired me to get into the game of basketball as a whole.
What an epic performance by both.
Point Guard mastery from both guys. So beautiful to watch how they lead and create for teammates, and their teammates know from playing with them be ready to catch the ball at anytime.
You can see both of them using moves (e.g. short curl from side to FT line jumper) that have become staples of CP3's arsenal. Kidd's reading of the defense getting pinned down or going under picks is sooo quick. These guys were both just brilliant.
Seeing all these recent Nash vids helped me remember how much of a sniper Raja Bell was.. Completely forgot about him
A lot of you don’t remember, but Nash, Kidd and KJ played together in Phoenix during the late 90’s. Wow!

One of the greatest regular season games ever. This duel was about the most exciting superstar duels you could ever you could ask for because it was was a back and forth game that went to two OT’s.
Two of the bests PG of the 2000s. Kidd, a more physicall, slasher and great defender who also gain a reat shooting ability in the dawn of his career, Nash a smart, more crafty and better shooter with a fast pace style of basketball. Both with a vision of the court out of this world.
Two legends playing the best basketball and competition out there.
One of the most greatest duels of all time. Maybe top 5.
Stupid nets gm and owner. They had a run tmc lineup. 3 perimeter guys. Kidd, Vince and rj. They didn't know how to move the ball like kings. Princeton high pick or off ball screen movement for long range shot. They should have traded for jsmoove so he can be their draymond. He was fast, good defender and can pass. The nets team was designed to be a shooting perimeter team they needed an athletic forward who can guard paint and perimeter and be quick coast to coast or cut with explosion
Kid is probably the better overall player but Nash would be perfect in today's game.

Why do you say that, Kidd shot and made more threes than Nash. Kidd games is better for today. Kidd retired third all-time in 3s made.
kalinwang1 Kid retired with a ton of threes made but he really only started making them in the latter part of his career. He also was not as much of a threat from three. He mainly made catch and shoot. Nash could go off the dribble as well. Nash also was faster and a better passer. Nash’s ability to play fast-paced would have fit better than Kid’s metaphorical style.

Curry passed Kidd for the PG with the most threes, not Nash. Get your facts right. Nash even said so himself that he wishes he shot the three more. But then he wouldn't have made the 40/50/90 . The only players that hit more threes than Kidd was Miller and Allen. are you so crazy to believe Kidd hit all those threes late in his career??? lol That makes Old Kidd the greatest shooter of ALL TIME lol. Which we both agree is not the case. Kidds Game is better for today. Assists, Defense threes, Rebounds Steal. WOW his game is better for today.

Overlooked Jkidd's offensive skills and turned franchises around, and made other players around him so much better.
TOP 3 (i think 3 or 4 years ago) ON 3POINTS MADE, ASSISTS, STEALS and TRIPLE DOUBLES (possibly on REBOUNDS for a PG too.)
Mosdef could easily score against Nash 1on1, no doubt.
And lastly, u kind of ignored a fact how Nash tried to follow JKidd on almost everything, from the teams he's played for (Mavs & Suns) and the fact that Nash was juz a "wing" of Jkidd, playing as his backup PG and that would only tookover spot when after Jkidd move on to a diff team.
Prolly learned alot from Jkidd too, passing, 3pointers, and leadership, basketball IQ and offense plays.
So i do believe Jkidd is Top3 PG of ALL TIME!

Damn Nash shoulda went to the Heat instead of LA he woulda got him a ring. Kidd most definitely deserved his ring even tho it was out of his prime he did lose back to back years in the finals to All time greats Shaq and Kobe,Tim Duncan who had way better teams compared to the nets.

Kidd had to carry more of a offensive load then Nash. And it's really evident in this highlight. Both are two of the greatest PGs to ever do it but if I had to choose one I'm taking Kidd. Nash was more fun to watch but Kidd is the better player and plays both sides of the ball. Plus Kidd can thrive in any system and carry a team of scrubs if he has to. I cant say the same for Nash. Kidd was a one man army

In today’s game Nash would probably be even better tbh, he played in a pretty good era and was incredible. This era that highly favors offense (especially at the PG spot) he’d dominate with his passing and scoring efficiency.

one of the most greatest PG duels of all time, both are very superior but if i had to pick, i'd go with Jason Kidd over Steve Nash, because Phoenix never played any defense and Steve Nash was very criticized for not being very defensive as a player since their system never played any
Kidd played on the Nets and now is a asst. coach on the Lakers, Nash played on the Lakers and now is the head coach on the Nets.

The Suns would have made the finals who knows how many times in Kidds crappy Eastern Conference. Nash’s Suns would have smashed Kidds Nets squad that went to the finals. Peak vs peak Nash was way better. However Kidd had the better career.
The statline is obvious on who played better that night. But in general? I think I would take Jason Kidd.

@@christophemaximin337 Wtf have you been watching. Kidd does everything that may not show up on the stat sheet, the hustle for rebounds and defense which far exceeds nash. He's been way more consistent when it comes to being a floor general unlike Nash who only started passing at a high level with D'antoni's offense. Harden proved that. Idk I feel like Nash is the stat guy and Kidd is the one you just have to see. But you said otherwise..... interesting
