7:29 was ridiculous, you have to slow it down to .5 or .25 speed to fully appreciate the brilliance. Calculated and executed all of that in half a second Man he was an unbelievable passer, with flair too

I wished back then that 2K (or NBA Live, I don't remember what I was playing during that time) would allow alley-oop passes from inbound because it would look sick and better than 0.6 buzzer beaters. Jason Kidd made it possible and I was in awe when I saw this on TV. Then, 2K added it on their next NBA 2K installment. XD
Greatest passer in history, only reason Stockton has more assists, pick and roll with Karl Malone. It was so much easier for him. Not saying anything bad about Stockton, he was amazing. Just think Kidd was a little bit better.
I don't think the reason for Stockton was the pick and roll with Malone ...... he was constant and consistent in ordinary assists in ordinary team plays But rarely he lighted up fire with some special pass and some special vision of a particolar situation of game...in brief rarely he create something from nothing...... what Jason was more able to
The clip starting at 9 seconds in is great. If you look closely, you will see that Kidd threw off THREE defenders by looking back toward the three point line, then hits the cutter with a no look behind the back pass for an easy bucket. @@BlermanBlerman-dz8mi 7-1 ? 1958-1962-1970-1994-2002...
@@TheZemaster99 but was it 7-1 on their home turf?
I remember seeing Kidd in high school @ some invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC. He played the exact same way back then. He came out the box like that
Legend!
I saw him play at Cal. He was astounding.
every time when there is a steal, VC and Jefferson were like 100m race for 2 points. :)
And Kenyon Martin
7:29 was ridiculous, you have to slow it down to .5 or .25 speed to fully appreciate the brilliance. Momentum taking him out of bounds, half a second... still enough time for him to read the court and look off the defender to the wrong way and make the pass after waiting for the defender to bite on his lookoff and make the pass a no-looker just in case the lookoff didn't work. Calculated and executed all of that in half a second
Man he was an unbelievable passer, with flair too
Then strength to throw that bullet while turning away and falling back 😵💫
NBA players are so strong, people used to call them all skinny twigs have no idea, they’re made of steal.
You will never see a purest pointguard like him ever again in this nba era
Ben Simmons.

After watching this I think it’s disrespectful to compare Lonzo Ball to Jason Kidd. Damn... he was unique!
Ivan Mendoza you heard the commentors say they're daring him to shoot yes?Flashy passes don't mean you're better than someone else. The comparisons are very valid. They both couldn't shoot coming in, but impacted the game all around. It's pretty exact to me.
Star Wizzy exactly they are the new mj and kobe in therm of similar game but lonzo is less flashy, maybe cuz he’s a rookie and he play safe
ruclips.net/video/Vo8wNzzymK0/видео.html
It’s not really two good pass first players both struggle shooting early bigger sized guards it’s not a bad comparison but on the flip side I can understand what you mean
What do you mean? They are both high IQ, great court vision, pass-first point guards. Although Lonzo needs to develop much more before comparing to Kidd’s basketball genius. Hopefully, he doesn’t develop Kidd’s off-court mischief.

That look on Yao's face. It's priceless. 😁😁
That’s his regular face 😐
10:15 telepathic level teamwork; he doesn’t even glance Carter’s way after the steal
"It's no-look pass, which means... *he already looked."* 👌😎
Mark Jackson commentary is gold "you don't do that to my nephew!"
Kidd and white chocolate were so creative with the assists good times back then
Williams not even in the same class as Kidd as a passer tbh.
@@robk6831 You stupid asf!!! J-Will is actually better and way more CREATIVE
@@robk6831had the white chocolate spent about another seven to eight seasons in the NBA, he might be. There's so much potential that Williams did not showed
Dying breed, pass 1st point guard.
Lonzo Ball bro, I just hope he don't suck for the entirety of his career and be used well
pickettmichael this was somethin else. It was blind pass first pg
I know yall aint forgot about my boy Rubio

@paul reboca okay boomer
god damn i love the power Kenyon Martin had in his prime
The dunk he did over Jermaine O'Neal was one of the worst I've ever seen.
Christopher G. at first I thought he was Carter
yeeeah and so much swagger too when he lands after his dunks !
Forreal!!!!
Kenyon Martin was trash. Kidd made him look decent just like Nash made Amare
Kenyon Martin. One of my favorite in game finishers of back in the day.
Kidd had a game awareness that not many player had achieved and the ability to make fast decisions. It was like he was able to keep perfect track of the other 9 players in the court.
They never won, but damn how I loved the flying circus of the nets
Literally a Flying Circus. 💯
never won a chip but they were pretty good for 5 years
Kobe wouldn’t let them win.
you spelled shaq wrong jackass
Kidd with Carter and Martin would have definitely been a good show
Yao's smile at 11:27 is by far the best. Says it all.
Kinda the most underrated legend of all time. Kinda
Definitely!! That nets team back to back run was so underrated.
Nah Alex English
He is very good rated legend, HOF, and best PG in his era
Dirk
Itz Aiden not really in hindsight he a was a shot bricker
Whats impressive about kidd is how he sets a screen and assist at the same time whenever he makes it on the paint
I remember how I was excited to see him start a fastbreak back when I was in middle school, he is my fav player. I stopped watch NBA after Kidd retired
1:20 The irony of doing that to JWill
Jwill almost got it though.
There are a few on J-Wills highlights where he got Kidd too
オレンジジュース
If without the other angle replays, I couldn't see who received the ball.
Last play definitely one of the greatest moments in NBA history
0:45 - 0:48 Perfect pass + Perfect dunk. Watching Jason Kidd's pass never get old.
I love how Martin always kicked his legs randomly on those alley-oops for no reason. lol
#20 at 5:35 should've been in the Top 10 easily.... that pass was absolutely insane. There was no room for error whatsoever. It was a much more impressive pass than most of the assists that followed it in the video. If you looked up the definition for "thread the needle", that highlight should be there.

Oh yeah? Well #41 at 0:44 should've been in the top 3 easily...that pass was absolutely insane. There was no room for error whatsoever. you're all wrong. it was pass #11. that was the nastiest.
the paper bag she used over your head suggest otherwise
awesome dude, fantastic player. glad he was part of the legendary run.
That bowling ball pass though...
Can't do that too much can easily result in face plant
Hashim Warren classix
Absolutely one of my favorite point guards to watch growing up and truly understanding the concept of team play outstanding basketball IQ that doesn't just involve scoring he can get points when he wants to but making ur teammates better with great passing and at times great rebounding playing defense and set the tone for your team leadership at its 100% best real talk
Me watching through all these: Yeah, they all look like number 1's
Finally get to number 1: ...Wow
I wished back then that 2K (or NBA Live, I don't remember what I was playing during that time) would allow alley-oop passes from inbound because it would look sick and better than 0.6 buzzer beaters. Jason Kidd made it possible and I was in awe when I saw this on TV. Then, 2K added it on their next NBA 2K installment. XD
hahaha same here...
IM at #41....so it gets better?...cant stop rewinding #41😳...like literally⏪on repeat..
Literally 🤩
Kidd,Jason Williams,cp3,white chocolate, rondo,Nash, and ginobili really made passing and getting assists super fun to do and watch.
Those other guys isn’t on Kidd’s level.
I love how the crowd is already in awe and cheering before the shot is made
Greatest passer in history, only reason Stockton has more assists, pick and roll with Karl Malone. It was so much easier for him. Not saying anything bad about Stockton, he was amazing. Just think Kidd was a little bit better.
I don't think the reason for Stockton was the pick and roll with Malone ...... he was constant and consistent in ordinary assists in ordinary team plays
But rarely he lighted up fire with some special pass and some special vision of a particolar situation of game...in brief rarely he create something from nothing...... what Jason was more able to
From a pure passing standpoint, Kidd was waaaayyyy better than Stockton.
Jason Kidd was more fluid and more unpredictable as a point guard
Magic was way better than both lmao.
J will bruh
Jason Kidd is the reason Vince Carter is my Favorite player the Nets were not the Best but definitely the Highlight Of New Jersey.
The clip starting at 9 seconds in is great. If you look closely, you will see that Kidd threw off THREE defenders by looking back toward the three point line, then hits the cutter with a no look behind the back pass for an easy bucket. Incredible show of basketball IQ, and Kidd was probably one of the smartest players ever
Damn. He was good not at knowing where the other players were, but at knowing where they were gonna be next.
The 4 and the 18 are my favorites. C'mon men the 18 was so nasty, Kidd crossed Harper and then crossed Pippen, and the sweet assist. Kidd was a magician.
A great assist is more satisfying than getting the bucket

Best PG of the 21st century! He carried New Jersey Nets to the finals back2back and helped Dallas win a championship!
I love J Kidd and maybe he did help but if Dirk didn't find a different deminsion that year they probley would have lost thier second finals
Steve Nash has something to say about that

Kidd-Martin duo doesn't get enough credit as Stockton-Malone does. Both duo reach the finals twice.
That's because The Mailman is one of the greatest of all time and K Mart is a good role player.
but malone and stockton did it there whole career on top of that
@@kvltizt K Mart was a number 1 draft pick. He was no slouch. Knee injuries slowed him down.
@@dezzyeight2339 KMart was legit but he came from a weak draft class.
@miggy Angel Well yeah to MJ, which is almost as good as winning. The only guy who never lost. Losing to him is not a blemish in your resume.
There should be a special award for this kind of brilliance.
There is such an award, it's called the Hall of Fame.
Kidd is one of the most inspirational team players because of his understanding of the game and his uncanny raw talent 🔥🤯it's like..he's the reason basketball was invented 🏀🎆
Number 7 is incredible. Idk how he even saw Kenyon lurking near the rim with all those bodies.
The crowd's reaction says it all pretty much
When you're only at #40 and you're already saying "God, he's a genius."
Always has been my favorite player. Without a doubt a magician
The best combo of finesse and efficiency

He even got me fooled with those passes from a court side view. I can´t imagine being on the floor trying to defend him.
It's a carter-kidd dynamic duo lol
Kidd-Carter-Jefferson-Martin! Dynamic FOUR!

0:45 That jump pass to Vince Carter for the alley-op in the beginning though!!! 💀💀💀💀💀
What a genius of passing balls! The teammates are so comfortable catching balls from Kidd.
