Legends Of Elumia is a fantasy MMORPG currently playable in an early access state that I’m willing to bet most of you have never heard of, This game caught my one day whilst scrolling Twitter due to its colorful stylized graphics, my first reaction from seeing the screenshots was that it looked like a combination of Wayfinder, Wildstar and Modern WoW graphics… In terms of how the game plays it’s more like a tab targeting version of Wayfinder but extremely rough around the edges, in this video you’ll see my first impressions playing the game from overcoming the massive barrier to entry of actually playing it to running some randomly generated dungeons.
What do think about Legends Of Elumia? Is this a web3 MMORPG with potential or do web3 games still have a long way to go before they're even comparable to normal MMOs? let me know in the comments below!

Raid is just as bad as the game you played in this video. Only difference between your opinion is one is lined with money. Bit hypocritical but I guess you gotta make that bread somehow.
Accepting a raid sponsorship is basically the sign of a dying/desperate channel. Very sad & pathetic.
WHY you even cover such dogcrap of web3 game? this is really big no no sorry Peon.
@@RyJTCthis man is living the best life ever tbf you know he is stacked as hell
I couldn't get into the game but its super popular and is able to pump out as many advertisement like these because of a reason. @@RyJTC
“Your friendlist are tied to the character purchased” that has to be the dumbest idea I’ve ever seen in a game.
Character with Lazy Peon on friends list = $200,000
deciding you class by how much you pay was pretty stupid to begin with
so in other words, it's like joining a fraternity.
The whole "buy your character in order to play" wasn't the dumbest part?
We basically watched Peon get scammed in real time
Well I thought the same when he spent 1000 dollars on Lost Ark.
xDDDDDDD
The second he was like "Apparently I have a guild, apparently I have friends, I have no armor or weapons" I was like oh shit
He can write it off his taxes so no money lost
I mean considering all the mobile games he's been shilling, I'd call that okay.
I would love it if you made more first impressions of bad MMOs, it's funny and entertaining.
I heard there is this pretty good MMO you should try out, The Days Gone.
@@Benjamimic It's not being sold anymore. Got taken off Steam and the company closed yesterday.
Check out Josh strife hayes
@@jmannxiiiaaronpeople got obsessed with how amazing the game is that they have to shut it down to save humanity that wasn't ready for that masterpiece
Try Jos Strife Hayes' Worst MMO series
game looks great. they just need to completely re-do the UI, questlines, character creation, loot, world progression and a bunch of other things
They need to not be a blockchain MMO to begin with
Their unnecessary, stupid, and damaging
@@KimaDarkSoulimagine playing games whilst not even owning your items…. You can play non blockchain games if you like lol
Imagine thinking you own shit you buy in a web3 game. If the devs took the servers down you have nothing... lol@@M28908
Don't forget to sell your character before the dip!
Should have been internet comment of the day 😂🤣😜:p
Looks like a mobile game.
200 dollars!!!
I think you might have bought a character from a person :/
So what does the blockchain integration actually do in this game other than create a comically expensive barrier for entry?
Seems like the NFTs are just an excuse to hike up the box price
Just a guess, but I assume it's for monetizing the characters themselves, especially since they are considered NFT's. Speaking of that, did Peon buy someone else's character that they already leveled up?
You have to pay 150 for an early access game... thats typical web 3.
But i mean at least it... looks kinda nice. The price kills it for me but i feel like the dev actually wants this game to be good (while getting rich off people who buy acces to the game)
Edit:the longer i'm watching the worse it
Ok because i was curious a lvl 2 character (lowest level i could find) costs about 4.3 solana.... doesn't sound much eh ?
1 solana ist about 62 euros
So a level 2 character for this game goes for 269 euros...
You can get
Why are people even developing shit like this, why would anyone like this?! What a waste of time
When I started the video I was wondering why I’ve never heard of this game…after I heard the word cryptocurrency it made perfect sense
thats becuase you have no idea what crypto is, and are still brainwashed.. by liberals
One of the worst MMOs I've seen in a while lol
And the bar is really low.
got to be Mir4 surely lol
The issue with Web3 in most cases is that it is not used as intended.
NFTs containing links to fungible data are not useful. You can just have a much cheaper to run DB do the same stuff.
And the same goes for Crypto ....
"this game caught my eye one day" ... i wonder if 00:02 was the thing that caught it
The graphical style reminds me of Everquest Next. What's sad is Everquest Next could have been amazing, was in development for several years and shut down because 1 guy at the development team said it "didn't seem fun".
it was cool and fun and really? wtf lol
Still sad about EverQuest Next, I remember thinking it looked super interesting, loved the art style too.
Pretty sure all of the complaints you had about this game's UI, zoom, etc, is because it was designed to be a phone game. I haven't looked it up, but definitely the impression I got.
Wrong. It is like this because its in super early stage. Web3 developers are Indie studios most of them. They dont have funds to just throw hundreds of millions of dollars for development. Game are developed over lots of years. Look at Diablo 3 for example. If they would let you play the game after 1 year of development - 99% ppl would hate it and flame on Blizzard for making shit game
Wow... 240 bucks? In the words of my favorite Jedi Master... "Oh, I don't think so.." Lol As always, Love your vids :D
You had me at 'pain in the ass to play'
$250 USD to play an alpha game. This is like a budget version of Star Citizen.
and now he's partnered with them... I wonder how much they must have paid you for that...
Despite the current UI flaws i love the look of it, has so much charm! barrier to entry a bit of a pain but probably best looking blockchain MMO i've seen yet in fairness
Waiting for the TL review 🔥
Editor is soon finished editing it, finishing touches
Your purchase of a lvl 30 to start the game confused me when you complained about a lack of tutorial at lvl 30
I only watched this for two reasons... 1) It's a video by TheLazyPeon, and 2) The graphics in the game are pretty decent. Even saying that, I couldn't sit through the whole thing because the whole time there was a refrain running in the back of my head "the characters are NFTs, the characters are NFTs..." which even further back in my head translated to "this game won't last more than 5 years..."
5 years is generous considering it is pretty much dead already
Same feeling here! Scumbag game devs
Ayyy a new video, lets go!
Game looks interesting- I'm already in the EA struggle with Wayfinder, so I doubt Ill get in early here.
You don't wanna get in at all lol
This game unironcally looks good tho. I’m just a sucker for forests with nice summer vibes. I’d do some chill leveling there
The floor for these heroes is now $400. You can sell your hero for a little profit, so that’s fun. The cost is nothing when you can make a profit. I still haven’t taken the plunge. Doing research, thanks for the data!
Can you do a video about Once Human? I'm trying the beta and it seems very nice :)
why do you want him to make a video on a game you are already playing? doesn't make sense...
@@RealTaIk maybe because i'm curious to know his opinion about that game?
There's no way we just watched Peon get scammed in real time 😭😭
"Web3"
Damn, I already know it would be bad.
The game is under development, you can only play the demo game by joining from the website. Positive criticism to the team will make the main game better. I like the idea of multiplayer where gamers can play and fight together to earn rewards. Great play to earn game in the making.
You paid $200 to enter the game? What? WHAT?! Does this game even have any players? EOS in a single week.
Now you are helping them fix their issues. Hope they get better soon. :D
wow didn't know they still make 2004 games
Thumbs down for putting an add in the beginning
I was trying to listen to the game review but constantly distracted by the worlds loudest keyboard button presses. Dang bro lol
Silent keyboards are your friend when you create content.
Web3?
Blockchain?
Aight thats all i needed to hear, i'm out!
Also, kinda sad hearing about your partnership with this game which has such scummy tactics
You're obviously very dense to blow off new tech just because it wasn't ready in the past. I guess you don't like to own your digital assets. Well, you're going to be forced to like it when you're no longer able to buy physical products.
This game looks already better than AoC
You have no sword or shield equipped in your inventory, yet your character is holding them in their hands. I guess your starter weapon is tied to your class but it's not showing in the inventory, that's so bad. Feels like devs never played a good MMORPG game.
I would love a simplistic mmo like this but NOT this if that makes sense haha Is there anything like this that is good or at least better?
Tarisland might be a good when released.
@@swaangreen9188 thank you! I have this on my watch list. Unfortunately didn’t get into any betas.
Did u try wayfinder?
@@Mckadesarcade I have not, the reviews were mixed so was kind of waiting to see how it played out.
@@swaangreen9188 I wish there was a Tarisland without p2w though. Maybe Corepunk is gonna be decent
Used to watch your videos for some years, but not for a while. Pretty sure the algorithm should be suggesting your content, because I've watched your videos before (no idea why I wasn't subscribed, I am now) and I watch gaming content daily. Not sure what's going on but wanted to let you know.
Love the videos as always! You should do a WoW Season of Discovery video!
Holy shit. Just no Peon
this just in, blockchain game blows ass

I don't get why he keeps trying to compare it to Wayfinder. Wayfinder has actual good combat, just doesn't have that much content and is buggy. This game felt empty.
It’s good for a web3 game tbh 😅
These people are nuts if they think I'd be willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a character that's like a crap lootbox of unknowns.
It's an investment. You make your money back. Have you ever invested before?
So there's 8 minutes left in the video, please Craig tell me you realized there is an "auto attack" option in the option screen that disables that attack back at attacker crap...right Craig? I hope you see that in the next 8 minutes lol
3:34 I always use the name John Smith also. LMAO
Do you know what's more Elumia? My Feet! :3
Love to check it out. But its nearly impossible to get access. 244 people have access to the game TOTAL. Sadly not gonna waste my time.
I wish there was a new good mmorpg. Every mmo is gimped by the game stores. I'm not playing a superficial Korean mmo
So this game uses your gpu to mine while you play?
I don't think this one does, but there are many "Play to earn" where it does. I'm assuming they all tell you, so they don't get sued. But I assume it's like an idle mode. Some you have to do it to get enough buy-in to play the game.
You summed up perfectly every gamers deepest frustration, "Mate, why can't I jump on this rock?" Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha 👍
250$ for whish world of warcraft ...clearly future of gaming xD
Yes agree 100% about this game, lots of potential & upside..low marketcap gem ! ..I expect a 20x-50x this bullrun.... yes needs a bit tweaking here and there , but the community of players is huge... and backed by animoca brands :) 🔥🔥🔥
It is so incredibly clear that anyone making blockchain mmo's couldnt give two shits about making an actual good game, they just want to farm nfts and make money
I will definitely try this out. Casual tab target mmorpg ❤
All I could think of was "AI generated MMO" lol. It seems so souless.
I'm 3 minutes into this video and am so confused at how this game even exists. What the shit is this sign up process.
They should definitely make more customization for all aspects of future games... and game devs should be at least 40 yo before being hired...🤔🤔
It's a shame that this game sucks, it looks really nice
I'm really surprised you'd put this above Traha Global, an actually fully functional game. xD
I laughed when I saw the Menu to "Enter Tandaya Forest", but you then entered "Tandaia Forest". Apparently two different people doing graphics and text, and they can't agree on a spelling.
The UI and Controls are trending towards a Mobile release.
Can you play this game without buying any character with NFL (or however you write it hehe). Since I never did it or will do anything with it?
Tell JoshStrifeHays about it, he'll love to review it
The devs probably thought the escape key literally meant to escape from the game
the inverted scroll is becoming more common as some claim it's more intuitive. As someone that did not grow up with that i completely agree it's annoying xD but i know some can't get used to the scroll that i've grown up with either so idk. Should just be an option to have either.
This game has no chance to be "decent-ish," it is a blockchain game. Good and blockchain are mutually exclusive.
Just something so lonely about an MMO without any players. Even if you like to solo play MMO it's nice to have a lot of players around so the world seems alive.
its empty because its a really early version of the game. In web2 such builds are not even released to the public. They test internaly. In web3 selected players owning nfts can playtest the game.
This is what most ppl dont get it that most of those game are in super early stages
Is the game pay for advantage or not? I don't have time to watch a long video on it just to answer that question.
@@ALERTALERTALERTALERTALERTALERT Thank you.
but honestly isn't it worth investing $300 on this project? since a character costs so much
i got 2 at $45, and sold one at $400 so yeah its worth it, plus made a few hundred selling items and loot
being a web 3.0/NFT game is a non-starter for me. Will never give this a chance.
Ok boys Peon needs the money, raid shadow it is 😂
@thelazypeon are you planning to do Baldur's Gate?
If you wanted a new player experience you should have minted a new character
Why the hell they sell chars for SOL and not for their own crypto
Because SOL has a more stable price. The higher the market cap, the less the price moves.
It looks like Wildstar :O
You have to pay for a character with randomized looks -_-
Peon isnt playing Throne and Liberty?
the last time you talked about Blockchain MMOs and NFTs you were all for em.. doesn't seem like your still of that opinion
is there a class selection?
Looks like a fake phone add
Yo, what happened to your videos? I wanted to make sure there were no "Life as an MMO" videos I missed and your videos section is empty.
BTW pls post more "Life as an MMO" stuff :D
Throne and liberty soon?
Hi. Starting at lvl 30 may seem odd but thats the whole idea of web3 games (owning ur in game assets including characters and monetizing ur time when u decide to stop playing) furthermore u wont have to buy a character on secondary market but will be able to mint it when the game goes live so this is just a choice that i would personally love to have in todays mmos.
Or. Make your own character. And work for levels.
I want you to review Aether Gazer so bad...
You spent $240 on this game? lol
2023 and coming up 2024 and we still have developer-creating static tab target game's with zero way to cancel skills and movement, dev's need to wake up and start understanding that tab target is a thing of the past and a dead/old style, action base games are the way to go and its not like it has to be giga fast like bdo... its just need to flow in and out of every movement and attack skill.
Peon always finds these garbage games no one has heard of, keep it up lol
Me at the start of the video: it looks like a crap mobile game.
Me at the end of the video: it does look like a crap mobile game
Has Peon been watching Eminence in Shadow?
Shit on minimap is flickering as hell like there no AA
This looks like some p2w mobile garbage. How fitting considering the video is sponsored by RAID SHADOW LEGENDS
he had to lower standards to pre-2000 to tell anything good about this game (except predatory graphics)
"This guy sells gear" 🤣
John Smith ...

An MMO I’m currently playing is Palia, it’s more of a laid back “casual” life style game. It’s kind of like stardew valley but in mmo form and without the combat. It’s really cozy and the community is super nice, I like it but I doubt it’s for most mmo players as it’s not combat/fighting oriented.
