Hey! Been thinking about getting back into the game, and boy am I glad I found your channel. Last time I played this game I was still in college, and now as a dad myself I'm excited to get back into it and see all the new stuff.
Hi. at first thanks for the humongus amount of work you have put into this upload. I'm a 20 year veteran in MMO's but my last contact with GW was me in GW1 with my "55life Mo/W" farming Underworld. Looking forward to start GW2 as a ftp. If i like it, wich expansion would be the best to get into first? Is there a server you should better not join (i'm home in EU)? Is the playerbase more chill or more like the M+ in WoW ^^? As an aging dad with my hardcore raiding days with serverfirsts since Vanilla WoW long over i just look for a nice MMO where i can smash some Gitz or chill on a River andm enjoy fishing. Is this game for me? Thx in advance to all wich may answer to that :)
I hope you've tried it in the meantime. But if you haven't, the answer is a resounding "yes, give it a shot"! Servers don't matter, only in World vs World. As for the Expansions, you can get Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire in a "buy-one-get-the-other-free" deal all the time. That is, IF the core game isn't enough for you. That alone is a big chunk though :)
I find necro dagger really good to switch to when the enemies make a approach. I generally like to wear creature's down with the staff, wait for either my minions to get a foothold, or wait till somebody gets too close with low health, and then run in for some fun. Either that, use my staff to fortify an area, slurp up conditions from my team with the plague signet, and then launch it back at whatever caused it.
There is a right way to play engineer, at least in open world. That way is all flamethrower, all the time. If you're in any other game mode, however, this is also the wrong way. My biggest hurdle in playing elementalist was sobriety, or lack thereof. My ele is the second character I made and I was usually playing while drunk at the time. Inebriation does not lend itself to the memorization and coordination you need to swap between attunements at the correct times. I got to level 22 and gave up. Years later I came back to the character while sober and fell in love with it. It's now my main. If you don't have a clear mind while playing elementalist, downstate isn't just going to be part of your rotation, it's just going to be your only combat state.
Brother, after watching a tons of videos to find my class none of them gave me the information that i needed, yours is juste perfect, every questions i had about a few classes are now understand. Ty for ur video it helps à lot !

Well as for that instance, I would suggest looking up low intensity rotations. Just about every class/spec has a low intensity rotation that has only a few buttons that must be worried about. Very straight forward!
