Just wondered if you have checked out the UK weather station at www.instromet.co.uk - 6 different wood types frames to choose from that houses the wind direction, speed & barom. UV, & rain are additional. Electrical cabling only. But pure elegance.. A must see. 👍😊
Is the controller battery powered or what? And can you make the screen display change at all? As in can you make the screen display the wind speed very large or the temp very large? Or does the layout of the display stay the same? Thanks for the video!
Add the 'Weatherlink' data logger/software to view all data on a PC/Mac and log data, create graphs, etc.. Also lets you send data to Weather Underground, CWOP, etc. Nice add-on, about 140 bucks. I prefere the Vantage Pro2 model. It lets you mount the anemometer way up on a mast for more accurate wind measurements. Also has a better rain gauge. About 100 bucks more.
Vantage Vue does not get Temperature right! Because it does not have a fan inside the shield, once the sun hits it, the temperature increases way above the actual value. Get a Vantage Pro 2 instead. Believe me, I bought the Vantage Vue once and had to send it back and ordered a Vantage Pro 2.
How is your console and station holding out 6yrs on? Any replacements, keypad still functioning OK, any detoriation in the brightness of the back light? Thanks for your update 😊👍.
Hi John - I am having some issues with it and have been intending to replace this with a different model. The rain gauge quit working long ago, and now the main unit battery will not hold a charge, so it only works during sunny days when the solar panel is in the sunlight.
Many thanks for your update. Sorry to read about all the glitches. Still interested to know if your consoles brightness has detoriated? Also if the keypad is showing any signs of wear and tear or if when pressing down on the keypad there's a different feedback than when new? So do you not recommend it and what is going to be your next weather station and why? Thank you so much. I really enjoyed your very frank video. I truly hope you make another one about your problems encountered and showing us close up and also of the console 👍😊 Keep up the great work. Best regards John.
@@johnchabad8855 I haven't had any issues with the indoor keypad. I keep it plugged in all the time, but rarely need to push the buttons so they are still like new. The backlight is plenty bright, but I usually keep that turned off because I noticed leaving it on influences the indoor temp readings.
@@ModernSurvivalists Thank you so much for that, so what do you intend purchasing next and why that specific model? Thank you so much again, really do appreciate it. 👍😊👍
Greetings. I forgot to ask you. How much history datas worth in days, weeks, months or years can be stored or not stored after each day, without using any external wifi device? Thank you for your prompt response 😊🙏 Best regards John.
Nice.but the wind is not gona be accurate unless your sensor is really high that's how mine is I have mine about 45 feet but it really should be higher
My wind cups speed clockwise but it is not being picked up via console .. if they spin counterclockwise (which it dont unless i turn it that way) it reads on the console..
