- I finally broken my Kingfish PB and this time is legal! Recorded at 66-67cm kingfish broke my previous record 62cm.
Botany Bay has known for its bustups but this was the craziest ever! I was merely just in the right place and the right time when this happened.
Gear
Rod = Emeraldas X86ML
Reel = Emeraldas Air FC LT 2500DH
Main = Daiwa J Braid X8 8lb
Leader = Sunline FC 10lb
Lure = Zman Slim Swim blue glimmer 2.5inch with size 2 hook. 3.5gram jighead.

Thanks bro. This place hit n miss to be honest. Usually gets wild after or during the rain and high tide. The fish there also not to be consumed due to the housing close by with sewerage and the locals tried some of them and didn’t taste good.

Very good my man, I lost some good fish there in winter 80cm on 12lb after big fights.. had him tired on top and I didnt watch my line and dragged into a rock hahaha!

Amazing achievement to catch such a large fish on eging set up, well done on the release too. Not to be one of those people that pick the tiny negatives from a video but I just want to share some advice to you. If you are planning to release the fish it is best not to hold it by the gills.

definitely no bro, I was after Trev/bream/flathead. The king was a surprise! Truly amazed how this rod/reel can handle such big fish
How to you make the fish tired?
By letting the fish run out but with moderate amount of pressure on your reel. It’ll grow tired after a while and it’ll semi floating on surface.
What jig head did you use?
Hey mate. Just any jighead will do size 2 or 1/0. I used 3.5grams.
