@jackybui5628 I understand in some cases. 1. This is a very small ledge so limited people can fish and I don’t want to risk missing out on a position 😂 2. More people usually means more rubbish 3. It’s a dangerous spot to get to and can be dangerous to fish. I don’t want to be responsible for putting someone in harms way Sorry! Hopefully you can also understand 😊
Look around market place. Don’t need to be a new model. You can also use your phone. It’s a massive learning experience so I suggest starting cheap and getting lots of practice with filming and editing. Definitely doesn’t come naturally!
Great vid mate, was very impressed with the nano cranx set up, handled like a boss, I own one myself n paired it up with a Saros 4000, very under rated rod, you just got your self one new subscriber 🤙🎣
Congrats man! Came to the land down under from the states hoping to catch a big fish from the rocks as it has always been my dream to catch something off the rocks but had no idea where to fish. This makes me want to come back with even more determination. 🎣
I guess it depends what I was fishing for and what type of lures I was using :) I sometime use conventional reels here as well and sometimes even fly combos
I think value for money it’s a great reel. But I think after a few big kings it will for sure put some ware on the reel. You’d want something with heavier duty components as you’ll probably end up bending the shaft or breaking some teeth in the gearing.
Thanks for your input mate. Unfortunately I. South Australia (metro) we don't have these kinds of ledges less than a few hours drive. Planning on making a trip soon I want the right gear incase I hook a decent fish!
Great session, mate! I'm a drummer fisherman and as the shadows cast across that wash to the left, I couldn't help thinking how good it looked for pigs and what a bit of bread berley would do.
I appreciate you looking out Vince. I usually wear a life jacket but I hadn’t put it on before having a few casts. Next time I’ll be sure the put it on as the first thing I do when I get to a spot. Because as you saw there was a particular moment where it was particularly dicey!
Amazing spot. Can i know please it even more amazing ❤
Thanks mate! But sorry, I don’t kiss and tell 😅
@@LandBasedKnights i see many people are do not like to share location. I do not know why lOLs

Nice action. Nice ledge, let me guess, it's in Australia? 🤪
Thanks man! Haha you’re exactly right. It’s the northern beaches of Sydney :)
That PB was almost a Hoodlum!....well done mate!
Cheers mate! Hopefully the next one is a meter plus hoodlum 😍
glad to come across this channel, amazing catch and patience with landing that first king man, good stuff🤩🤩
worth a shot asking for where this is at?
Cheer Buzz appreciate the support mate! It’s the northern side of Sydney :)
@@LandBasedKnights thinking of getting into buying a go-pro to make content but, thats some moneys

Thanks Peter I appreciate it mate! The nano is such a gun rod. It’s been in my arsenal for a while now and caught many fish :)
@@LandBasedKnights thanks for the reply mate, I checked out a few of your vids, very entertaining, love your attitude, what line do you run on ur nano
Haha cheers Peter! I’m currently using Nomad Panderra in 20lb with FC Rock 25lb fluorocarbon leader
Amazing effort bro well done!
Cheers mate! I appreciate the support :)
Excellent catch mate thought you're going to lose it for sure those rocks are rough as on that line
Thanks mate! Was a close one. The line at one point caught on the barnacles on the front face of the ledge. I’m glad the leader held out 😁
Awesome video bro, subscribed 👍👍👍
Cheers for the support mate 🍻

Cheers mate! Next time you’re visiting hit me up :) I would be more than happy to take you on a tour of some of the spots we have on offer!
Nice work!
Thank you 🙌
Epic session - well done!
Appreciate it Michael! One to remember that’s for sure :)
Good job
Yooo if you were to fish in California would you use a conventional reel? Or stick to spinning?
I guess it depends what I was fishing for and what type of lures I was using :) I sometime use conventional reels here as well and sometimes even fly combos
What the rod you using and the lure?
It was a Shimano Cranx 9’ and a Halco 55g
Nice sesh mate
Cheers buddy 👌
What braid were you running on the nasci? Great vid man
Cheers Joel. I’m running Nomad Panderra 20lb on the Nasci and Tasline Elite 40lb on the Slammer
@@LandBasedKnights how do you find the nasci for bigger kingys? I've got 20lb on mine now thinking of bumping up to 30-40lb a d using on heavier rod

Maybe one day when the pelagics are bitting I can give the drummer a go :)
@@LandBasedKnights They're good fun and great eating.
Awesome catch mate.
Looks like you were fishing alone, I’d suggest wearing a life jacket when fishing alone. Looked dicey there on a few occasions.

Thanks unbelievable mate!! Is that just out of south heads? What a bloody dream catch!!
Cheers Geoffo! It’s around there for sure :)
Geeze mate, lifting that last fish in on the Raider had the heart going. Those things have a very special place in my tacklebox
They’ve been in the tackle box for a very long time. I’m always glad to finish a session without having lost any haha
Nice yellowtail
Cheers mate!
Is this in Sydney bro ? Nice catch man !
Yeah it’s in Sydney man :) appreciate it mate!
Looks around curl area
Not far off!
@@LandBasedKnights cmon tell us at this point, nobody it's gonna catch your fishes they decide! 😅🎣
Can i join you next time brother?
It’s not always this good! But maybe one day we’ll find each other on the ledge 😁
Do you know how to swim bro? You almost ended up in drink!!!!
Almost! I’d say I’m a pretty strong swimmer. I’d be more concerned about the amount of sharks that have been around lately!!
@@LandBasedKnights just curious are you wearing cleats?, and maybe consider a waist PFD etc....Don't be on the news.....
Great catch, but seriously dude wear a life jacket!
I should be mate. Thanks for looking out :)
