Nice action Alex, I like the way you were swapping and changing rods to match different species to target Nice work mate!!!🎣🎣
Thanks mate
Always a good idea to have that lighter spin outfit ready on standby just in case
Great fishing, Alex! Love seeing a a good Kingfish session, they’re great fun to catch!
Great work as usual Alex, you got a mixed bag there mate. I love your videos always good action to be seen.
Awesome Alex - both your demonstration of skill and the mesmerising force of the powerful ocean swell!
Thanks Frank it was a hairy day to fish swell was bigger than what it looked like on the vid.
Wonderful time fishing. Great video maestro. Love your energy and passion.
Hey mate thanks for mentioning you enjoyed the vid. Seas weee nasty on that outing. Fishing the front had to be aborted earlier on haha
Lovely winter session mate, good to see the videos rolling again :) !!
Thanks Mark
Things get in the way but you just have to find time some how for a fresh vid.
Cheers mate
Good vid mate enjoyed it looks great water for blackfish and drummer to alex .👍😀♥️
Thanks heaps mate
High energy water great for bream and pigs. Although there are better spots for the pigs.
That's a nice place your fishing
Yes it is a nice place to fish but pretty dangerous too
Great stuff Alex your exuberance is infectious
Miss watching your talks on rock fishing at khacc
I used to enjoy doing the seminars at the KHACC and other clubs and tackle shops.
Thanks for mentioning mate
Great vid Alex ! +1 for standby outfits 👌🙌😉
Thanks mate appreciate you mentioning. A must if your spinning for kings having that spare light outfit ready to roll 👌
Love it Alex good seeing you!
I saw you at the Manly rocks just coming back from your fishing! Sadly you said it was quiet but these vids give me hope these still fish out there during the winter! Glad I found your RUclips channel :)
Yes it happens to all of us. Occasionally we have bad outings.
Top rock fishing there Alex but i reckon you may stop using the garfish after a while, cause the plastics on a good day they will out fish bait ,plus a bigger matched Jigheads will get Snapper Jewy on the bottom etc on the right day...
Hey George
Maybe I will and maybe I won't. The gars work really well. I have caught kings up to nearly 24kg on lures in the past.
Great fishing mate, 👍👍👍
thanks mate cannot get enough of catching kings
Gonna head there this week to try for some bonnie as it's my target at the moment! Dunno how you got up to that high spot there but that's fantastic. This has motivated me to hit the metals!
Hey, do you mind sharing this spot with me. I would like to try catching some kingfish from there.
absolutly go for it till about June try the OT Jig 30-40 gms
Damn, that looks like fun. Fishing here in Ireland is great, but hell I'd love to chance my arm on a bit of that down under. The water looks perfect.
I have Welsh and pommie mates and they tell me the fishing can be pretty good back in the UK Yeah pretty exciting fishing, and dangerous as well. And great water as well 👍
Wow great stuff 🎣! What weight jighead do you use on the jerkshad?
Nice session Alex 👍👍
Thanks very much a pretty good session👍
My friend Jim Bardman like to catch salmons. He said they tasted like chickens. He like it a lot
Aussie salmon are pretty under rated fish. Although I prefer the smaller ones up to about 2 kg.
Jim Bartman sounds like a guy who knows his way around a slimy salmon.
@@AlexBellissimo hi Alex where was this fishing spot...
Great Video Alex!
Thanks heaps mate. The bait junkies worked the best on the day 😊👍
Awesome session as always 👍
I'm using the same combo, seajigger paired with bg mq 😀
Thanks heaps mate. Yes that seajigger and reel combo is great 👍
Alex now i know what seajigger you are using you had no trouble lifting fish with it the other rod is very powerful can use up to 60lb braid with it. Hey should of put the bonnie under a balloon maybe you would have caught a big king would of gave the saltist a good test great video nice day too.😀🐟
Hey Brett
That seajigger is in the description. It is a 6-9kg so only suitable for 10kg braid approx. and yes that Bonnie would have been great for a live bait for a much larger king for sure.
Great video
Thanks mate. Appreciate you liking the vid cheers
Hi Alex, would you use your Daiwa OverThere for metals and stickbaits like you are using your Seajigger here? Or is it unsuitable for that?
Keep up the videos, I love your enthusiasm!
hi there
the over there is fornup to 12kg roughly line class max he seajigger is a better lure rod faster action
@@AlexBellissimo Thank you Alex!
Great vid mate, hey what’s the weight and size of the jighead you got on the soft plastic here?
Thanks mate
jig head weights from 1/4 to 1 oz cheers
Hi Alex,
I would loved to see what might have happened if you had popped that first small bonnie back out wearing a bridle . . . Are there decent kings still in close in early July ? This time of year I have only ever seen the bigger kings (~10kg or better) on deeper reefs (50 - 80 m or so). What about Yellowfin tuna these days? I have heard of a few been taken off Sydney in the last two weeks. Do they come in close near the Sydney platforms or do they only stick out wide? When I lived in JB we used to see the odd one taken off the cliffs there.
Cheers,
Gavin
Yes would have been an awesome live bait for sure. You can still get large kings in July. But can vary from year to year.
The Slug Go is the same long skinny plastic.
Yes it is 👍
Hi Alex Thanks for the chat yesterday. What shoes do you wear on the rocks. Nigel Hunt
Hi Nigel
Yes great chatting to you as well
The low cut Adrenalin steel spike boots. They retail around $55-60
@AlexBellissimo thankyou for responding to my enquiries. I find your videos both informative and truly inspiring
Great stuff Alex, your vids are awesome!
What are the Seajigger rods like to use ? Can you use them for bait fishing??
Thanks heaps Peter
The seajigger is in the description. Please check it out. And yes you could use it for bait fishing but it is a fast action so not as sensitive as a Over There 109MH z rod
Great video Alex
Just wondering what retrieve you were using for the jerkshad?
The water looks blue might be why there are tuna still around.
Yep good quality water on the outing. But still very late for the Bonnie's kings no so much
Tassie size limit on kings is 45cm
Haha that is a pretty small fish. But the vast majority of kings they catch in Tassie are small too
5:50 Alex you hit that rat on the head lol
BCF has $5 soft plastic sauries for sale
Hey thanks Lance I will check them out
Cheers mate
Alex great video, wish you did more of them?
What rod and reel combo were you using for the kings ?
It's description daiwa salist hyper 4 to 6pe daiwa bg 5000 have the same set up good combo😀👍
Sorry was mean to type the gear, it is in the description. Thanks for liking the vid very much appreciated mate.
What size jig head water you using Alex?
I was using a 1 oz jig head Unfortunately on the outing I should have had heavier, accidentally left them at home.
Nice one Alex! Mate, what size Jighead are you using for the plastics in this video?
Thanks Chris
I am using a one oz jig head. You can use up to one and a half or even two.
@@AlexBellissimo In regards to hook size, are they a 3/0, 4/0 ?
To be scientific about it, in the internet age, broadcasting this local style of fishing, at readily identifiable spots, even on a small scale of 4000 views, has huge potential to overpopulate the ledges, especially over time. We should be conscious of that as decent stewards of the rocks. The federal government is bringing in another additional 200,000 skilled workers alone this year. The point being that the population is increasing in additional to encouraging the existing population to fish, compounding the issue. Recreational fishing licenses, like commercial, will eventually go on tender before the start of each season and sell to the highest bidders.
