Luring is an addiction I've had for 50 years, large barramundi jacks mangrove, flathead, 🐙 squid, trevally all types, big Spaniards Whitsundays, even large coral trout 80klms offshore 😅😂 ❤ cheers 🍻 and tight 👍 lines 😊
Good stuff Josh. My best from that rock platform was 37 Bonnies, 3 salmon and a lone tailor. One March morning a fair while ago. Can smell the salt and hear the excitement in your voice. Hope you catch a thousand more.
Hey Josh, absolutely loving the rock fishing. Went out the other day and caught some bonito and mack tuna so the pelagics are definitely around. Saw some big bust ups. Keep up the vids mate 👍🤙
What a way to bring back memories of the Sapphire Coast of NSW. On holidays many years ago when I was introduced to “spinning off the rocks” for bonito and salmon. It was on the headland at Tura Beach and was using a silver slice lure. The only tip given was to cast as far as I could , let it hit the bottom, then wind like the dickens….You certainly knew when they hooked up. Used a lot heavier line than you Josh so I could only imagine how much fun these would be on the lighter gear. Thanks for another wonderful video promoting some wonderful memories. Unfortunately the rocks are the last place I would fish these days due to physical issues. Keep up the good work Josh and I look forward to your next video.
@@joshdfishing once I hooked a Biiiig one and it took an hour to get it to the shore..it was a tiny octopus and it held tonns of rocks 😂🤣 After it I hooked a fish, it was so hard to get but in 5 minutes it was infront of me..it was an 142cm eel..I was shocked and from that time I know anything can happen! 🤗
I just finished cleaning all my gear from fishing today at altona pier, caught nothing but banjo sharks. and a new vid up.. perfect timing. Great content as always man.
Thanks for the vid Josh, my grandson loved it, especially when you added another Wally to the list 🤣 It certainly is a busy rock face there. Looking forward to the next vid, catch ya there 👋🏽
G'day Josh. Firstly love the vids mate. I've only just subscribed but I'm hooked (pardon the pun). Always liked fishing but was a firm bait user, but since watching your videos I've not only renewed my interest but decided to really have a go at lures and soft plastics. Not a lot of success yet but probably more user error than anything else. I'll keep trying. Great videos mate, keep up the good work and tight lines👍
Aw Chris mate that’s awesome to here. Glad my vids could give you that little boost to pick back up the rods and flick some lures around. Catching fish on lures to start is tough. But just keep flicking and the fish will come👌🏼
Good video Josh , one thing that I do is upgrade the split rings and get rid of the treble hooks. Replace them with owner or daichi single hooks and your catch rate will increase , its harder for them to throw the single hook and they cant use the opposite hook as leverage like they do with trebles . The other thing you can do is tie your line to a mustad ultrapoint fastach clip size 3 or 4 and you can change lures super fast during a hot bite, I also use the same setup spining the beaches. Hope this helps mate from an old salty ! 👍👍👍
Great vid got tide. Just watching I don't think I would get my walker down there just one question if that's all right do I need to do lope nots on my plastic new to this going to hit the river this week coming thanks for the vids keep up the good work...
Amazing. I would love to hit the rock ledge but parents dont allow me. Currently fishing of sydney harbour rocks. slowly working up to the ocean rocks.
Hi Josh, just the old codger here to thank you for another stand up video son. Sorry to hear about your recent health issues but, trust me, you need to look after yourself first. Your viewers are patient souls, well still be here waiting for your next upload. By the way, the Mrs says sorry for the 12yr old girl thing. She reckons that if you'd got hairy legs or something she'd have copped on sooner😂 100K is on it's way lad😉
Hahahh old hairy legs🤣🤣 Cheers John, I’m looking after myself more these days and just uploading as often as possible. While still having fun and having days off for myself. Nice video mate! how far roughly are you casting that 40g lure. How do you find that rod with working jigs and top water lures? I'm looking to buy a rod for throwing lures from 15g to 50g roughly. Any recommondations
Hey Josh, love the vids surely your arms would be dead after using the jigs 😅 Have you got any vids on soft plastics Grubz for bream? I really want to get the hopping technique down. I have been a bit frustrated chasing Bream on plastics, so I switched to hard body lures absolutely love the atomic hardz crank bait 38mm in the muddy prawn, that's gotta be my go to hard body lure. Tight lines mate! 🎣🤙
Yeah my arms were feeling It the next day😅 and I have a bunch of bream videos up on the channel but non using grubs. I just don’t seem to get as much on grubs as I do say for crank bait and paddle tails🤷🏼♀️
@@joshdfishing Hey Josh, yeh I can only imagine when your jigging lures do you have to be in deep water? As for the bream yeh I'm in the same boat as you with the Grubz I've only hooked 6 bream on Zman Grubz, apparently though the yellow fin bream are more aggressive compared to the black fin bream that could also be why we aren't having as much luck using them. I've also noticed when you use the Grubz people say to have a bow in the line, but I've found it more helpful to have a right line that way you can feel the slightest bites. Tight lines mate! 🎣
Just the usual egg wash a bread crumbs. It’s a more dry fish but still tastes amazing. Super soft flesh before being cooked that goes a bit dry. A bit of Mayo makes it better
