  • Up and down the NSW coast has a lot of awesome ledges for snapper. Sydney snapper fishing off the rocks can be a hard gig but still holds reasonable numbers if you fish it in the right conditions. Nice bag of reds and that big fish I hooked running me till I had only a metre of line left.
    Some Great Action!

    What an incredible piece of footage and true demonstration of what to do when a fish reefs you and how to wash a good fish out in a strong sideward surge (not an easy task). I would also like you to tell your wife what a great job she does on the camera - she manages to capture the moments well, the wash, the swell, fading light etc and it all amounts to great viewing, Alex!

    Nice trip Alex gd bag.luckily the swell behaved.unlucky on the monster.
    Ive once had that same scenario.
    Oh look a seal next minute spool empty and also broke at the leader.we know it wasnt the seal though it was too far to the left just as yours was.

    • @AlexBellissimo
      @AlexBellissimo  Год назад +1

      That's right it was not the seal. Besides it would have surfaced , where this fish stayed deep and over a ledge about 150-200m out. Thanks for watching.

    Great snapper session Alex. Had a monster on once too in really shallow water. Was using 30lb mono and prawn as bait. Did a close cast near the reef and off it goes, I had no chance to even stop it or turn its head. No clue what it was?

    Alex, would it be worthwhile having a go with a bobby cork and pilchard bait? I ask this as I am a novice with rock fishing and not sure how to “manage” the bait like you do.

    • @AlexBellissimo
      @AlexBellissimo  Год назад +2

      Hi Mark
      Yes you could do that but float fishing has its own pluses and minuses like a running ball sinker to the hook rig has. f you can book me for a rock fishing trip. I can show you how to do it right.

    Your fishing spot is so beautiful, why not use fake bait? or shore jig? and if you soak live bait, you have to use a stiffer rod, a bigger machine, a higher load capacity, a big pe line, a big rope, then you want to conquer big fish. Wish you soon success with your suggestion, and soon more great videos.

      Hi Hai
      Thanks for your advice. But I am specificity fishing for snapper with 7kg setup. In this video snapper was my target specie. Generally when I specifically target kings I fish heavier gear for larger kings.
