    hey man nice vid. i'm new to fishing, do you think a 2-4kg rod and a 2500 reel would be enough for the fishing style/type like you did in this video? thanks

    • @indosydneyfishing
      @indosydneyfishing  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Liam. It’s quite risky to be honest since mack tuna quite strong fighting fish. I would recommend 4-8kg and 3000-4000 reel for the light/medium setups for these type of fish. Minimum 16lb leader.

    • @liampokharel1084
      @liampokharel1084 2 года назад

      @@indosydneyfishing thanks! With braid, is it preferable to be strong or weaker than leader? Or is it always best to use braid same strength as the leader?

    • @indosydneyfishing
      @indosydneyfishing  2 года назад

      @@liampokharel1084 my personal advice, you can use stronger leader. For example your braid 16lb, leader 16-25lb if you after salmon/mackies/rat kingy. You can always use lighter leader 10lb if you decide to hunt for flathead/tailor/bream/trevs. Hope this helps 🤙

    I don't fish because I suck at it and my kid has the attention span of 10min 🤣. I've come to this spot once and saw lots of other fishermen. How long is a normal session for you?

    • @indosydneyfishing
      @indosydneyfishing  Год назад

      I’ve spent an hour and half usually in the afternoon after work on weekdays. There were many days where I’ve caught nothing. When the fish around usually it can last for couple days In this spot. After that it’ll disappear again 😂

    Hey mate so do you let the lure hit the bottom, and then you basically just jig or lift up your rod for tree to five times and pause and let it sink back down?

    • @indosydneyfishing
      @indosydneyfishing  2 года назад

      Exactly. Sometimes you can also retrieve slowly after you jig

    When you use a snap swivel or swivel do you attach it to the jig or the split ring( the one with the assist hooks) thnaks

    • @indosydneyfishing
      @indosydneyfishing  Год назад

      I don’t use split ring for light setup. Just straight snap swivel to the jig 🤙

    Hey bro, thinking of getting palms lures soon, is it normal for any 20g for shallow water like this? I always fish around georges river and cooks bridge.

    • @indosydneyfishing
      @indosydneyfishing  Год назад +1

      I wouldn’t really recommend jig on cook or george river unless you know the spot reasonably well (snagged spot) otherwise you’ll end up losing them a lot.
