I am so sick of cute cardis ive bought NOT having pockets!!! This is exactly what I'm looking for! I want to add pockets to all my clothes... I can't believe how easy you did that! Using the end thread to sew it is so clever! I don't think I'll be able to find exact matching thread for commercial stuff but as you say 'hey that's art'. This zero crochet-er will give it a go! Perfect thank you!!
oh that's great to hear! Have fun crocheting your pockets!🤩🤩
Great rule of thumb for where to place the pockets by using the fall of the sleeve as a guide! 🙌🏽🧶😊
Glad it helped you:)
Thank you forgot to put pockets and this saved my lifeeeee😊
Ah! Wonderful:)
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you ❤
Oh wonderful! Thanks for letting me know you found this helpful!
❤Thank you so much for your detailed instructions am going to make 2 pockets for my sweater
Wonderful! Glad you found this useful:)
So I'm designing a cardigan for my grand-daughter. How would I determine pocket sizes for a toddler? Trying to get measurements on a 2 yr. old; let's just say the experience has not been enjoyable. Even while napping she has refused to let me measure her.
I would generally aim to place the pocket wherever her wrist happens to fall when her arms are down. Maybe just a touch higher. So if you refer to my child sizing chart on the Crochet crafty website, you would refer to the arm length and then measure from your shoulder seem all the way down, and that is where I would place the pocket approximately. Like I said maybe an inch or so up from there. you can check out the sizing chart here:www.crochetcrafty.com/bonus-tools.html
Good luck! Let me know how you make out.
Why did mine start wide and then get narrow at the top 😢
Same thing happened to me. Because the fabric is a bit "lacey" it gets easily affected by any change in tension. I find that as I crochet more rows sometimes I get a little tighter. See if you notice any changes with each row and try to relax your stitching in the next row. If you find that tricky to do, try changing up a hook size in alternate rows. That might help even things out. Let me know how it works out for you.👍
