I think it depends on the ingredients. When I make a smoothie, I use more than I would eat. I don’t know any diabetic that is careful about what they eat or drink. I’m always surprised by their lack of concern.
why can't people do both. eat fruits and drink smoothies. things don't have to be this or that especially if they're both not dangerous. i get say smoothie vs packaged drinks. i eat my whole fruit and blend smoothies for my day.
This is how science should be discussed. Dissecting methods and critically analyzing controls, treatments, etc. Love it
The guy on the right is clearly more of a scientist material..
Wow! 😲 I did not expect this result. Fascinating!
A blood sugar spike like that damages your endothelium. You can reduce this by sipping on the smoothie rather than gulping in down in 90 seconds
Do you think you would take me 90 seconds to drink it that's crazy.
Or even have it after a high protein/fatty meal
A great study so we don’t have to worry about sugar spikes and simply enjoy a refreshing frozen smoothie. Instead of ice cream!
I need to find this study!

They're most likely misguided, just like my mom, by doctors. They're told to take the meds and they will be fine.

Smoothly made me faint because my sugar went up crazy with apples pinaple and banana so don't drink your fruits and especially on empty stomach
Interesting conversation
3:37 TLDR: the glycemic response was better in the smoothie
(Counter intuitive right?)
I think amylase and chewing break things down faster whereas drinking does not expose the liquids to amylse
Clarification: was the consumption of the two items the same? Timing wise I mean
Good question
Love that white sweater
These guys are not to knowlegble about the subject they sound like they are confused.
That's because they're remaining open-minded to new information and comparing that critically with their intuition and past-knowledge.
Only doctors act like they know everything. They are just humble
