    I am sorry doctor, I think you are far to know anything about this subject. I tried and experienced statins after my stent … My hb1 was 5,5 before and became 6.0 3 months after with absolutely the same diet , I am on ketovore , One day 2 hours after dinner before taking my crestor 20mg pill , I tested 0.96 , then a took the pill and tested 2 hours after …. It was 1.35 !!!!! To reduce the effects on my blood sugar, I found that taking that pill at the end oh the meal reduces the blood sugar peak, but some days after I stopped this sh*t , because it was too much Side effects on me …. muscle pain , high blood sugar and inexplicable fatigue One another point : they have absolutely nothing to lower your blood sugar , give me just one case of someone who found himself in remission with diabetes medications … none. But he keeps saying take your statins once you start suffer from diabetes , he he sends you back to the endocrinologist. And forget about you

    I would be glad if you could touch on several things in the next videos: 1. Why is linoleic acid the most common oxidized fat in plaques? And why isn't this fact put a big red flag? 2. High omega-6 to omega-3 ratio has been linked to higher CVD mortality. How is this fact addressed? 3. There are animal studies showing that after long-term exposure to seed oils, the antioxidants' capacity decreases, and eventually, we see higher oxidative stress levels, we don't have human RCT to show that since it takes years, but isn't these animal studies should put a red flag on antioxidant depletion effect from these oils? 4. These oils are made using synthetic chemicals. Even though we don't know the health consequences of these chemicals, isn't it better to stay away from those and recommend on cold-pressed oils? 5. Refined oils are empty calories without any health benefits. We do see in population level that over the years, carbohydrates intake did not change so much, but seed oils were significantly increased due to fried foods and processed foods, saying that oils are healthy will be misleading since it make these fried foods legitimate, and they are a big contributer to obesity

    @AI-vs7sm 2 месяца назад

    Yes, he was a great scientist, but, he got the cholesterol bit wrong, and that ,unfortunately, is his black mark. But, I don't know how much his actions are directly responsible. Of the amount of fat in red meat, only about 2% of it is sat fat! Other than that, the list of nutrients is complete in red meat. The real problem here is the push to eliminate meat agriculture altogether, by misrepresenting stats about land use and water use. If most ruminants are grazed on land that is not usable for crops ,that alters the argument quite a bit! Maybe, we should use the crop land to raise more cattle? More bang for the buck! Many people couldn't afford it ,you say? If everyone is growing kale and broccoli, can the farmers make a living on that?

  • @AI-vs7sm
    @AI-vs7sm 2 месяца назад

    Don't take one persons advice alone, look at both sides, plant based, which is nutrient deficient, and animal based ,which is nutrient complete! Vitamins from plants are poorly absorbed, and look for effect of lectins and other chemicals in plants. Investigate for yourself. Most vegans dropped it after five years, so, which diet is least sustainable?

      Three and half years on low carb diet, watching videos from both sides, but, I don't copy down all of the cited papers. I would have a whole library by now. Sounds like a cop out, I know, but so much info available, from either side, that its overwhelmingly! This seems a popular way of plant based arguing , show us the evidence.! But, lifelong vegans vs later life low carb/ carnivore followers is unfair comparison, since, no money in it for pharma or big medicine, nor the Universities! All we have is five million years of practical applications! And anecdotes! Lots of them. But, I will concede to you, hard to show studies, so, point for your side. Sorry.

    So, the main knock on Adkins diet was that it was HIGH PROTEIN! Oh, but, now, it fits your narrative to complain that meat is sat fat ,( which is what low carb, carnivore wants in the first place, but you don't , again it fits your narrative), but, high in protein. And, HORRORS, they are using AI to breed cattle for more fat, sort of like corned beef? Lots of marbling in brisket! Wait, how were they getting them that fat? Oh, yeah, THEY WERE FEEDING THEM CORN,not grass or stalks, which are their natural diet. The same corn that is on the vegan plate! Are modern fruits and veggies altered to make them more hyper palatable? Just anything that you can come up with to push your argument ! There seems to be just as much literature debunking the anti meat arguments as the other way around, your assertion that meat can't be tasty but plants can seems to be reaching a bit. The methane from cows is part of natural cycle, but the diesel emissions from farming is all new carbon ! How about them apples?

    There is a lot of conversation here about omega 6 and fatty acids, but the real health concern of seed oils wasn't discussed. Seed oils are highly refined with caustic chemicals and heat. Simply put, we don't know what process each oil goes through in the manufacturing process. Oils like extra virgin olive oil are simply mechanically pressed, no heat or chemicals are used. I can also successfully cook with extra virgin olive oil in nearly every situation. It's like eating chicken nuggets vs a natural free range chicken breast.

    At 1:30 he says that Apob is CAUSAL! Well, there you have it ,the expert says its causal, so, if you have ANY Apob in your system ,then you will absolutely die! And so far he is right, everyone who has lived has eventually died, so that proves it! Still, you have to wonder how it is that 80 is fine, but,81 ,you are as good as dead, cause, that extra Apob is definitely going to get trapped in artery wall. But, only if they are number 81 or above. Did he mention that Peter Attila put him on a keto diet to lose weight in the past? Didn't help, so, its not sustainable?

  • @AI-vs7sm

    Seriously? OR, it could be , might be, that the fermented food , without any fiber, doesn't cause as much problems, compared to stuffing yourself full of indigestible fiber that isn't going to do anything , except clog up the works! The insoluble fiber won't get digested at all until it gets to the colon, and then not all of it. So, as usual, Dr. Gardner doesn't know that, so, is he running the experiment just for the funding? He seems really good at running trials , only if they will prove his ideas to be right. This didn't pan out, so, he is befuddled. Both of you guys also seem perplexed, maybe because it doesn't fit your narrative either?

    I think that the major knock on omega sixes is that they are used so abundantly in processed foods that the 4:1 ratio with omega three becomes more like 20:1 or more which makes the ratio inflammatory! It is strange that ALL the reasons that plant based industry puts out as "facts", are all refuted by animal based industry! Of course, each side claims that their truths are better than the other guys, but, the numbers that animal side puts up seem more backed in" science", than far fetched numbers that plant based wants us to believe!

  • @AI-vs7sm
    @AI-vs7sm 5 месяцев назад

    Oh, well, right at the start ,he used the phrase" TOTALITY OF EVIDENCE", so, of course, that settled it, the science is settled. Now, if he had said " the preponderance of evidence" then that would have shut down any and all arguments for any sane, rational discussions! Still, there is that nagging argument about cholesterol, in the first place, but, no, he did use the magic incantation, so that's that! For the half of heart attacks that have NORMAL cholesterol numbers that's just an outletlier, instead of an out right lie!

    Interesting that there are NO comments on this" PROOF" that he is talking about. Any " proof" that is put out by plant based is " true" and any rebuttal from animal side is" propaganda! But, animal based Intel seems way more plausible than plant bias. Use any science that supports your ideas and discount any ideas that don't align. Presumably, the microbes being farmed ,by factories is somehow better than natural food , but, I always like to ask the question, if you don't want to be cruel to the animals by killing and eating them, but, you ARE WILLING to eliminate them from the face of the earth altogether, how is that better? No one is going to raise cows or pigs just for the heck of it, unless you are going to " adopt" them and raise them as pets. . Hint: cows tend to hog the bed at night and you will need a REALLY BIG litter box.

    This "Doctor" is just not credible. Saturated Fat is NOT a problem in the setting of low TGs/High. HDL. Saturated Fat is NOT a problem nor is consuming any amount of cholesterol. The problems are the ingestion of too much sugar, too many carbs which are all converted to sugar, and the consumption of "seed oils". I really don't give a good damn about any of these epidemiologic studies. A ketogenic diet that is very high in saturated fat ie lard and beef tallow, a little olive oil, lots of red meat and probably 3 dozen eggs per week has caused my weight to decrease from 208 to 162, my BP to drop to 125-135 systolic over 55 -70 diastolic, my Hgb to drop from 6.7 to 5.4, my HDL to rise from 42 to 60, my TGs to drop from 110 to 150 to 60. My AST and ALT are now both down and are in the midteens and my GGT is 6. I am off Amlodipine for my BP and off Metformin for my Hyperglycemia. I do not give a damn about any epidemiologic studies as they are utterly worthless. I am a retired physician. Bring on Paul Mason MD and Timothy Noakes MD and Zoe Harcombe PhD, and Nadir Ali MD, and Eric Westman MD, and Robert Cywes MD, and Georgia Ede MD and Chris Palmer MD and Ben Bikman PhD.. The goal of cardiologists and doctors generally should be to find a diet that normalizes a patient's vital signs without medicines, that causes the patient to attain a healthy weight without medicines, and to also find a strategy that causes the patient to engage in some reasonable level of physical activity and a strategy that causes a patient to get enough high quality sleep. I forgot that my C-Reactive Protein is toward the very low end of normal. I am a retired physician!

    Very interesting. The typical Japanese diet contains 5-upwards of 12 grams per day. Lots of finger shakers warn of overdosing. What are the implications of too much iodine? Won't the human body just expel what it needs as it does with other nutrients?

    Here’s a discordance… LPA 21. A1C 5.1 Good. TC 188. Trigs 84. HDL 54… LDC 105. LDC Particles 1948 !! Small and medium 302 and 410. But Pattern A which is good. Particle size is large, but Particle number is off the chain. APOB is 98. Am a close to pescatarian mostly plant base. Tried but failed with even twice a week low dose statin because of myalgia/tendon pain. When my FB sugar went up from 83-93 to 105 that was enough. I stopped it. I could not believe the 1948 particle number compared to the only 105 LDL-C. Crazy discordance.

      No. You'd need to supplement. You can use algal oil.

      Do you eat fish every day like the Japanese do? If not, supplementation is beneficial, according to research data.

      Because neither LDL particles nor the cholesterol content thereof are the cause for atherosclerosis. Endothelial damage and immune system dysregulation (by high insulin and by cytokines comming from other parts of the body and concentrating in the arteries) are...
