    I owe you a pint mate, I replaced the fan also the wee hoses, cleaned it up. These boilers are amazing, hope it will go another 30 years. I once had a new generation shiny boiler previous home, what a diva, every few months required some massaging

    cheers mate , top video ! not sure if I feel "safe" doing this on my own, but also I wouldn't see what a certified gas engineer would do any different here. Maybe buy a gas/co detector to make sure there's no leaks after I re-assemble everything ?

    Hi my fan is noisy on my 250 ff so I will need to change it soon, you said you had 2 clips on the top of the front case, did you mean screws because mine has 2 screws at the top and the 2 at the bottom like yours? Thanks

    Great video thank you, just changed the fan on my 350ff using it. What's involved in a service of these boilers, can it be done by a DIYer?

    Hi, I replaced the fan assembly on my Ideal Classic FF250 and also had to change the tubes as they disintegrated when removing them. Now it's not firing up. The fan is working perfectly and the gas valve was changed not so long ago by a plumber. Any ideas as to why its not firing up now? The fan was definitely the issue beforehand but don't know what it could be now!

    Hi again Stevie, just wondering if you're thinking about a video on changing the thermostat sensor harness on an Ideal Classic. I've just changed the PCB as one of the relays was choked up (must have been sparking. There are 2 on the PCB each with 2 contacts. I could see three were clean enough and one was dirty), but it's actually not sorted out the problem of clicking on and off - gas ignites and stays on for a few seconds, then goes back to the pilot only. As there's not much in the boiler I figured it must only be the thermostat sensor or the pressure switch (am I right in thinking that the gas valve is probably OK as the gas is getting through?). The sensor looks easy enough but I've not seen where it actually goes to and from (PCB on the plug end I guess?). Thanks.

    I have this boiler and it keeps cutting out then firing up again. Takes forever to get to the required temperature. I did find the motor was seized on the top of the fan last year so I fitted new bearings which did the trick at the time. What do you think is causing it to keep stopping and starting?

    • @steviemango993
      @steviemango993  3 года назад

      You may need to change the fan . If you can see it the fan moves easy at the top of the motor. Make sure you turn the power off cheers
