Cheers mate! Glad you got it sorted yourself!! This job isn’t for the faint hearted even as a plumber ahha.
Thank you
Great work Dan, it’s great to see you going the extra mile - easier to swap the boiler but for those living with dementia, familiarity and routine is key - a really nice touch. ❤️👍
Cheers mate. Worked out best for both parties in this situation, I didn’t want to be going back forever showing them how to use a new one!
@@Heatking great work - professional and patient too 👍🙂❤️

Cheers buddy 🙏🏽
Made the mistake of changing that cold water main oring before. Put it all back together and had a leak from the back 😂😂 good job mate, it’s definitely one to test your patience.
I’ve also made that mistake 😂😂 I wonder why it leaks when a new o rings put in.. makes no sense 🤷🏽♂️😂
Congrats on the 1k . Well desrved buddy. Looks like a bit of an annoying and awkward repair there too. Great design them woosters.
Cheers buddy! Only got to 1k with you guys help! Was an annoying repair but I could imagine it gets easier the more you do!
Hi, Yes
I cut my teeth on these beasts 20 years ago. My first swap of the diverter went ok, until fill up on the cold, forgot the screw that goes in near the filling link. Floooodddd. Always tried the fix you did. If not passing the diaphragm is easy with some decent tools. Why did the custard want to keep it? Oh and the bypass, do not remove both connections.
Customers daugther didn’t want it changing mate as her mums very elderly 🤦🏽♂️! Do you still have to
Take the plate out to
Change the diaphragm?
@@Heatking Bless you. Yes mate. There was always 1 screw on the diaphragm housing I couldn't get back mind you. Didn't leak, so never bothered when I did the others.
@@56ty78ui nice one mate, didn’t know that!
Great video thanks. I have a 28CDi with a current problem of no continuous hot water upstairs in the bathroom and it goes warm then cold and warm again annoying when having a shower. All Bathroom taps do the same.
I had the diverter valve changed about 3 years ago. I have looked underneath the boiler to see if the needle on the Diverter valve moves across to hit the micro switch that lights up the hot water light and it does. Does that mean the Diverter valve is working OK?
Or could my problem be an Airlock?
Central heating works OK . Hot water is only hotter when central heating is on.
I’d be looking at the plate heat exchanger on the mate. See what the boiler temp goes to when running a hot tap. Plate heat exchanger is probably blocking up.
@@Heatking Thanks for your reply. Managed to get a Heating Engineer to look at the boiler today, and yes you are 100% correct, he's going to order a new Plate Heat Exchanger. Thank You!
@@mikeliv8827 anytime Mike, just glad it’s getting sorted for you 🫶🏽
Dan, at least you tried buddy, 😊
Got there in the end mate ❤️
@@Heatking 😀 ❤️
🤘😎🤘
My fellow North western mate ❤️
I could have told you it's a new boiler when you get them you will always recreat working on them lol
Haha this one went ok 👌🏽
@@Heatking just don't turn the bulk head valves ather wise you will regret it lol
I hope you liked geofferyneedstraining vid we all watch before doing this 😂 it ain’t too bad really is it. I wouldn’t take out the pcb myself tho next time
😂😂 to be fair I’d done these before his video but I did have a refresher with his video and that’s where I pinched the ptfe on the cold feed idea 😂😂
@@Heatking honesties the best policy bro, love it. I had a refresher with him too 😂
@@plumbertime oh yeh mate, I’ll always own up to me copying haha
@@Heatking ❤️
Well done. More videos like these 👍🏽 What did you charge for this job?
Divertor £150, labour including first visit £220
@@Heatking Fair Price.
@@umark6695 was quite too heavy for me but I really didn’t want the job 😂 I’ll try get more of these type videos, all depends what comes in 👌🏽
@@Heatking I know what you mean. There's always jobs/repairs that you regret taking on. If you get stuck, you really get stuck!
Where you based mate ?
Near Manchester 👍🏼
I hope ya charged 400 quid labour, how long did it take ya pal
Haha £220 labour mate. And it took about 1hr 45mins Inc messing recording though. So not that bad! ❤️
Done well mate, I ain’t had the pleasure of one yet. Not looking forward to it😂
@@gazzagasco it actually wasn’t that bad in the end. I’d do it again 😂
@@Heatking 😂😂be in the skip, if I turn up 😂. To be fair you made it look east. I’ve known lads be on them all day.
Worst diverter design ever! At one point i was changing so many i could replace one in about an hour to 90 min. When i change the o-ring i clean it with abrasive pads then grease it
Nice going that mate. Did you remove the board or manage with it in situ?
I left it in situ
Honking boilers. Hate them with a passion
😂😂 I really didn’t want to do this job 😂
Why didn’t you just put a bag over pcb
I could have done to be fair. But they’re simple to on these and just gives better access.
@@Heatking I’ll try that then next time I get one of these
