I have been using G502 Hero for 5years now and recently decided to go lightweight (tried razer viper v2 pro) and for the life of me couldn't get used to the weight reduction (missing all mu shots and barely staying on target), spent 2 weeks with it and just returned it. I ordered the G502 X Plus and waiting for it to arrive. I appreciate the extra weight on mouse.
I agree heavy mouse with higher dpi settings have more control over it
Heavier mice are more staple. It takes time to get used to lighter mice and in worst case you have to relearn how to aim quite a bit.
Let me know how it feels considering it's about 20 grams lighter than the g502
@@Born2Legit Got it 10 days ago and I'm really loving it. Same aesthetic as the original 502 (which is my favourite) but with really premium build. The battery life is great, last me about a week (10-11h usage/day). It took me about a day or 2 to adapt to it while gaming as I got my aim screwed while using the viper v2 pro. The weight difference is not noticeable to the original 502.
Got superlight vs basillisk v3 pro. And i have to say each of them have their own pro and con. I’m active mouse user who basically changing mouse often so adapt for me is really easy tho i prefer design of 502x plus, i really love logitech design tho, their specs is bit behind razer. Basillisk v3 pro have active 4000hz polling rate, stable latency and connectivity. But i love that they bringing back powerplay. I hate to charge my mouse with cable, too lazy.
I just bought my first ever aftermarket mouse and the simple addition of thumb and pinky rests changed my desk-life. I didn’t know. I DIDN’T KNOW.
Great review, no fluff, just all the needed info. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Hope you enjoyed enough to sub
Can I make the DPI buttons on the left of the left clicker into different buttons on Fortnite? Or are they only for changing DPI?
I'm so used to having the 4 thumb buttons and 3 buttons next to left click on my G700s that I've not actually thought about buying anything newer because they all have fewer buttons or the buttons are in terrible locations. That GShift feature might actually change my mind though. I love binding most of the actions I like to use in the heat of battle to the mouse as I often struggle to find the right key on the keyboard in a panic.
I have repaired my G700s twice now with new left/right switches and a new motherboard. I swear I will not let it die!
@@T1NYT4NK does yall have left and right scroll click if not those are 2 more programmable on the g502
@@jgvtc559 Yeah it does, actually! It's one of the first mice I've ever had with the scroll left/right clicks. Can't go without it, now.
I just bought 502x used the standar for 8 years and played professional for about 6 of those 8 years, mouse lasted til the end, so durability will never be an issue, great mouse
Got the G502X Lightspeed version in black (my first ever G502) and i'm freakin loving it. The only thing that stopped me buying a G502 before was the non-removable sniper & thumb button on the side. Absolutely hated it. Now that they've pulled a razer on that thing (on Basilisk Ultimate it is removable), got it ASAP.
Using a Razer Basilisk Ultimate on the side and i must say that mouse has a very unstable scrolling experience. You cannot switch weapons in games only relying on the scroll wheel steps because it is not registering scrolls until you push the wheel a little bit further in order to complete its registering... When i opened it up i saw that it's using a cheap potentiometer system rather than an Optical encoder like Logi products. And that potentiometer is wiggling back and forth as you scroll the wheel causing those scroll skips. I've managed to tuck a toothpick (yes a freakin toothpick) in the enclosure in order to prevent it to wiggle, and it improved the scroll skips to a managable degree. If anyone is interested in it i can send photos of it.
Anyway, stay away from Basilisk ultimate and V2. Stick to G502X.
502x has a changeable snipe Button :)
@@GevatterToth yeah i know. that's why i bought it ASAP.
Your reviews are great. Seriously. I im sure you will have 200k subscribers soon.
Voice, video editing, zoom, information...
One extra point in this video could be about RGB effects in the mouse.
Have G502 Proteus for 6 years still working great and got the wired version of 502X its upgrade in every way - you cant go wrong choosing this mouse.
I hope 502X doesn't have double clicking issues, I'll have to wait about a year before buying one.
@@KanadeTachibanaBlackMidi they made it with new quote - ''optical-mechanical switch technology''
im getting a g502 lightspeed, i think its still holds pretty well
i just purchase this as my razer basilik x hyperspeed dongle decided to shat itself so decided on picking this 1 up hopefully it's an upgrade. great video
That mouse mat is much more interesting to me than the mouse. I have an ASUS ROG Chakram mouse and bought that ridiculously expensive Qi charging mouse pad along with it expecting it to constantly power the mouse but instead, it's just a tiny corner far away from where you have your mouse when you use it so it basically never charged anything because either you'd be using the mouse and not be in the charging area or your PC would be off and it wouldn't have power to charge.
You need to change settings in BIOS to have power to USB ports even when PC is turned off.
@@owca6666 no it's not that. It wouldn't even charge while three pc was on. That mouse pad only charges in there very top right corner
@@Oceanborn712 so put it in the top right corner
@@MMAJP182 The whole point of a charging mat is to be charging while it's on the mat so you can just use it and forget about it. That thing is just a glorified chi charging pad (which you can buy for less than $10) with a lot of plastic attached. Just not practical or worth the money.
@@Oceanborn712 but you could at least turn usb charging while the pc is off on in your bios lol and put it in the corner
I've been using my G402 for 10 years. A couple double-clicks but usually they fix tehmselves. Upgrading to g502x plus was a great decision because it's still familiar with my old g402, but this thing is wireless! I disabled RGB because I don't like hot hands, and the battery lasts 2 weeks !!
Fantastic thorough and informative review! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
The classic G502 was my first ever mouse, and I loved it to bits. Still keep it in my bag and use it at school and such. Swapped over to the G502 Hero cause I got it from a friend and it was in better shape than my own G502. Now seeing this I think it's finally time to let my first ever now 7 year old gaming mouse rest.
i still have a MX500 from the early 2000s, Logitech mice are awesome.
I had the G502 Hero for years and recently got the G502 X Lightspeed, which is 20 grams lighter, and it feels a lot better, imo. Hopefully, we will see a sub-80-90 gram in the future.
I use the g502 proteus spectrum. Im thinking about getting the g502 x ls. So much hate on it though. I have a 70gram mouse (its very cheap, but still 70g) and it feels almost too light...
I use a Redragon M908 which i love due to the size and extra weights I can add. I have an original Logitech G502 but its to small and light. That looks way to small to.
I have the old 502 wireless and its as of late not been charging correctly. I've just reached out to amazon for a replacement which they said they could only offer a refund. Didn't realise there was an updated version until now so have just ordered this. Should be here tomorrow... love the 502 series and couldn't use anything else now. Looks like my current one knew he had an updated brother and gave up the ghost 🤣
Dude why is your voice so relaxing I love it
I was born this way. Sub for more relaxation ☺️
"Helllllooooo..." ☺
my ideal mouse would be this mouse but with 2 buttons on the right click button just like the left click button has them.
and 2 buttons right below the lock wheel buttons just like on the G903
I don't think it would have killed them to add BT....Would have made it easier to go from my Laptop where I'll use this to my Desktop. Had to have the USB C , enough with the micro usb connectors. Rather than the pad I choose to plug it in when not using it . The pad has a wire...and my aim was to get rid of the wire.
The "infinite scroll wheel" is pretty popular in arpgs to be used as movement
I hate how they changed from "11 programmable buttons" to "13 programmable ACTIONS" All the buttons are exactly the same, they now just count scroll up and down as "programmable actions"
Now ordered this mouse thanks to your many mouse reviews :)
Hope you enjoy it!
While upgrading to a USB-C is nice, they should have kept the weight flexibility found on the G502.
nice one Age...ordered the white version so eager to see how its over the g903 which I never felt really comfortable with.
Hey Airblazer!
Can't find this on our market. Basilisk v3 Pro leaving me no choice. Should I wait for it?
Currently using a Model O Wireless.
This could be good for me if it's not triple the price of the original wired and the GPX is within its price range..
There's a cheaper wired one.
I’ve been wanting to replace my g502 for a while now, looks like I know what I’m getting myself for Christmas
Really want to like it but the m1 & m2 clicks feel like a £15 click. Twangy metallic hollow. If they can sort this out…
I'm wondering if this will still work like a wired mouse while it's charging on my desktop PC?
Hello, can we assign new macros to Scroll Up and Scroll down keys in G Shift mode? I guess these keys are also programmable. If that so, I will be so glad to buy newer version G502 X Plus. By the way I have 4 G502 :)) one is cordless. Others are regular one, KDA, G502 SE andG502 Hero. Thanks for your answer.
Can I turn the mouse off and play wired with this? I know it's wireless that's thw whole purpose, I'm just curious if I could potentially do both?!?!
Great review video. Where did you buy this terminator replica?
What model is your deskmat? So cool! (0:05)

I just got the mouse and I like it, but the biggest problem I have with it is that it doesn't come with a charging dock the Razor wireless mouse. It would have been perfect if it came with a charging dock where you can put the dongle to use the mouse but noooo.
It may sound weird but may I ask what is the lifetime of this mouse? I have used Logitech Mx Master 3 around 2yrs it started to have problems then the Mx master 3S took 1yr 😢. I'm not even gaming but this mouse look so nice
Can you remap the hyperscroll toggle button to be just a normal click? I never switch between scrolling behavior anyway
I like the g502 but once I used the g pro x I will never go with heavy mouses again. Prawn would please compare razer deathadder pro v3 vs logitech g pro x
Quite possibly!
I thought the same then a year later went back for the extra buttons
Lol weird. Light mice are unusable to me and the g502 is fairly light imo
Is it worth it coming from the razer viper v2 pro?
so big big question, are the new optical switches better than the stock switches in the g502? like...you know the dead switch double click flaw? i believe i saw a teardown that had the left and right click using the new switches but the top buttons use the unspeakable switches so i'm curious on whether or not the new switches show any sign of this type of wear and tear
In theory they should not get the doubleclick. The doubleclick on the older 502 models were caused by the mechanical switch wearing out and "clattering" the signal. But the signal on these new 502 models are optical, so there shouldnt be any clatter
@@woutchauvaux6672 Yeah I'd imagine if you could change the parameters of the debounce algorithm then that would be easily fixable, but no these companies refuse to implement that into their "software". It would be better if they could just refactor QMK for their mice.
I have G502 X and big problem with dpi change when using G Hub. This is not the case when I use programed profil and G Hub keep turning off.
I have the Wired one, does the new one feel completely different? Its on my list for new accessories 👍
A mouse review that actually shows the mouse being used?! 😮
Sadly that Logitech kept the annoying noise scroll wheel.
I returned the G502 because the wheel, lateral texture (G502x seems better) and weight (it was very heavy for me).
Do you even lift bro
The mouse wheel is propably a big reason for its popularity in the creative/office environment.
The mouse wheel is literally just a fidget spinner.
Is there a noise from the mousewheel when the mouse is moved fast? What material is the surface of the wheel?
usb-c is cool, but the fact that you can bind g-shift+mousewheel up and down makes it worth it imo.
@@ErdemAKINErAdam Since gshift scroll wheel up and down are now bindable, i guess macros should work, but i can check when i get home from work to make sure.
@@Dirty2D I will be so happy. I am waiting for news from you. Also, do you think that the bindable feature of the scroll wheel key will come to the old version G502 with a firmware update? It would be really awesome if they did.
@@ErdemAKINErAdam It does not work to bind macros, i have bound it so i have volume up and down with g-shift and scrolling, but the tooltip says "Some Macros and other Commands are not available for assignment to Scroll Up and Scroll Down."
They will probably never add this to the normal g502, but we can allways hope...
@@Dirty2D I understand :( Can't you assign F2 key (for rename) on scroll up key. Or comma key on scroll down. I just wonder whether assigning regular key not macros.
106g .. weight is inversely related to price. My 45~47g Finalmouse $190~$350+ and my 50g modded GPX Superlight $250+.
Bought the white one first, but all my stuff is black so I returned it and got thw black one. Now I miss the looks of the white one and I'm this close to return the black and get a white one again....ffs
Do it! I got all black too but figured the white one off piece is fluid.
@@radlink14 I decided to do it! I want to buy it from amazon though, but apparently the White G502 x plus is not available there. Go figure.
great review video! I've missed the infinite scroll wheel hitting terminal velocity
🤣
my ghub app is different i dont have the options on the left side, i cant seem to customize anything to use keyboard shortcuts like enter, copy, paste... is this possible..
On the old G502 the mouse wheel was lose if you made fast flicks, did they fix it with the new version? :)
How do you turn off the RBG lights?
i like your knife. which you use for unboxing 😊
Wait, wheel is still noisy? Why they kept it like that?
is it possible to switch between two different computers w/ this mouse?
Trying to find the perfect logitech mouse to pair with my g13. Might have found it.
Is it noticeably wider than the last edition? i have bigt hands and hate having to smush my pinky for it to fit on the mouse lol
Not really ruclips.net/video/Vv8ZzpYKMG8/видео.html
BEST LOOKING MOUSE IVE EVER SEEN
This or the Roccat Kone XP Air?
G502x plus!
Came to ask that same question. I might just have to order both and return the loser.
Can you remap the sniper button to another keyboard key?
Yes you can. I map mine to melee in most games
Is this worth an upgrade if have the 502 already?
ruclips.net/video/Vv8ZzpYKMG8/видео.html
exactly the kind of review i need, every other reviews just shits on g502x for its weight it gets very annoying
Battery duration?
Such a nice looking mouse, but it's just too overpriced. If they can go down to $110-$120, then I might consider it, coming from an MX Master 3S that's $99 and
Get the none RGB version, lighter and cheaper.
Can the DPI button be programmable so I can use it for melee or Grenades?
Yes
The best video provided for mouses and headphones, keep it up, by the way Nice knife 😅
Also i have one question i look at your video with the corsair m65 rgb ultra wireless, i have it it is Nice, only problem it is not that confortable in my small hands. Today i buy the logitech g502 x plus, what is your opinion ? Which one is better. And thanks for all your great videos
Knowing virtually nothing about pc peripherals, or hardware in general, I bought an OG G502 about 8 years ago. Today, it's still going strong and still the best thing plugged into my pc. One of the best purchases I've ever made.
Will this work with razer's wireless mouse dock pro?
Seriously doubt it
your voice scares me and puts chills in my bones bro
I am not scary
Would love to see the comparison between the previous design. How does it feel compared to the regular G502? Is there anything the old G502 does better except the adjustable weights?
That video will be coming soon. 👍
I lovw logetich man
I just watche the headset vudeo
And now you got another video for logetich what a luck 🙂
Could i use with cable for PS5?
Buy it, find out , if not return
Does anyone know of a decent gaming mouse that supports multiple devices? Like a logitech master series? The quality of those is amazing but they're not a great gaming mouse. I just want to switch it from PC to Mac
SIR PLEASE, WERE DID YOU GET THAT KNIFE!?
Wish 🤣
do they have a wired version
Yes
Good work as usual. Keep up the good work. Hands down better than anything Razer has ever put out.
i can't stand the mouse wheel on the G502 (at least on the proteous core and hero) simply because there's no grip so scrolling can be a disaster. does the mouse wheel on the G502 X provide more grip? it looks rubbery.
May still be too heavy for some for sure.
Some people do like mice a bit heavier.
It is good having a refresh of a classic.
Optical switches are a nice go to for sure.
How could they not include wait
does it have bluetooth?
No
Great video! But brother maybe you should turn down your caffeine intake? Your shaking hands concern me
is it good for csgo?
Logitech needs to offer something with 4000Hz Poll rate, which can compete with HyperPoll from Razer.
Optical switches means I’m buying today. Done deal
Wondering why the hell they still kept the USB-A connector on the receptor...
Most computers are full of USB Type A ports.
Most motherboards have a single USB Type C Port on the back, more if you are lucky.
Only some recent cases have a front/too mounted USB Type C.
How could they not include weights
actualy its not..its feel cheap, its too light buttons click feels cheap..i turned back to old good G502 lightspeed
Bought the mouse and hate it! The left side of the mouse is too small as my thumb hits the buttons located above the thumb rest area. Would not recommend this mouse. Sorry.
so, is it worth getting even with the god awful software?
LOL i see Logitech still have the worst cables in the game. They freezed somewhere in 2000 looks like. I know its wireless, but my Glorious D, O, Razer Orochi v2 and Deathadder v3 as well, yet they have superb cables, specialy Glorious cables are amazing. Have Superlight as well, great mouse, but again - the worst cable under the sun.
That "optional upgrade" costs as much as the mouse.
for 50 quid...sure no brainer, but for over a 100 a mouse pad? Seriously...
And if plugging in your mouse once every 90 h of use you find frustrating...better change your medication before you go outside :D
Good for CSGO???
This all probably depends on your grip and how heavy/light you like your mice.
Idk why most ppl in the comment section don't mention lack of BT. I would never spend such money for 2.4Ghz Dongle "Wireless" mouse. It's my opinion, you might think differently. When I saw its price, I thought it has triple connection, BT, 2.4Ghz and Cable. Cuz, I was planning to use this mouse on multiple devices, however, I wouldn't carry, plug-in/out all the time the dongle and so on. Rather I'd buy wired version instead of such "wireless" . Probably with the half of that price.
I understand your pain. But Bluetooth is really bad for gaming. Excessive lag. If you want to use it across multiple devices then sure, but that's probably not the people who want to buy this
Im just here to see if the mousewheel is just as fucking loud as it is for the regulat G502 i want to throw the fucking thing against the wall its so ANNOYING, but i also dont want to use this "no resistance mode", alright going to check out other manufacturers if logitech can only produce mediocre shit, not paying 160€ for that.
