New to your channel but by far one of the authentic Filipino experiences. Foreigners usually are the ones to enjoy Filipino hospitality. Most of us don't talk to each other in public unless something happens that peaks our interest or an incident that urges our Pinoy souls to check if we can help out. Keep up this kind of content. Just shows the regular life of Filipinos in their respective provinces. I am seeing real deal here and I never felt any "Pinoy-baiting" like others do. Kudos!
Thank you for saying that! The clips I like using most are just the real conversations I have with locals here. Meeting real people rather than only showing the pretty beaches. That makes sense about locals not randomly talking to other locals like I’m doing in these videos. I don’t do much of that in my home country either. Thanks for watching! I’m filming this weekend and should have some more videos out next week! I also already have several like this on the channel already!
Wow TE - What a way to get the "feel" of the people there. Much better way to get the point across on how welcoming and warm they are. I found myself bebopping to the music and with them. And you're doing this all by yourself? But with people like this, you're never really alone. Great stuff my friend, and thank you!!

Hi Jonathan. As many have said below its all about how you act, and you do it perfectly. Just be chill and relaxed/ open and everyone will be the same. Unfortunately I have come across too many fellow westerners that act like they are mini Gods and this saddens me. One for how they act and treat the Filipino locals, and secondly it can reflect on us westerners who are not this way. I have lived in Maguindanao and Cotabato City for the last 10 years. Maguindanao is a place that usually is met with OMG why there it’s dangerous, are you not scared? From Filipino friends outside of Mindanao. The answer is no and the same as above, just be cool and boy will you ever find a better place or people. So miss understood I call it the land of endless smiles. I had to laugh at the Manong laying on the bench, he was making the most of the day. Tagay Pare 😊
Wow I just watch all day of all your videos from bohol to cebu to tondo to to divisoria to Palawan and Siargao actually since last night and today I stumbled on your channel I subscribed and start watching a tons of your videos 🥰
I'm glad you are enjoying Philippines. I will retire in couple of years and will go back to Philippines to enjoy. I have been to different countries and there is no place like Philippines. Thanks for bringing me to places I have not been there. I am enjoying your video. Keep exploring. BTW, in General American, the letter A , as most vowel letters in English, has four main pronunciations. In the word ‘exact’, it’s the AA sound, exact. In the word ‘father’, it’s the AH sound. The letter "A" in Philippines has only one pronunciation. "When you say "TayTay", it is tah_y tah_y. It is the AH sound.
I agree to this... the Philippines only has one way to pronounce each vowels... The "A" will always be pronouced as AH... (Father, America) The "E" is always pronounced as EH... (Fell, Well, Bell, Echo) The "I" is pronounced as the long EE sound. (Beep, Jeep, Weep) The "O" is pronounced as short O. (Off, Fall, Wall, Ortho) The "U" is always pronounced as the long OO sound (Wool, Fool, Uber) 😊

I’m filming this weekend and should have some more videos out next week! I also already have several like this on the channel already!
I'm not a foreigner but I received alot of hospitality from fellow Filipinos since I travel a lot.
Was laughing so hard, the man says “guba” means broken, Jonathan say goodbye to the slippers lol. So much fun on this video. Best ever!
The drunk guy so hilarious! I remember my uncle who spoke giberrish when drunk too😂😂😂...enjoy travelling!🇵🇭
The problem was, I didn't understand his language, so I didn't know if those were words or not haha
They all act like that to their White Gods.
@@lapulapupintado2892 I received alot of hospitality the same way he had and I'm not even a foreigner. I'm just a local tourist
@@AyaAya-kw4ub Try being a "Black Ass" and good luck to you for that same treatment😂
Wow TE - What a way to get the "feel" of the people there. Much better way to get the point across on how welcoming and warm they are. I found myself bebopping to the music and with them. And you're doing this all by yourself? But with people like this, you're never really alone. Great stuff my friend, and thank you!!
Hi Jonathan, it's good to see you that you are enjoying your stay in Philippines..And considering to stay there for a long time..Now you're adopting pinoy culture specially the karaoke..always stay safe..waiting for more videos.
new subscriber here because of your videos from Philippines! Thanks for visiting our country and showing it to the world. We Filipinos will support you brother!
Time flies (10yrs + outside country ) and I miss my hometown .Cebu ! 😭😭and a Filipino scientist who got the patent from first karaoke sing along machine too..so naturally we love to sing 🎤 🎶
Beautiful beach and glad you are having fun and enjoying Philippines.
Absolutely!
Wow I just watch all day of all your videos from bohol to cebu to tondo to to divisoria to Palawan and Siargao actually since last night and today I stumbled on your channel I subscribed and start watching a tons of your videos 🥰
Thank you so much for watching these videos!! I love hearing this!
Everybody likes you obviously. Keep up that smile that shines through and make everyone happy as you are welcome here in the Philippines!
Had fun watching your videos. Thanks for featuring Philippines.
I am so proud being a filipino watching this people, i love you man.
This is why i love the philippines people are polite and friendly watching from washington aklan
Oooo that helps a lot! Thank you!
I agree to this... the Philippines only has one way to pronounce each vowels...
The "A" will always be pronouced as AH... (Father, America)
The "E" is always pronounced as EH... (Fell, Well, Bell, Echo)
The "I" is pronounced as the long EE sound. (Beep, Jeep, Weep)
The "O" is pronounced as short O. (Off, Fall, Wall, Ortho)
The "U" is always pronounced as the long OO sound (Wool, Fool, Uber) 😊
Thank you for promoting Philippines.
Thank you for watching!
Mega Love Shout out @Travel Escapes 😁 Vivi Fatz right here , I hope you had a great time meeting with the Cebu locals, enjoy your stay here god bless you!
Oh hey Vivi Fatz! Great to see you here! Great to meet you the other day!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL yeah ! t'was great to met you too , thanks to that flip flops hahaha 🤣
The Filipinos extend themselves with such love and kindness!!
Love it when almost all of them said "no" when you asked if you can eat the outside part of lanzones 🤣 if you did you'd surely regret it, both the skin and the seed tastes horribly bitter 🤣🤣🤣
I miss my home island of Cebu! I havent been home for over 5 years now and watching your videos reminds me of how beautiful home is and warm the people are.
Friendly pilipino people and hospitality. 🇵🇭👍🙏😊
100% agree!
This was so much fun to watch. I smiled the entire time. Living vicariously through your travels✈️🛺🏖
Guy was "speaking in tongues" from intoxication, lol...
I love that song 'Sweet Home Alabama' too Jonathan. I heard you say also in your previous upload you're from Alabama.
That's a beautiful beach. The name is Lambag Beach? Even in overcast weather, it still looks great.
Lanzo'nes is a popular fruit here and is native to Southeast Asia. :)
hahah yep! ... i think it's Lambug beach! It was a good fruit to have on a hot day!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL It's actually lan-zoh-nes and not lan-zoo-nes as pronounced by the guy. Sometimes, Visayans pronounce words differently.
This touches my heart. Filipinos are very giving.
Very true!
This video really shows the Filipino hospitality.
It does!
Yeah, to their White God.
@@lapulapupintado2892 that is the most negative thing ive read about a very wholesome feelgood video.
Most of the time rains come in the afternoon but not all the time, so if you plan to get to Osmeña peak, do it early in the morning and get there for the sunrise if you can. And be back to Moalboal by noon.
That would be a safer bet. Thank you!
The way you interact with people give a good vibes
Energy is very contagious! The locals make me feel comfortable enough to be myself and talk to them here. That’s not the case in many other countries!
Thank you for visiting philippines.. enjoy your tour here...😊
The guy was saying "guba" not goodbye to your flip flops. Guba means broken. Last time I was there I was in Cebu too. I miss the Philippines ❤️ Hello from Montreal :)
Very impressive! Love your videos. I watched you every night. Good job! Well done!
It’s good to know that you’re enjoying your stay there!!!
New Filipino subscriber here. Aloha from Hawaii. Your video just appeared. I clicked it and enjoyed it. It’s good to see such kindness and generosity from Filipinos. And I’m glad you’re enjoying your stay
We Filipino's are the most friendliest people that ever walk on earth... i swear...❤️☝️
Hey bro I’m from the U.K. my friend is from Cebu I love your the Philippines let’s be friends
Love the vids! Tip in the Philippines they don't really shake hands as a greeting
That's another personality of a Filipino we are happy to help, broken slippers(flip flops)no problem..we improvise as long we can still use of it!😁👍...ur having a blast out there bro and having a lot of fun!...enjoy ur stay🇵🇭
So true! They immediately came over with ideas haha
Yeah, another personality of Pilipinos kissing ass to their White Gods. When in reality Pilipinos hate other Pilipino ethnic groups/tribes.
Me and my partner love your vedio's about my country... My partner been in Philippines for 4 times but never been in cebu. now his nagging me to bring him there the next time we go holiday's in philippines.
I admire your simplicity and very down to earth traveller to my country.
I'm filipino American leaving in California. So happy that you are enjoying your travel in the Philippines. I have been away for so long spent my childhood/adult life in the US so there's a lot of places that I have not seen so your videos gives me hope that someday I can also do the same. So happy that you get to experience filipino hospitality and how truly the locals are so friendly and acommodating. Have fun and I will continue to watch your adventure!
Thanks for watching from the US! Hopefully you will be able to visit the Philippines 🇵🇭 soon! There’s sooo much to see here. Impossible to do it all!
How's life in ( Nazi States of America ) with power tripping KKKops and racist bigot people there ?
Hi Jonathan as a new subscriber, my comment that you’re spot on, how you described Filipinos.
Along the way meeting people from OZ or NZ ? Offered you Lanzones.. yummy. Watch this, Im impressed that you got singing talent & enjoyed participating with locals. You’re truly a trouper mate.. Good 👍 on you
Filipinos are the coolest people in the world 😁
they really are!
the man with cap who was keep insisting to switch slippers was very thoughtful and kind.. he really wanted to help you bro..
it was the sweetest gesture..
You made our day. So amazing how you blend well so easily with locals without any second thought. Have fun out there and stay safe. Will keep on waiting for and watching your content. God bless.
Thank you so much for following along! It’s easy to blend when everyone is so nice!
11:10 I’m not sure what the “CR” is about but I believe he said he is from Badian, it’s on the SW part of the island Cebu, where all the remarkable waterfalls are. Canyoneering is a must in Badian, when you go see the Falls.
Philippino people are sone of the most resourceful people I’ve ever met!
I could tell with that slipper repair!
Dude its FILIPINO. I think your filipino but you cant even do the spelling but you just prove your point of being resourceful
when your government is corrupted and you're poor, you have to be resourceful. The Phils is not like the U.S. a throw away country.
@@xofmetleh6618 lol I’m not Filipino . And my predictive is insane and nonsensical and it’s often late when I’m writing comments! Lol . I simply didn’t notice it. But I don’t sweat the small stuff in life and read the meaning behind peoples words rather then trying to make them feel small or silly . I look at the content of a msg , big picture stuff . I always feel like people needlessly attacking others or being rude in the comments in this way must be living very unhappy lives and in a bit of a negative space. I hope life improves for you. I really your videos,I've been watching it since a month ago...I find it entertaining and a lot of stuff to learn for other foreigners planning to visit here.Thank you and more power to your blog Sir.
I suggest that you visit my hometown of Baguio City up in the mountain and explore the Cordillera region and experience filipino country music.
Country music?!? Is it similar to American country music ?
Yes but what I can remember older country like Merle haggard, Marty Robbins, John Denver this is what remember growing up there in the 70s its been so long ago but I'm sure you'll enjoy the cooler weather
Yes. Our place here in the North prefers Country songs. We have singing competitions as well. Try visiting the mountains of Cordillera when you have time.☺️☺️☺️
You’re a good singer, jonathan, enjoy your stay , it’s Allan from New Jersey
we use to call it "palahubog" it makes the language barrier even harder.
I can't stop laughing the drunk man in blue shirt just chilling on the bench and blabbering gibberish and the man grooving are so hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣 The natural Pinoy kindness and help aren't found anywhere. They'll literally just come to help you regardless of race, without expecting anything in return. 😊
Hey bro! Good day. 🙏
Had so much fun watching your vlog. It made me more proud of a filipino by the kindness & hospitality they've shown you and to other visiting foreigners. It's really one of a kind👏👌👍
The country may not be rich as the super powers are, but the people are so rich in humanitarian acts that come in all sizes at any given situation. ❤️🇵🇭I just love the Philippines even I'm not there.
Filipinos will make you feel like you're one of them - like a member of a family, so to speak.

Thank you!!
if a foreigner shows love and respect for Filipinos, they will pay him back a hundred times over. That is our culture
sir Jonathan I always watched your vlogs just keep doing vlogs enjoy
If you want to sound more Filipino, the 'a' is almost always a short 'a'. Glad you're enjoying the countryside. Lots of great friendly people. Enjoy !
A is pronounce " ah" and not a long " ey".
The beach looks beautiful.
we're Filipino are in need... so in a little way we extend our hands to help most especially to tourists, who we know's that they came to visit us to experience our country..and this video genuinely says everything..we love to help in every ways..❤❤❤

Congrats Jonathan you have 16k subs! You’ll probably hit 20k on your next video. Drinking that Red Horse will make you sing 😂 Those guys are drunk especially the guy in blue jersey.

Welcome to our lovely country-The Philippines.🇵🇭 You can also try to go to the some of the most historical places like Corregidor Island in Bataan, Manila ( San Agustine Church-oldest church, Manila Cathedral, Intramuros, Fort Santiago etc.), Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, Hundred Islands, Batanes and many others. Enjoy!😀
At 11:05 he said, "CR" or comfort room or toilet. When you asked "where are you from", his answer was that he came from toilet. I also heard "bathr..." "banyo", which means CR or comfort room.
Try to collab other foreigners who do vlog in Cebu most especially, Travel Abroad (Canadian), Travel with Luke Damant (Australian) , Bisayang Hilaw (American), Mergim Vlogs (British). This will be awesome.
I would definitely do it if they wanted to collaborate!

Yep, like instant coffee or instant noodles that satisfies you when you needed it most, that's what Filipinos are, you got instant friends when you're alone🤗. 👍🇵🇭
hahah, instant noodles! I like the comparison!
thank you for the good impression. thank you for the experience. you're in a fun country. they love foreigners.
My tip.
when you are a foreigner and they invite you to a party or banquet, they will not let you spend money.. If you ever give money, it should only be to children, not to adults. Because it's an insult for Filipinos to hand over money after they invited you.
So don't do that, just enjoy yourself and there will be no problem 💖
