what you all don't know and what the video doesn't tell you is that you can stay in station 3 on the same paradise beach and have it very calm with only a handful people and when you want more people ion the evening just walk from there to station 2 in 15 min. Make sure to book your hotel in station 3 that's the whole trick

If you're in i.t. park i definitely suggest the verified rooftop bar. Good drinks, amazing creme Brule and shisha/ hookah if you like that.
Once you're comfortable or have friends try the AGWA it's a much more affordable (mid tier for locals) they blast music and everyone is dancing and singing along. Definitely a place if you're looking for locals in the 20/30 year range

It was an unspoiled paradise before . Even locals did not know what or where Boracay was. Only tourists were mostly from Europe, usually the backpacker type. Actually learned about it from a German tourist in Puerto Galera.

Hey my friend, have been watching you for a couple of years, just subscribed. I live on boracay. There are 11 beach here, the beach you are on is white beach. That's the tourist beach and of course is crowded. There are several beaches that are white sand beautiful water and no crowds. We used to live, like you, in bohol. And have found Boracay to be similarly price on average. Boracay also has far better and far fresher food available compared to bohol. We moved here about 14 months ago, and we absolutely love it.

Hey Johnathan, Gary H. here from New Mexico. I'm really happy that you are experiencing my (our) favorite place in the world. I met my Filipina wife 23 years ago and we went straight to Boracay. $8 per night, station 3. We've been back 6 times, Oct '23 being our last visit. I have a favor to ask and fun for you. I got my tattoo sleave at Normer's. He is at station 2 on the beach close to the D Mall entrance. He's upstairs but you'll see his sign. Tell him, Gary sent you. Good local artist. Consider getting one, lol. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your stuff. We hope to be there in January. Each trip we stay longer and longer. Bye!

There are other beaches in Boracay. The one where Stations 1-3 is called the White Beach (the most crowded), on the opposite side is the Bulabog Beach. Then there's Puka Beach, Diniwid, beach, etc. If you'll notice the sand on the white beach, aside from its powdery white sand, is that it doesn't get hot even at 12 noon.. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Very cool how your "I don't know how to type that" turned into a nice interaction with the locals on the island. Boracay for me is also a love-annoyance locale. I worked here until 2009, left, and have now returned. I am heading back tomorrow with some family who are visting. I know it isn't even close to the best diving in the Philippines, but I enjoy how calm it is. My son is getting into diving, so this shoild be a nice trip. One of the best aspects of Boracay is swimmimg the water there. It is the best open water swimming if you can avoid the boats. Hopefully they are not as crazy as they used to be.

Station 2 is crowded. It’s where most mid-range accommodations are; food chains, restaurants, bars. Staions 1 and 3 are quieter.
Was in Crete last year, and a plane lands every 8mins! You can barely walk on the beach as it’s overtaken by rows and rows of sun loungers. Was in Mykonos in 2022 and there were 5 massive cruise ships docked. Was in Lake Como and Lake Garda this year and there were busloads of tourists.
So, yeah, Boracay is crowded but the beach and water is still the best I have seen in Phils. It is crowded but you can still walk on the beach for miles and miles. Me and my husband keep coming back there - and to the other islands.
    Enjoy your travels!

It is great but it was better.
Always nice interactions with the locals.

I live in the Philippines for 6 months a year. You should go to San Vicente Palawan and film Long beach. Its the second longest beach in East Asia. 14.6 kilometres long of beautiful white sand

Same feeling. I also thought that Bora's too crowded for me, though I also stayed in Sta 2, some say that Sta 1 is more serene and quiet. Overall, I prefer the northern beaches, like those in La Union where there are less crowds.

Thank you Jonathan. I always felt Boracay is over rated although I ve never been there . Just watching vlogs like yours. I like watching you coz you always give honest opinion.
BTW, Ive been watching you since started vlogging in the Philippines. It's been fun to see your channel grow. I think you got big because people like you because you're always friendly and respectful of our people.
Congratulations and more power to you.

by the way, even when the beach is busy, looks like u can move around and be in peace... if u go to copa cabana in brasil when its busy, its nearly a sardine kinda thing:)

Boracay is not that crowded actually when compared to other famous beaches in the world like Ibiza or Bondi beach, and expensive.

Went there in 1995 for the first time, Station 1 - 3 were the landing stations for the boats, directly from the pier on the mainland (Caticlan).

Visit TUBURAN COVE BEACH RESORT a step away from Boracay. See the big difference! Enjoy and be safe, Jonathan.

For what it's worth, I think you might like the Poblacion of Sipalay. It's halfway down the island of Negros with gorgeous mountains, a long, shallow sand beach, and a much more authentic community around it.

Coconut is indeed very expensive there. The main beach is very crowded. Boracay has a beautiful beach and is expensive but will make you always come back.
