Because I've spent over £20k on my virgin card they state I have a companion option. I presume is buy a seat get one free? ( Pay taxes)?. However it's impossible to get through to them to book.... Any advice? Is it limited to flights / dates too? I want to fly Jan 2024 . I have to book by July 2023

You can choose a reward from:
Companion Reward Ticket. Take one person with you in a reward seat:
If you’re a Silver or Gold member when you book the companion reward seat won’t cost any points.
If you’re a Red member when you book, the companion seat won’t cost any points in Economy Classic and Premium, or you'll pay 50% of the points needed for a standard Upper Class Companion Reward.
Upgrade Voucher. Upgrade any booking by one cabin into a reward seat. Available to all tiers.
Clubhouse Pass. (Silver and Gold Flying Club members only). For one person to use in any Clubhouse worldwide when flying with Virgin Atlantic, Delta or AFKL International. No additional guests can be permitted. If you’re a Gold member, you’ll get two passes.

This is taken from the virgin Atlantic website. You can choose to take a companion or upgrade yourself to a premium cabin!

Hello. I'm really struggling to use my points. My husband and i each have about 34,000. The website says I can use them to reduce the fare using money plus points and says to do it at the checkout. I haven't been given an option before putting in my card details and don't want to risk completing the purchase without using my points. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for watching! When you are searching for the booking you want to make you need to select ‘money and points’ then select the flights you want to take and before you come to the pay page there will be a small section that allows you to use points to get money off your fare. The minimum you can use is 3,000 which will get you about £16 off all the way up to the max amount of points you have. Hopefully this is useful for you. Any other questions please ask and I’ll try my best to help. If you have already subscribed to the channel, thank you! If you haven’t It would mean a lot if you could. Happy travels! Lee

@@aimeeandleetravel thanks lee. I did select money plus points but didn't see any option to use points before the pay page. Once I'd chosen the flights, a pop up said that I could use points to reduce the fare but I didn't see any way of doing it. Could you possibly send me a screen shot or explain what else I need to do. My husband and I have about 34,000 points each and it is likely to be our last holiday as he has a terminal illness. I have been trying for 3 days to book the flights. I will certainly subscribe to your channel anyway even though I am unlikely to do much more travelling.

I selected money plus points using the advanced search tab near the beginning of the process. Is that not the right way? Also, I assume I shall have to make one booking using my points account and make a separate booking for my husband using his? we want to go from Manchester to Barbados on 4 Jan 2023 returning on 13 Jan, ideally PE out and Upper Class back. Thank you.

Sonia, If you head onto my channel page on RUclips I have just uploaded a short video showing a screen recording of exactly how to book with the points. Hope this helps you and your husband book you flights!

@@aimeeandleetravel that is so kind of you but when I get the screen "here are your flights" there is nothing under it other than an option to upgrade to upper class refundable, an option to choose seating and then Legal Information. What am I doing wrong?!

Going by the points guy valuations 15,000 virgin miles would be worth £195. You can use them towards flights, upgrades and experiences.
