Add more cheese on top. I love cheese though.
I would try and make the blue berry french toast but I would leave out the cream cheese. I love your recipes!
I would've softened the cheese and blend it with the egg mixture and poured it into the bread
Can you freeze the first recipe in this video after baking, the easy breakfast muffins? Thank you!
If you’re talking about that Jewish bread called challah bread, it’s pronounced hollah … like, I’ll hollah at you later. Aka, holler. Basically the C is silent in the name of the bread
I'm in the UK and love to see your recipes. Breakfast for me is either toast, or cereal
We make the French toast casserole and love it! It was a mistake to not add syrup on top at the end. You NEED that sweetness!
I've found that when recipes advise how to make a syrup for on top it's because they created the recipe to need it. Using a berry compote and whisking soft cream cheese with it might help the chunks of cream cheese and the sweetness factor without as much sugar in the in...maybe.
I came to the comments to see if anyone said this helped. It called for syrup so… seems like it would be way better with it.
@@flyladykat could we use any other kind of bread for this recipe?😊
@@youmakemehappy7 the Hawaiian rolls they are very sweet.
I would probably try blending the cream cheese in with the egg mixture rather than the having the cubes maybe 🤔
i make the french toast casserole but only use half the amount of cheese and cut them in smaller chunks, and the berry syrup is a MUST! it provides the sweetness to balance the cheesy/egginess of the bread. it always gets devoured at our table! 🤤
When doing any kind of egg scramble I like to add about a tablespoon of dried chicken bullion. It adds that extra something to spruce up the egg flavor. Also, dill is a fun herb to add to eggs.
Kimmy, great recipes! Glad to see something new!
Ohhh this is a great idea. That will take it to whole new level of yummy.
Hey Kimmy, I love all the casseroles and can't wait to try them. I would suggest using the cream cheese from the cinnamon rolls to use in the blueberry casserole and add some powdered sugar to sweeten it up more.
For the blueberry one I would mix the cream cheese with some sugar and vanilla and spread it on instead of cutting it. The blueberry sauce would make a difference, too. I like to make an eggnog french toast casserole for the holidays...use eggnog in place of any milk. I also put brown sugar/butter mixture on the bottom with chopped pecans on bottom and all through. Love your channel! You are looking beautiful and love the new haircut!
If you did not like straight cream cheese, I am guessing you still like the idea of cream cheese and blueberry- like cheesecake… so I would suggest, you mix your cream cheese with a little powdered sugar (or regular sugar), and egg.. and scoop that it. It will have the taste of cheesecake versus straight cheese. That also might make it sweet enough to your liking even if you do not drizzle blue berry syrup on the top.
The breakfast casserole you made and loved and declared it was your new Christmas breakfast casserole. I do that one but use the shredded potato patties on the bottom. Super easy, super delicious. I love love the green onion; peppers mix on top… and I cook it less long than you had, it does not get quite so brown. It’s delicious and great to serve for a big people gathering breakfast.
Quick tip! The blender works great for whizzing up all the eggs for larger egg bakes. Makes it easy and mess-free to pour over the ingredients, as well.
I made the blueberry recipe except mine has sugar and cinnamon in it and it was awesome:))
"Holla" back if you need some "challah" bread!!
Challa bread is pronounced like Ha-lla bread ;) Its DELICIOUS! There's tons of recipes online. You should try and make it. It uses a lot of egg yolks so you might want to figure out something to make with the whites, add them to something else or make an omlette or something like that.
Came to help with the pronunciation also, i’d spell it more like halla like slang for holler lol also the egg cups look fabulous! Thanks Kimmy for sharing your ideas
The blueberry French toast casserole is excellent to use up Easter bread, which is very similar to challah bread. (It’s a sweet egg bread with loads of butter)
Definitely saving this video for the future. With the blueberry French toast bake instead of blueberry you could add whatever fruit you would like. Those cinnamon crockpot bake looked so yummy. I would add diced apples into mind. You could even do red and green to give them a Christmasy look. I can't wait to try some of these. thanks so much 💕
Love your additional ideas - thank you!
I make the french toast casserole and I have a crumble topping that gives some sweetness. Also, when making french toast egg mixture I use cinnamon and sugar. Love these recipes. I want to try the breakfast enchiladas.
I put one piece of pepperoni on the bottom of my egg cups. Then layer with a pepper, onion, spinach mix, eggs and spices, bacon bits, and cheese on top. I never thought of putting in tator tots. Genius!
I made the French toast casserole a lot for weekend breakfasts. I do it without the cream cheese and with a loaf of either ciabatta or French bread. Add mixed berries or raspberries with the egg mixture. Drizzle syrup on top then serve.
I would have added a little bit more cinnamon a little bit of sugar and that's that cream cheese cut it up smaller and mix it around in there and then sprinkled it with powdered sugar on top and put some vanilla flavoring in it and you could have even threw some strawberries or blackberries or raspberries in with all that
Add green chilies to the egg muffins! Yum!
Challah is pronounced like "Holla" (ask your teens how to say "holla!!!" (It's how the kids say holler?)
Thank you
The blueberry dish is my absolute favorite. I’ve made it many times before. I cut the crust off my bread for better egg mixture absorption and the stand out of this dish is the blueberry sauce! You gotta try it with the sauce! Thanks for all the great recipes!
The blueberry French toast needed to soak overnight to absorb everything and some sugar and cinnamon in the egg mixture and needed to serve with blueberry syrup you can buy the syrup.
You are looking so good and healthy. You look like you lost so much weight I remember watching you for many years on RUclips. I know you have gone gluten free for quite a while to help with your health issues. How much have you gone gluten free? And how well has it been helping you? I'm asking because I'm also considering going gluten-free I have fibromyalgia and neuropathy and I know that I'm possibly sensitive to it due to some test the doctor did. I'm just curious as another person's perspective what they feel the pros and cons of going gluten free for their health has been. Could you possibly do a video about that?
I enjoy your cooking videos. They are so motivating. For the blueberry recipe, I think I would soften the cream cheese and blend with the egg mixture. Also, increase the maple syrup for sweetness if you are making the topping syrup.
Agreed, I would do the same thing. I'd also add cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla to the egg mixture. For gluten free, more liquid is needed.
I make the blueberry casserole, my recipe adds an egg and 1/2 cup sugar per 8 oz of cream cheese. It’s great!
Challah bread is pronounced "Haa-Luh" 😊😊
I'd make the cream cheese cubes much smaller and I'd mix them with the eggs. There was only 1/4 c of any sweetening as in your maple syrup. For that many eggs and that much bread you'd definitely need 1/2 to 3/4 a cup I reckon. Also maybe the addition of the blueberry syrup would have made it seem sweeter?
I make breakfast enchiladas but a little different. I add veggies, black beans, cumin, cheese and cilantro. Then scramble the eggs, mix everything together and roll up in tortillas, basically breakfast burritos. Then cover in enchilada sauce, cheese and bake. When done top with guacamole and sour cream. The kids love them.
I know who doesn't love tater tots- tater haters!
I am not one of them though- I LOVE taters!
You could have made more of that gravey n more biscuits and filled the pan
The Farmers Market Casserole … I have for YEARS done something very similar. Instead of the shredded hash browns- go with hash brown patties!!!!! So fast so easy and is heartier. I change it up all the time with ingredients- bacon or ham or sausage, depending on what I have or the crowd it will feed. Some times all three! Otherwise basically the same- just swap the potatoes to the patties. I do want to try your enchiladas! And biscuits and gravy casserole! Thanks so much!
Sounds great!
Challah bread (caa-la)
Is a sweet bread. Similar soft texture as French bread.
Any other breads will need more sugar or syrup. Mix your cream cheese with a little milk and the syrup to make it pourable.
Your "New Christmas Casserole" can be made in a crock pot.
Takes about 4 hours on low depending on your pot.
Biscuits and gravy look so good.
Nice video. Thanks.
Challah (pronounced 'Halla") bread is slightly sweet would've made a difference in the flavor. It'd be good with the cream cheese softened and blended with some maple syrup!
When I make my French toast casserole, I cream 1/2 cup sugar with the cream cheese and 1 Tablespoon lemon juice. Place toast cubes in single layer then smear the cream cheese mixture over the cubes. Next add fruit of choice then another layer of cubes. Pour egg mixture over cubes. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top. Bake until egg mixture is cooked through. Serve and fust with powder sugar or whip cream
I used to make the French toast dish on Saturday morning. I would use the leftover Challah from Shabbat dinner. My family loved it.
Giggled at your startled “that was scary”. And I thought you’d just shove that delicious scoop of biscuit sausage gravy into your mouth looks so good.
Oh my gosh, I always jump when I open biscuits too LOL There is SO much deliciousness going on in this video. I want to try them all!
You substituted using the rolls, much dryer, also taste and texture totally different in the mouth. You needed more liquid to compensate. The finish product was much too dry. You could soak the bread in the liquid, cover, and build the casserole by throwing all together in the morning, stir and dump in baking dish. That way, you could judge the moisture content before baking. Love your Aprons!! I love using Aprons.!
It is interesting that different country’s have the same thing but call them different names we call green onions we call them spring onions and you can them green peppers we call them capsicums I am from Australia
They all looked very good, I make biscuits and sausage gravy every Sunday morning. My husband wouldn't have it any other way. Haha 😄, I think you should try the blueberry recipe again and add powder sugar to the cream cheese or just use regular sugar and or the blueberry syrup it calls for. Have a blessed day
The blueberry casserole looks nice I would be inclined to omit the cream cheese, It looks a lot like the bread pudding my mum used to make, but instead of using the blueberries, we used raisins instead. so I guess it would be nice with both the blueberries and the raisins. we also used to sprinkle a little sugar on top. All the recipes look amazing. xxx
I was thinking the same thing it reminded me of bread pudding
I love your channel you take care of dear and God bless
yum. u should do biscuits and gravy
Omg yes I have Anxiety to open biscuits rolls..yup me ..lol
I do get thru it tho.. 🍳
Me, too! I come unglued when I watch videos that show the opening of those cans!
Same. I close my eyes and turn away from them. 😂
Me too! I make my 12-year-old daughter do it because she doesn't mind.
I'd use the whipped cream cheese instead of regular one. Everything looks delicious and you look great.
I was excited for that French toast casserole too! So sad it didn’t turn out. I think I would use 1/3 cup of real sugar instead of the maple syrup, and add in some nutmeg and cinnamon, plus a splash of cream or milk. Then drizzle the maple syrup over it?
Also, you look amazing! Have you been doing anything to lose weight?
I have made this recipe before and we loved it. We made the blueberry sauce that came with the recipe and that was the finishing touch. I also only used one package of cream cheese and cut in small pieces.
Seems like it would be really plain
I would think heavy whipping cream would be richer than using the milk. Probably add a lot to the dish.
My kids would love the cinnamon roll casserole as a treat!
I immediately thought marscapone cheese is what you need. Also, some vanilla sugar would help to sweeten while enhancing the blueberries.
You look great! Have you lost weight? Did I miss this? You go girl!
I love your recipes also love your channel you're giving me a lot of great ideals you take care and God bless
Thank you so much!
Muffin tins (or silicon) perfect for making baked eggs for egg McMuffin dupes, 350 for 15 min in spray treated pans. Time to get them ready for school!
Good Morning family 🌅 and Happy Sunday here watching everything looks great 😊
Challah= Ha-La it's more like a brioche but not quite so light. These all sound sooo good!
Gravy freezes well it does change color but once thawed and heated it goes back like it was when you made it
I think I would add apples to the cinnamon roll dish. That would be yummy too.
On the Blueberry French toast....I wonder if you had made the cream cheese more like a frosting...add powdered sugar and used your hand mixer to whip it together if you would have liked it better??🤔🤔 And to all the other recipes...YUMMMM!!
To the enchilada recipe, I would add some green chilies and maybe some salsa....but that's what my family and I like.
Omg that farmers market casserole is definitely one I will do. I will add nopales and asparagus to it. Will it warm nice from frozen in the microwave or shall I thaw first?
Also, I haven’t seen your videos in a while and you look amazing! You look sooo radiant!
Made the breakfast enchiladas …..ohhhhh my word! I added bell pepper and onion and jalapeños and crispy crowns…..soooooooo good
My husband watches your vlogs with me. His mouth was drooling at the biscuits and gravy casserole (he said he'd want scrambled or fried eggs with it) and tater tot egg muffin cups. Thank you for these awesome recipes!! 🤗
That’s awesome!! Tell him hello, and you have to try the biscuits & gravy casserole. It’s so good!
Not nearly enough gravy. Way too dry.
So far I like every one of them you've made and I like the blueberry muffin the way it turned out can't wait to try every one of these
I don’t think ciabatta is a good sub for challah. Challah is much sweeter and lighter, not at all crusty or sourdough. I think something like a sweet Hawaiian roll would be more similar to sub in if challah wasn’t available! Since challah is pretty sweet and doughy itself, I could see how that recipe would almost be sort of bread-pudding-y with challah! Although I’m with you the cream cheese chunks - that seems odd!!
You could try softening the cream cheese and adding some heavy cream. Then pour it over the bread.
Fun video! I like that you taste it and give your honest opinion.
Thanks for watching!
Suggestion for making sausage gravy. Add sage or use the sage sausage and a little bit of beef bouillon. I think it adds a new debt of flavor. Those casseroles sound yum...my husband was very interested in me making those enchiladas! Thanks!
I'm just amazed how many of you have no idea how to cook PROPERLY?
Freezer Food, Tins, Jars, Packets ....
The amount of bad food and calories you are putting into your family, is a sin!
In Greece our traditional every day breakfast is usually bread ,butter and jam or honey,or cereal with milk and on the weekends maybe eggs, very simple and it's because we have many breakfast pies we buy for breakfast going to work and there are at schools too, cheese pies, sausage pies, spinach feta pies whatever pie you want and that's many times breakfast,easy..😉🧡💛💚💙💜❤️♥️
I made a breakfast casserole this weekend and I mixed half a bag of broccoli slaw in with some frozen hash browns. It turned out really good! So easy. Some of the longer pieces of slaw stayed slightly crunchy so if that's an issue for you a rough chop before adding the slaw would help.
Please do a aeightloss update! You look so fabulous! You are encouraging me to stay on my weightloss journey!
I was thinking the same thing!
I think I saw her comment on a viewers comment that it’s a medication she’s taking that’s making it easier for her to lose weight.
Can you please do a video where you explain more about the gluten free and why you have been using it more?
I can also see you have lots quite a bit of weight and feel as I have missed something.
Thank you for such lovely ideas.
Girl, you should've used your hand mixer.. cream cheese, add a stick of unsalted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, then pour the mixture over the blueberries and I would have used french toast sticks. Let it bake and drizzle maple syrup and powder sugar on top! BAM!
I make this casserole for Christmas except I use bread crumbs/chunks as a bottom layer. I just take stale or old bread and tear onto chunks on bottom then, potatoes, sausage, veggies, cheese then egg mixture. I let it set overnight before baking that way the eggs soak into the bread. This makes a nice crust. I've changed up potatoes and used diced (also good) I've changed up sausage and used leftover ham chunks. I find this recipe is very versatile as long as you have all your layers it's delicious. Bread layer, potatoe layer, meat layer, veggie layer, cheese layer and egg mixture on top. I use this to clear out my fridge. Enjoy
Love freezer meals and breakfast casseroles. You need to try you tuber Smokin & Grillin with AB biscuits and gravy breakfast casserole. It's so good I made extra gravy on the the side. Our family has made it several times along with his tater tots breakfast casserole. I love how you do your freezer meals. Love your channel and how you give us info on how to stock up and freeze. Inflation is high right now. I been stocking up way before pandemic you never know what's going to happen. Always keep the basic of what you need. Keep giving us those tips on how to save. 😊 Sorry it's not gluten free just looked back at your video.
I'm a very picky eater, but I think even I found a few things I like, or can modify to my liking. Is there a difference between the different colored bell peppers? I'm assuming there is. God bless!
For the Blueberry French Toast bake, I would mix the cream cheese with a bit of sugar, vanilla, milk and maybe a scoop of the egg mixture to give it the consistency of the cheesecake swirl in cheesecake swirl brownies or the cheese filling in a Danish. I love cream cheese and the chunks just sitting there look so unappetizing to me. I can see why you didn't care for it.
I would have just followed the recipe instead of changing things around the first attempt. That being said I very rarely ever use recipes. So I don't know.
I'd eat the sausage gravy and biscuits casserole all by my self..challah ( said holla ) is a slightly sweet egg based bread. I am wondering, if you cannot find challah or feel like making it, could you use hawaiin-stlye bread for the blueberry casserole?
Ooh that’s a great idea!
Gosh I miss the Pillsbury things, we don't have them here in New Zealand
When I watched the breakfast enchiladas recipe I couldn’t help but think of adding diced cooked potatoes. I can’t wait to try these out. Thk u so much for sharing ❤
It was good to watch but since I hate eggs, toast, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, fruit, meat this video isn't for me. I cut out breakfast years ago and lost 200 pounds. Breakfast made me fat
I have gluten allergy so I can't eat anything has gluten my stomach starts to hurt and bloated feel so sick and awful. I have to have gluten free foods
Woohoo! I just did one of these. It makes life so easy! You are such an inspiration Kimmie! Been watching you forever and love all of your tips, advice, videos and best of all your personality! I know you get loads of messages but I sent u a message on Insta🤗I hope u have a beautiful day!
Smaller cream cheese or soften and mix with eggs like thinner cheese cake filling. More blueberries with blueberry syrup in the blueberries. Kind of like a thick loaded blueberry pie filling. Any french toast without syrup isn't near as good. With the added sweetness and the blended cream cheese and eggs will improve it a lot.
These all look delicious. I'm just wondering if you could make some casseroles using a few less eggs cuz I'm not an egg person what would be your suggestions and like using more milk or whatever instead of the eggs but all of these look delicious mouth watering and I will try them. Blessings
My family loves it! I used 12oz of cream cheese and you definitely want to make the syrup! So good!
There is a great bed and breakfast in Corydon, Indiana called the Kintner House. If you go to their website they have a great breakfast dish. Use sausage. Enjoying your video.
Just wanted to say Thank You! Started watching your channel about 6 months ago, went back and watch all your videos and learned so much. Last month we shopped our pantry and freezers and saved a ton. I’ve knew about food storage, thank you for the guidance. Also love your dinner/food ideas. THANK YOU!
My French toast recipe calls for butter and sugar. It is much more moist than yours looks like. Everyone loves it. I think you erred by not putting the sauce on it, which would have made it more moist.
Awesome recipes!! All look good, I felt the cream cheese I would not have like like that when you put it in. Chunks of hot cream cheese are not good to me. I think I would soften the cream cheese and whip it then add in the blueberries and ass vanilla and sugar.
Wow, these all look amazing! I was drooling over the BB casserole, but your review was helpful. I'm def trying your two faves, the Farmers Market and the Cinnamon Roll casseroles. Mmmmmsss, I could almost smell these while you were cooking!
You are a AWESOME fabulous Cook AND a planner thank you so much Kimmy
These all look good and I really want to do the enchiladas first! At what point in the recipe would make it freezer friendly? I don’t really want to cook it completely then freeze. Before the egg?
Hi there I would have used only half of the cream cheese and cut it much smaller. I feel the blueberry compote was very important to the recipe, it was there for a reason. With that said I would try it again but do the complete recipe and I think you will love it.
What have you been doing to shed weight? You always looked beautiful to me but I've noticed you've slimmed down!
Wow! I am so excited for this.
If you would beat the cream cheese in with your egg & milk it would go all through you casserole. I don’t like maple syrup so you could use honey.
Sometimes "off brand" cream cheeses have added ingredients that make it so it doesn't melt and tastes awful. Try again with name brand cheese.
All seems delicious but i have a question, can i make the cinnamon rolls in the oven at a bake dish? I don't have a Crockpot.
You have the most beautiful Spirit and beautiful eyes, Love your information
Can the blueberry maple casserole be frozen raw? Do you have to cook it ahead of time? I think it would dry out when its reheated.
Ok so made the farmers casserole. Mine came out very runny yet the eggs were done. Did anyone else have this problem?
everything looks delicious thanks for sharing friend.
