    People like Carry Minati have millions of subscribers, all they're spreading is hatred against others making fun of others, and ppl like him who spread knowledge free has so less views. Our youth is going on the right track. congrats to us!

    Isnt it a pentapeptide attached to the sugars so 5 amino acids attached not , as there is the terminal D-ala-D-ala which is what vancomycin binds to and penicillin is an analogue of?

      He writes normally on a clear board.. the camera will pick up that he is writing inverted, but the vid can be editted to invert (flip) so it looks normal

    is the PG structure in gram negative bacteria not without the peptide cross bridge?

    • @biologybrainery
      @biologybrainery  2 года назад +1

      I am unaware of any structural difference between GM+ and GM- peptidoglycan. They should be identical. The few sugar layers and extra phospholipid layer are the main GM- difference. I will find out if there are any unique exceptions to the actual bonding structure and post back any news.

      @magdalenabotchukova6949 2 года назад +1

      @@biologybrainery ok thank you! I study Biotechnology and we are learning that in Gram neg. Bacteria the bond between the sugars is direct between m-DPA and D-Alanin without the bridge… or am I confusing something here D:
